Hu Qian tapped the table lightly and explained, "The news of the Black Alliance's formation spread yesterday from Feng City. The Gold and Silver Brothers, as Alliance Leaders, are stationed there, while the other sect leaders have all returned to guard their own sects.
Though the alliance is loosely bound and full of suspicion, they still share a common interest — if we attack one sect, the others will imdiately co to its aid. Yet if we spread our forces to surround them all, our strength won't be enough to wipe them out."
When Feng City was ntioned, several Inner Academy Elders glanced toward Liu Xi with aningful smiles. After Han Feng's death, even his forr territory had been taken over by others — the so-called "dicine Emperor" had fallen into utter ruin.
Liu Xi spoke calmly, "People of the Black-Corner Region act for profit above all else. Now that Han Feng is dead, we can spread word that anyone who joins us in subjugating the Black Alliance will be promised a pill refinent from . That should draw quite a few."

Imdiately, Hu Qian, Qin Xuan, and the other Elders objected in unison. "Absolutely not!"
He was their only 6th Tier Alchemist — far too valuable to risk as an assassin.
"Don't worry," Liu Xi said lightly, sitting up straight. "I'm confident. Even if sothing goes wrong, I can retreat safely."
'With my current strength, only the Gold and Silver Brothers pose a real threat. As for the rest… heh. I, Liu Xi, will slaughter them all.'
Zi Yan, who had been quietly chewing on a pill, suddenly looked up and said stubbornly, "Big Brother, I'm going with you this ti. You're not leaving behind again!"
"Of course," Liu Xi smiled. "I was planning to rely on your strength anyway."

Fan Lao's gaze softened slightly. "We'll rely on the Blood Fiend Formation to hold out for a while. If the Blood Pool runs dry and no opportunity arises, we'll take what remains of our wealth and leave the Black-Corner Region. With the Blood Sect's cultivation thods, rebuilding our strength elsewhere won't be difficult."
