Greetings, Junior Sect Leader."
"Hello, Junior Sect Leader!"
Ye Chen walked along a mountain path in Yunlan Sect. Every disciple he passed greeted him respectfully.
He nodded with a smile, his deanor calm and approachable.
It had been three days since the Inner Sect Grand Competition.
By now, the entire Yunlan Sect knew that Ye Chen had been appointed Junior Sect Leader.
Feeling the respect from everyone around him, Ye Chen's lips curved into a faint smile.
Becoming the Junior Sect Leader of Yunlan Sect was only the first step.
After a while, Ye Chen arrived at a building on the east side of the main peak...the Task Hall.
Yunlan Sect, being the top sect in the Gamma Empire, had a well-structured internal system. The Task Hall was where the senior mbers released tasks.
Any disciple who completed a task could earn contribution points. These points could then be exchanged for resources needed for cultivation.
"Junior Sect Leader is here!"
"Greetings, Junior Sect Leader!"
Many disciples were inside the hall. Seeing Ye Chen enter, those who recognized him quickly bowed in respect.
"No need for formalities," Ye Chen said with a faint smile, walking directly into the hall.
"Junior Sect Leader, may I ask the purpose of your visit?"
An attendant in charge of the Task Hall stepped forward imdiately, bowing respectfully.
"Attendant Li, I'm here to exchange so treasures," Ye Chen said.
Since being appointed Junior Sect Leader, Ye Chen had beco part of Yunlan Sect's senior ranks. Naturally, he now enjoyed privileges ordinary disciples did not.
While regular disciples needed enough contribution points to redeem treasures, senior mbers could directly exchange items or even purchase certain mid-tier treasures with gold.
Additionally, senior mbers could issue tasks to other disciples to accomplish their objectives.
"Please, Junior Sect Leader, co inside," Li said respectfully.
He led Ye Chen into a private room and imdiately had a cup of hot tea prepared.
"Thank you," Ye Chen said, nodding and taking a seat.
"What treasures would you like to exchange, Junior Sect Leader?"
Li picked up a thick ledger and placed it in front of Ye Chen. "This is the treasure list. Please take a look."
"I don't need to see it," Ye Chen said casually.
Looking at the thick book, Ye Chen waved dismissively. "Do you have any items that can restore spirit energy?"
"Items that restore spirit energy?" Li hesitated, frowning. "Those are extrely rare… let check."
He flipped through the treasure ledger carefully and shook his head. "
I'm sorry, Junior Sect Leader. Items that restore spirit energy are too rare. I've checked the inventory from the past year....none have been collected."
A trace of disappointnt crossed Ye Chen's face, but he nodded lightly.
Indeed, items capable of restoring spirit energy were extrely rare...even a powerful sect like Yunlan Sect could not easily obtain them.
Ye Chen's purpose for seeking such items was clear: he wanted to help Yao Chen improve his strength. Among his subordinates, Yao Chen had the most potential.
If Ye Chen could find treasures that restored spirit energy, Yao Chen could advance significantly.
"Attendant Li, help issue a task. Whoever can find an item that restores spirit energy will be rewarded with 3,000 contribution points
," Ye Chen said after a mont's thought.
"3,000 contribution points? Junior Sect Leader, that's quite a large reward. Are you sure—" Li hesitated.
"Afraid I don't have enough to offer?" Ye Chen said, already understanding his concern.
He placed the scroll and elixir he had received as first prize from the Grand Competition on the table.
"This is a high-level Mystic Tier combat technique and a Grade Four elixir. That should be enough, right?" Ye Chen said casually.
For him, the technique and elixir were useless, so he was willing to offer them as task rewards.
Li picked up the jade bottle, uncorked it to sll the elixir, and examined the scroll. A smile appeared on his face. "
This is more than enough. These are worth at least 4,000 contribution points."
"Then let's make it 4,000 contribution points. Whoever brings an item that restores spirit energy will receive 4,000 points," Ye Chen said nonchalantly.
"Understood. I'll issue the task imdiately," Li said, nodding.
"Wait a mont," Ye Chen called, taking out a list from his storage ring.
"Gather as many of these dicinal ingredients as you can," he said, handing a purple-gold card to Li.
The card shimred with five different colored waves.
A Five-Pattern Purple-Gold Card required at least Dou Ling-level strength to obtain, representing significant status.
So elite powers could also possess such cards.
"Any gold required, just use this card," Ye Chen said.
"This is… a Five-Pattern Purple-Gold Card?" Li's eyes widened in surprise, then glimred with envy.
He knew of Ye Chen's background...he was a legitimate mber of the Miter family, a prestigious and wealthy clan in the Gamma Empire.
The card's possession indicated imnse trust and status.
Ye Chen, however, smiled faintly. This card was not from the Miter family—it ca from Xiao Xun'er's small treasure stash.
The young lady, being the daughter of the Ancient Clan's leader, was quite wealthy.
Her storage ring alone contained five such purple-gold cards....more than enough for Ye Chen to use.
"Junior Sect Leader, I'll handle this right away. Please wait here," Li said, regaining his composure and taking the list before hurrying out of the room.
"Having privileges certainly makes things easier," Ye Chen said with a faint smile.
He was procuring the ingredients to allow Yao Chen to refine powerful elixirs.
For soone of Yao Chen's potential, being stuck in a small space just cooking for Xiao Xun'er's household was a waste of talent.
Ye Chen had Yao Chen list all the ingredients he needed for the elixirs so that they could be procured in one go.
With Yunlan Sect's resources, he could likely gather nearly everything on the list
