A short while later, Ye Chen leaned back, exhaling in quiet satisfaction.
His gaze drifted to Xiao Xun'er, lying silently on the ground, her eyes unfocused and her expression blank. He reached down and gently patted her shoulder.
"Good girl. You've worked hard."
"Rest here for now. Your master has sothing to handle outside."
With the heat in his body finally subdued, another face flashed in his mind....Yafei's. She was probably worried sick after he hadn't returned all night.
"Go out?"
At his words, a spark lit up Xun'er's tired eyes. She quickly pleaded,
"Master… please take with you!"
"Uh…" Ye Chen paused, caught off guard, before a faint smile curved his lips.
"Be good, Xun'er. Now isn't the right ti. Do well, and before long, I promise I'll take you with ."
Her gaze softened into sothing almost childlike as she pressed,
"Master… after everything I've done for you, you still won't let go?"
Ye Chen crouched, tilting her chin with two fingers. His eyes glinted with teasing mischief.
"Not now. But soon. You did well just now....keep it up. As long as I'm happy, you'll get what you want."
"Please, Master… take out first. I'll do even better once we're outside…"
When she saw he wasn't swayed, desperation crept in. She clutched his sleeve tightly.
"My good Xun'er," Ye Chen's voice dipped, soft yet edged with warning, "are you disobeying again?"
Her breath caught.
"N-no… I'll listen. But… please promise you'll take next ti."
His gaze lingered on her for a long mont. Then, coolly,
"We'll see.... depending on your performance."
The next instant, his figure vanished from the small world.
"Master…?"
Her voice trembled into the empty space. The silence that followed was crushing. A single tear traced down her cheek.
Ye Chen reappeared in the secluded courtyard behind the Mittel Auction House.
"Ling Ying."
From the shadows, a figure erged and bowed deeply. "Master."
"I'm sending you back into the small world. Watch Xun'er closely.....don't let her do anything foolish."
Though Xiao Yan's existence kept her tethered to life, Ye Chen knew despair could drive her to extres.
"Yes, Master."
With a nod, he sent Ling Ying back inside.
A faint smirk tugged at his lips. I didn't co back all night… Yafei must be worried.
As he headed toward her quarters, the faint scent of last night still clung to his skin.
He frowned. Even without going all the way, the night had left him disheveled. First, he'd put Yafei at ease
then take a bath.
"Mmm… Xun'er will need one too. And so proper necessities. If she's staying there, she should be comfortable. A soft bed is a must—letting a girl like that sleep on the floor? Unthinkable."
"Ye Chen little brother! Where were you all night? I was so worried!"
Yafei's relief was instant when she saw him. She rushed forward, wrapping her arms around him tightly.
"Didn't I tell you I was fine? Just out dealing with sothing. See? Perfectly fine."
She looked pale, her eyes shadowed from a sleepless night. Warmth stirred in his chest, and he held her close.
Yafei, sharp as ever, wasn't convinced. His startled cry from last night still echoed in her mind, but if he wouldn't talk, pressing would get her nowhere.
"Oh, really?"
Her expression softened into playful suspicion as she leaned closer, breathing in his scent.
A faint smile touched her lips.
"Tell , Ye Chen… was your 'business' last night with another woman?"
For a heartbeat, he froze
Then realized she'd caught the lingering trace of Xun'er's scent.
He chuckled lightly.
"With Sister Yafei here, why would I need anyone else?"
His gaze slid over her figure. She wore her signature red cheongsam, every curve accentuated. Even after last night, desire stirred again.
"You naughty man....gone all night, and now you want to misbehave again?"
Her low laugh dripped with mature charm. He forced himself to hold back; she was tired, and he wanted her to rest.
Noticing his restraint, a flicker of satisfaction crossed her eyes. She knew her hold over him.....and believed no other woman could take him away.
"Yafei-jie, have soone prepare hot water. I'll bathe, then you should rest."
Her teasing softened into warmth. "Little bad boy's finally grown up.... knows how to care for his sister now."
They parted, and Ye Chen returned to his room. Before long, several pretty maids arrived, carrying steaming buckets.
"Young Master Ye Chen, Miss Yafei sent us to serve you while you bathe."
Soon, he was soaking in warmth, his muscles relaxing under the maids' delicate touch as they washed his back.
"Ah… comfortable."
Then...
Ding!
"Congratulations, host. You have successfully impregnated Yafei. System reward pack granted. Please keep up the good work!"
The system's voice rang out clearly in Ye Chen's mind after a long silence.
