The loud, rhythmic thumping of the massive helicopter blades slowly turned into a soft, steady hum.

Roxy kept her eyes squeezed tightly shut. She hid her burning, sweaty face against Zarek’s warm chest, her hands gripping his dark shirt. She felt totally, completely exhausted. Her body was burning with a terrible fever, and her heart physically hurt from missing her babies so much. She felt like she was trapped in a dark, spinning tunnel.

But Zarek held her incredibly tight. He used his broad chest and his giant arms to shield her from the noise and the cold, rocking her gently the entire flight.

After what felt like hours, the helicopter started to descend. The pilot set them down incredibly smoothly. The engine cut off, and the loud noise finally faded away into perfect, total silence.

Zarek wrapped the thick white blanket tighter around her shivering shoulders. He stepped out of the helicopter, carrying her easily.

The cold, loud, polluted wind of the human city was completely gone. Instead, the air slled fresh, clean, and sweet. It slled like a thick pine forest after a heavy rain. It was the best thing Roxy had slled in months.

Roxy slowly blinked her tired green eyes open. She looked over Zarek’s broad shoulder.

Her breath completely caught in her dry throat.

They were miles and miles away from New York City. The noisy traffic, the honking cars, and the tall glass buildings were entirely replaced by endless, quiet green trees. But the trees weren’t the most shocking part.

Sitting right in the absolute middle of the massive private mountain was a breathtaking estate.

It didn’t look like a rich human’s sumr house. It looked like a literal, actual castle. It was built from massive blocks of heavy grey stone and incredibly thick, dark wood. The roof had sharp, beautiful peaks that reached up toward the sky. The giant front doors were made of solid oak, wrapped in heavy, dark iron.

Zarek had bought this entire mountain and completely customized the building just for them. He hadn’t just built a big house. He had perfectly mimicked the protective, ancient, magical feel of the Iron-Wood Manor back in the Beastworld.

Roxy stared at the massive estate, her feverish brain struggling to understand it.

The penthouse in the city was expensive, but this? This was a completely different level of money. This proved that their wealth was totally, completely limitless. They had bought their own private kingdom on Earth just to make her smile. They had built her a fortress so she would never feel scared or hosick again.

Zarek carried her up the wide stone steps and walked right through the giant front doors.

Inside, it was incredibly warm. Huge, beautiful stone fireplaces crackled with bright, orange flas, filling the massive rooms with the comforting sll of woodsmoke. It felt exactly like their old magic ho. It felt perfectly safe.

Zarek walked up a wide, sweeping wooden staircase, his brothers following closely behind. He carried her down a long, beautiful hallway and pushed open a set of heavy double doors.

The master bedroom was absolutely giant. It was the size of a normal human house all on its own. It had its own sitting area with leather couches, a massive stone fireplace, and giant windows looking out over the private, quiet forest.

But the best part was the bed. It was huge, covered in layers of soft, fluffy pillows and thick, luxurious blankets.

Zarek gently laid her down right in the middle of it. It felt like sinking into a perfectly warm, soft cloud.

Ren quickly brought her a glass of cool water and a small white pill to help her sleep. Roxy swallowed the dicine, her heavy eyelids drooping shut almost instantly. Torian sat carefully on the edge of the mattress, his giant hand gently stroking her damp, dark curls. Kaelen pulled the thick blankets all the way up to her chin, tucking her in securely.

Surrounded by her loving husbands and the familiar, comforting sll of woodsmoke, the terrible, painful panic in her chest finally started to quiet down. Her body relaxed, and she fell into a deep, heavy, healing sleep.

Hours passed. The bright morning sun outside the giant windows slowly turned into a soft, golden afternoon light.

Roxy finally opened her eyes.

The heavy, burning heat in her skin was completely gone. The soft white pill and the long rest had finally broken her emotional fever. She felt a little bit weak, like she had just run a very long race, but the crushing, terrible pain of missing her babies had faded into a quiet, manageable ache.

She sat up slowly, pushing the fluffy blankets off her legs.

The giant bedroom was totally quiet. The Kings had probably stepped out to let her rest peacefully.

Roxy swung her bare feet over the edge of the massive bed. Her toes sank into a thick, totally soft rug. She stood up, wrapping her silk robe tightly around her waist. She felt curious. She wanted to look around her beautiful new ho.

She walked across the giant bedroom toward another set of tall wooden doors. She thought it might be the bathroom, so she turned the shiny brass handle and pushed the doors open.

She froze right in the doorway.

It was not a bathroom. It was a walk-in closet, but calling it a closet was a huge joke. It looked like an entire, highly expensive shopping mall.

The room was massive, lit by sparkling crystal chandeliers hanging from the high ceiling. Roxy’s jaw completely dropped in absolute shock.

There were endless rows of beautiful, sparkling dresses in every single color you could ever imagine. There were hundreds of pairs of designer shoes sitting neatly on brightly lit shelves. There were glass cases filled with glittering diamond necklaces, shiny gold bracelets, and expensive watches. Every single item of clothing was perfectly tailored to her exact size.

The Kings had filled the room with millions and millions of dollars in clothes and jewelry, making absolutely sure their Queen had everything she could ever want or need in this new human world.

Roxy walked slowly down the center aisle, her eyes wide with total amazent. She brushed her fingers against the soft silk dresses and the warm winter coats, feeling incredibly spoiled. Her husbands truly worshipped the ground she walked on.

She kept walking, wandering deeper into the sparkling room until she reached the very back.

But at the back of the giant closet, there were no more dresses. There were no more shiny shoes.

Instead, set deeply into the thick stone wall, was a door. It didn’t look like the other beautiful wooden doors in the house. It was a heavy, reinforced steel vault door. It had a thick tal spinning wheel on the front and a bright red digital keypad. It looked exactly like the kind of door you would find in a highly secure underground bank. It was totally, completely out of place in a pretty closet.

Roxy frowned, tilting her head to the side.

Why was there a heavy bank vault hiding in the back of her closet? What in the world did her husbands need to lock away so safely in a house that was already heavily guarded?

Curiosity got the better of her. She reached her hand out, wanting to see if the thick tal wheel would spin.

Before her fingers could even touch the cold steel, a massive shadow completely blocked the light of the crystal chandelier.

Roxy gasped, taking a quick step backward.

Torian stepped right out from behind a tall row of dresses. The giant White Tiger moved shockingly fast and silently for such a huge man. He placed his massive body directly between Roxy and the heavy steel vault door. He totally blocked her path.

Torian did not have his usual big, happy, playful grin.

Instead, the giant muscle man looked incredibly, surprisingly nervous. He shuffled his big boots awkwardly on the soft carpet. He looked down at her, rubbing the back of his neck with his giant hand, his bright blue eyes darting away from hers for just a second.

"You shouldn’t look in there yet, my sweet bunny."
