Xu Ran and the Peregrine Falcon quickly reacted. In such a trendous pressure-filled environnt, they soon stabilized themselves, preventing their bodies from falling to the ground due to the trembling of the earth.
Quickly.
The earthquake-like tremors subsided.
"Ssss---"
"Ssss---"
"Ssss---"
However, the rustling sound, coming from an unknown source, did not disappear.
Xu Ran looked around, trying to locate the direction of the sound. After a mont, a gleam flashed in his eyes as he pointed to the ground ahead.
"On the ground!"
As soon as he spoke, following the direction of Xu Ran’s finger, they saw the land, which was originally extrely solid, begin to resemble quicksand, slowly gathering and forming a small mound.
At this mont, a massive figure slowly erged from the sandpile.
It was a nightmare-like snake-like bone monster. Its skull resembled a giant skeleton pieced together from countless shattered bones, with eerie green flas burning in its hollow eye sockets, as if it could perceive all the world’s fears. Its body was constructed of segnts of enormous vertebrae, each bone exuding an ancient and decaying aura, casting an unnerving cold light under the reflection of the green flas.
The Snake Demon exuded a decaying aura that perated the entire valley, as if it had returned from Hell, ancient and quite powerful, at least stronger than the Peregrine Falcon, the Mantis Demon encountered in the Great Mountain, and the White Ape.
Its tiny eyes glowed with a strange green light, staring intently at Xu Ran and the Peregrine Falcon, as if viewing them as enemies.
As it continued to erge from the sandpile, the mound gradually diminished, and the snake-like bone monster appeared on the surface. Its enormous body was fully exposed, its porcelain-like white bones flashing with an icy gleam, appearing extrely sharp. A light scratch across the firm ground created a furrow, emitting a harsh scraping sound.
The aura from Hell quickly spread throughout the valley, seemingly intent on completely assimilating the only two living creatures here.
The snake-like bone monster lay in front of the gigantic corpse, spanning dozens of ters, but compared to the several kiloter-sized corpse, it appeared extrely small.
The snake-like bone monster now seed like a guardian of the corpse, standing in front of the body with its eerie green gaze fixed on Xu Ran and the Peregrine Falcon, as if any slight movent from them would result in their death here, in its company.
"What exactly is this thing?"
Xu Ran, witnessing this scene, narrowed his pupils into a bright dot, staring motionlessly at the snake-like bone monster before him.
Such a scene, even for soone who had lived three lifetis like Xu Ran, was sothing he had never seen.
A corpse being guarded by another corpse; even in death, peace is not allowed!
Though unaware of what exactly was happening, the best course of action now was to remain motionless, as the snake-like bone monster was also not making any moves against them.
The Peregrine Falcon, whose potential was triggered by the Kunpeng Essence Blood, remained extrely shocked at this scene.
Not to ntion the enormous, unknown corpse, just the snake-like bone monster that just erged exerted a pressure greater than the White Ape and Mantis Demon it previously encountered.
The decaying, eerily invasive aura from Hell constantly eroded its body, and without the Kunpeng Essence Blood, its Peregrine Falcon bloodline, even with Innate Qi, would not withstand even a blink of ti.
Fortunately, the snake-like bone monster before them was not currently taking any action against them, just staring intently; any movent from them would lead to their imdiate demise on the spot.
In this brief mont.
The ti supported by the Kunpeng Essence Blood for the Peregrine Falcon was up; the ancient, wrathful aura slowly dissipated from the Peregrine Falcon, fully restoring its own aura.
"Crack!"
As the Peregrine Falcon returned to its original state, imnse pressure swept over it, causing its small body to uncontrollably step forward.
"Tap!"
A very faint sound emanated from beneath its feet, incredibly weak, but to Xu Ran, the Peregrine Falcon, and the snake-like bone monster, it was like noise.
"Hiss---"
The next mont.
The already green-glowing snake-like bone monster shot out its forked tongue, a long green bone, spewing forth its decaying aura with full force, swiftly enveloping the entire valley, directly targeted at Xu Ran and the Peregrine Falcon.
"Watch out!"
Simultaneously.
A gentle voice appeared by the Peregrine Falcon’s ear. Looking down, it saw a white, invisible strap around its waist connecting it to Xu Ran.
In just a mont of distraction, the snake-like bone monster, which had been hundreds of ters away, was now right in front of the Peregrine Falcon.
A huge shadow passed in front of its eyes, and when the Peregrine Falcon looked again, a giant white bone was already before it, ready to strike it the very next second.
The accompanying gust scraped its face, and even with the nourishnt of the Kunpeng Essence Blood, it felt a stinging pain.
"It’s over!"
At that mont, the Peregrine Falcon had only this thought in its mind.
With its speed, facing such a sudden attack, there was no way to dodge, and with its power, resisting it would only result in death.
No matter what, it was a dead end.
"In that case, I might as well go down with you; that way, I can at least provide a bit of advantage to my master!"
Although it couldn’t resist, gathering all its Spiritual Qi and striking the giant bone, although it couldn’t cause serious harm, injuring it a bit shouldn’t be a problem.
Its gaze was resolute, eyes fixedly staring at the massive white bone about to hit its face.
The next mont, a powerful tug appeared at its waist, and its body was suddenly pulled backwards.
"Thud—thud—thud—"
Its body tumbled to the ground, the great speed causing it to roll several tis, its feathers stained with the valley’s eerie green soil, finally coming to a stop after several tumbles. It looked back at where it had just been.
Just as its body left, the giant white bone swept through with imnse force, compressing the area into a collapsing space.
"Gulp!"
Watching that scene, it swallowed hard, realizing that had it still been there, it would have been instantly crushed by the collapsing space, leaving no chance of survival, not even a trace.
Simultaneously, the Peregrine Falcon gratefully observed the white thread around its waist, recognizing that its master Xu Ran had dragged it back from the brink of death.
"Rest well, leave the rest to !"
Xu Ran’s calm voice resonated in the Peregrine Falcon’s ears, that steady tone as if it could solve all the world’s troubles, making it feel undeniably safe. Imdiately, it rested and went to a perfectly safe spot.
Xu Ran, alone, his eyes glinting with golden light, Innate Qi swirling around his pupils, as if he was about to see through every aspect of the snake-like bone monster.
"That bone monster’s speed was indeed swift, even Xiao Bai couldn’t react." Xu Ran’s tone carried slight seriousness.
The Peregrine Falcon’s cultivation level may not be high, but speed is its forte. Even so, it didn’t react in ti, leaving only one possibility: the snake-like bone monster before them has a cultivation far exceeding the Peregrine Falcon’s, otherwise it couldn’t have failed to respond under similar conditions.
"Its attack on Xiao Bai, that giant white bone, should be its snake tail."
"It can only attack physically, without Divine Techniques!"
Xu Ran’s eyes brightened, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly, his crafty gaze seemingly unraveling everything.
