"Xu Ran, with each step you ascend on the White Jade Stairs, the pressure increases exponentially. With your talent, as long as you persevere, you can definitely reach above the clouds!"
The mysterious figure shouted a reminder at Xu Ran upon seeing his face.
Although just as Xu Ran was about to step onto the hundredth step of the White Jade Stairs, he entered that mysterious Dueling Arena and faced the first test of the Cuckoo.
However, in the Dao Field, unless one’s talent is sufficient, they cannot see the mysterious space above every hundred steps of the White Jade Stairs.
Therefore, in the eyes of the mysterious figure, Xu Ran’s right foot, which was lifted, had not set down on the hundredth step because he couldn’t withstand the trendous pressure.
Who would have known, Xu Ran had entered that mysterious trial.
His kind reminder was undoubtedly in hopes that Xu Ran would successfully step onto the stairs above the clouds so he could seize Xu Ran’s body then.
Naturally, Xu Ran knew of the deceitful intentions of the mysterious figure, but for the Peregrine Falcon’s soul, he chose to endure for now.
"Don’t worry, I can hold on!"
Xu Ran’s small figure stood on the hundredth step of the White Jade Stairs, his expression calm, his gaze firm. Nothing could hinder his progress, though a few drops of cold sweat on his forehead seed to reveal so exertion.
The mysterious figure noticed the cold sweat on Xu Ran’s forehead and felt a hint of panic, truly believing Xu Ran was sweating from the imnse pressure.
But, he never imagined that, with his talent, he couldn’t even see the trial space above every hundred levels, let alone what went on in that Dueling Arena.
"Huff!"
Xu Ran turned back, his gaze once again fell upon the White Jade Stairs.
Even though he had just erged from the trial space, and there wasn’t much pressure in the previous hundred steps, the pressure suddenly surged as he reached the hundredth step.
The pressure compared to the prior steps increased hundreds of tis. Without the Great Success of his Innate Saint’s Sacred Body, he might have been crushed into at paste.
"Thud!"
Xu Ran lifted his foot once more, instantaneously.
It was as if a Mount Tai was pressing on his body, an indescribable pressure suddenly erged, an invisible pressure descended upon him, causing Xu Ran’s knees to bend slightly.
The mysterious figure rejoiced when Xu Ran lifted his foot, which signified he had adjusted and could continue ascending the White Jade Stairs. Yet, upon seeing Xu Ran’s knees bend, his smile froze, his mouth twitched, like a statue, standing motionless at the bottom of the White Jade Stairs, eyes fixed on Xu Ran.
"Xu Ran’s talent, identified as the Young Divine King, is a level never before seen since the Dao Field ca into being, but why is the pressure so great for him? Why is it so arduous to even climb the hundredth step?"
After so ti, the mysterious figure ca back to his senses, muttering while his mouth twitched.
When he saw Xu Ran’s talent was that unprecedented golden hue, he was overjoyed, as this golden color surpassed even the purple.
As one with a pale red talent, he was the foremost of his era, overshadowing all geniuses, and could reach just below the clouds with relative ease.
During this journey, although pressures constantly swept over, trying to break one’s will and body, it was never as difficult as it was for Xu Ran.
"Could it be that although Xu Ran’s talent is high, his age is too young, and his will and body are too frail, making it so arduous to walk?"
The mysterious figure began to speculate.
The White Jade Stairs not only tested talent but also the physical body, will, and various potentials.
Only by consolidating all these conditions could one walk relatively smoothly on these White Jade Stairs.
Upon reflection, it seems his involvent was sowhat off-track.
"It seems I was too hasty, although Xu Ran’s appearance was identical to the one I saw in the illusion, only smaller, I didn’t take his age into account!"
The mysterious figure felt a bit regretful.
"Knowing this, he should’ve been allowed to cultivate for a while longer, until his overall qualities were more balanced, before letting him walk the White Jade Stairs!"
But this was not entirely his fault.
He had turned into a heart, hidden within the body of the Snake Demon for who knows how long before encountering soone chosen by the valley. That mont of excitent imdiately overwheld his thoughts, prompting him to hastily erge from the Snake Demon, eager to guide Xu Ran onto the White Jade Stairs.
"I can only hope Xu Ran can overco this hurdle, otherwise, my plan spanning endless years will fail!"
The mysterious figure said, yet his eyes held expectations for Xu Ran.
At this mont, faced with such imnse pressure, Xu Ran’s knees only bent slightly for a mont before an invisible force suddenly erupted from within his body.
"Ha!"
A low shout, the slightly bent knees and back straightened instantly, the small figure seed to brim with infinite power, the youthful limbs now flexed and muscular lines erged starkly.
"Huff!" Xu Ran, straightening his back, sighed deeply, "It’s really not easy to step onto this hundredth and one step!"
Even though taking this step was imnsely challenging, Xu Ran’s gaze at this mont was incredibly sharp.
