In Cheng Su’s view, although Qing City offers a way out, the opportunities are still more plentiful in big cities. She wants to move her business there, but she’s currently struggling with funding issues.
And Third Uncle Cheng wants to work in renovation; Qing City isn’t impossible for that, but over where Yuan Dazhi is, business is pretty stable. Father Cheng then suggested they let Third Uncle Cheng eat at ho and also have Haizi and his brother go fetch Third Aunt so the family could enjoy a hearty al together.
Cheng Su took the opportunity to lecture Cheng Zhi on the importance of studying.
"Who says going to school is the only way to succeed? I’m going to be a big boss in the future and hire college graduates and PhDs to work for , shine my shoes, and see how aweso they are." Cheng Zhi boastfully declared.
Cheng Su was amused but replied sternly, "Then you need to have skills too; if you’re a boss who can’t even do the accounts, what if the people under you deceive you? Wouldn’t you suffer a great loss? But if you’ve read a lot and know a lot, others won’t dare to fool you."
Cheng Zhi looked thoughtful.
"Finish senior high school honestly first; just one year left, you’ve studied so long already, and it’s just the last stretch. Give it your all, and passing will an all those years of early mornings and late nights weren’t in vain! If you don’t pass, then rethink your plans, but you must give it your all! Cheng Su flicked his forehead in jest, calling him a little rascal, causing Cheng Zhi to yelp in mock protest.
