Qi Taiguo gave Chiang Qing a cold glare, but she pretended not to see it and leisurely picked up her cup to drink tea, as if the tea was particularly delicious.

Were these displays of affection just to make sure outsiders knew how close they were?
Chiang Qing put down her cup and stood up abruptly.
"Is Doctor Chiang leaving already? Stay a while longer, we haven’t started dinner yet," said Cheng Su as she stood up.
Look at that, so uncultured, clearly wanting soone to leave but disguising it as an invitation to stay, leaving no room for criticism.
Chiang Qing thought resentfully, I won’t do as you wish.

Chiang Qing glared, her hand over her mouth, flas practically shooting from her eyes.
Yet Cheng Su still looked concerned, "Doctor Chiang, if you feel unwell, you must tell us. It’s rare for you to visit if sothing happens here, it would be our fault!"
Chiang Qing stood up, "I’m fine, it’s getting late, I’m heading off." Then she looked at Qi Taiguo.
"Oh, then no need to see you out!" Cheng Su stood up as well and nudged Qi Taiguo with her mouth, "Go set the table for dinner, Old Qi. Doctor Chiang, take care on your way out!"
