Qin Jiqun and Feng Lan were actually a little intimidated by this girl, Qin Jiao, and imdiately nodded with placating smiles.
Qin Jiao continued, "Now that you’ve apologized, you should go. We’re moving, so it’s not a good ti to have guests."
Feng Lan was instantly displeased. "Qin Jiao, what’s with your tone? He’s your own uncle, and I’m your own aunt. How are we ’guests’?"
"Oh, Uncle is definitely family. As for whether *this* aunt is, that’s another question."
Feng Lan imdiately blew up. "You damned brat..."
Before she could finish, her own younger brother, Feng Dayong, stopped her. He was smiling with ill intent. "Little Nine, it’s not good to be so insensible. After all, insensible people tend to suffer for it."
He spoke with a hidden aning, and the look in his eyes was utterly repulsive. Qin Zhonghui, standing nearby, couldn’t take it anymore. He frowned and said, "That’s enough. I know why you’re here. I’ve already asked the landlord, and they don’t plan to rent this place out again. You’ll have to find a house sowhere else!"
Qin Jiqun didn’t say anything, but the Feng siblings exchanged a look. Feng Dayong said, "Well, not renting is fine too. It’s just that it’s a bit inconvenient for these next couple of days. Could I crash here for a bit? You’re moving out anyway, so I won’t stay long. Just two or three days, really! I promise!"
’Who do they take for an idiot? If I let you stay for a few days, you’d probably strip the whole house bare!’
Qin Jiao looked at her Third Uncle, Qin Jiqun. "Uncle, do you even know what he plans to do if he moves in?"
Qin Jiqun really didn’t know. Feng Lan had been crying and throwing a fit, begging him to co and help. She’d argued that if they couldn’t rent it, staying for a few days should be fine. Weren’t they family? How could he refuse to help with such a small thing?
Seeing her uncle’s clueless expression, Qin Jiao shifted her gaze to Feng Lan. Feng Lan was clearly on edge and didn’t even dare to et her eyes. But after a few seconds, she hardened her stance and turned to Qin Zhonghui. "I say, Second Brother, what’s going on? Is this damned girl, Qin Jiao, running your household now?"
On this point, Qin Zhonghui and Su Yun were in perfect agreent. He nodded and said, "Yes, she is."
Feng Lan: "..."
Qin Jiao said in a calm tone, "I’ve already said no. Uncle, you all should head back now."
In the end, the three of them scurried away in defeat. Before leaving, however, Feng Dayong shot Qin Jiao a vicious glare.
Once Qin Zhonghui had closed the door, he frowned. "I get the feeling that Feng Dayong isn’t giving up. What on earth is he planning to do?"
Su Yun said, "Isn’t it obvious? He plans to sell off everything valuable in this house. The look in that Feng Dayong’s eyes was disgusting. And Feng Lan, she’s just plain stupid! Zhong Hui, if your brother doesn’t get a new wife, he’s definitely headed for trouble!"
It wasn’t that Su Yun was cursing her brother-in-law to get a divorce. It was just that while her brother-in-law was gluttonous and lazy, he would never dare to break the law. Feng Dayong, on the other hand, was clearly not a good person.
If Qin Jiqun ever got mixed up in Feng Dayong’s sches, it would probably be enough to give the old man and old lady a fatal heart attack!
Qin Zhonghui frowned, but he truly didn’t know what to do.
Qin Jiao said softly, "Since he’s not a good person, we should just send him to prison. Don’t let him stay out here harming people."
Seeing Feng Dayong this ti had suddenly reminded her of sothing.
In her past life, this Feng Dayong had always been a petty thief. Once, after being discovered while stealing, he had bludgeoned an old woman to death.
But because the old woman was a widow who lived alone, her body wasn’t discovered for a long ti. By then, there was no evidence left at the scene, and with no security caras or anything like that, Feng Dayong was never caught.
