The female classmate said, "Oh, you an Qin Jiao? She went to talk to the dorm supervisor. She’s not living on campus this sester."

Lin Nian froze.

’I was just thinking about how I was going to show off to Qin Jiao, how I was going to steal her luck, and now... she’s moving out of the dorms?!’

Lin Nian said hurriedly, "Are you sure you heard that right? Qin Jiao’s family is so poor, why would she move out?"

The girl was trying to pack her things quickly so she could go out with her friends. She said, a bit annoyed, "If you don’t believe , just wait until class and ask her yourself."

Lin Nian sat on the edge of her bed, her brow deeply furrowed.

It felt like finally getting first place after always coming in second, only to find out that the person you wanted to gloat to—the one who was now second place—had transferred schools.

’So frustrating! So infuriating!’

anwhile, Qin Jiao had already completed the paperwork to withdraw from the dorms. Her parents had taken her luggage ahead of her. She walked into the classroom with her schoolbag, her gaze firm as she looked at the college entrance exam countdown on the blackboard.

’I’m not just going to take the college entrance exams and get into a university, I’m going to get into my dream school!’

Perhaps it was because of the spring water, but Qin Jiao felt her senses were sharper and her mory had improved significantly.

She had also put so spring water in those stead buns, but the amount was so small that everyone who ate them just thought they were delicious.

But it was different for Qin Jiao. She drank at least a liter of water every day, and she had replaced all the drinking water at ho—any water they consud—with the spring water.

’I don’t know about anything else, but I just hope my family can be healthy.’

The class hadn’t changed; it was still the sa group of students. When Shen Yi walked in, he nodded at Qin Jiao but said nothing. It was a normal gesture, so Qin Jiao didn’t think much of it.

Then, Lin Nian and Chen Feng ca in together. A mont before, Lin Nian had a shy look on her face and seed to be giggling uncontrollably at sothing Chen Feng had said. But the next mont, when she saw Qin Jiao sitting there reading a book, her expression imdiately fell.

But she managed to restrain herself.

Chen Feng, on the other hand, glanced in Qin Jiao’s direction a couple of tis, his eyes full of disgust.

It was as if Qin Jiao had committed so heinous cri.

But Qin Jiao couldn’t care less about Chen Feng, the male lead of this book. Her future life path would have no intersection with his. The biggest connection they had was being classmates right now.

Once they graduated high school, they would go their separate ways.

So Qin Jiao didn’t pay him any mind at all.

Their first class was supposed to be with their horoom teacher, Li i. But the students sat in the classroom until eight o’clock, and Li i still hadn’t shown up.

The class monitor had no choice but to get up and look for her. A mont later, the monitor returned, looking troubled. "The teacher is busy with sothing," she said. "Let’s just have a study hall for now."

"What could she be busy with? It’s the first day of school."

"Isn’t she usually the most enthusiastic on the first day? After all, a lot of parents will be visiting her house after school..."

So students stayed quiet while others made snide remarks, but Qin Jiao remained perfectly calm.

’Timing-wise, that complaint letter I wrote before the break should be taking effect by now.’

Qin Jiao cherished every second of study ti now, so she wouldn’t waste even one extra mont thinking about that unethical teacher.

At that very mont, Li i’s face was flushed as she faced the people from the Provincial Education Bureau. She said frantically, "Everything on there is slander! I’ve never accepted bribes! I’ve never bullied students! I haven’t..."

"Teacher Li, this complaint letter states things very clearly. It says which parent gave you your television, which parent gave you your bicycle, and that another parent gave you a gold ring. There’s... a lot more. Furthermore, several previous cases of students dropping out are also related to you. Please cooperate with our investigation."

Li i’s legs gave out, and she collapsed to the floor.
