It wasn’t like this in her last life.
In her last life, that whole fiasco was never properly explained. Qin Jiao was doubted by nearly everyone, and even Shen Yi ca to hate her because of it.
None of the teachers or students believed her, nor did her family. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say she was utterly alone.
And Du Liya’s tirade was the last straw that broke the cal’s back.
She was convinced that Qin Jiao was a woman with ulterior motives who had ruined her son’s reputation.
However, once the situation had completely blown out of proportion, soone—it’s unclear who—gave Du Liya an idea. They suggested that the only way to minimize the impact on Shen Yi was for Qin Jiao to simply marry him.
That person also told Du Liya that since Shen Yi had his condition, he might not be able to find a wife in the future. They argued it was better to take this opportunity to have Qin Jiao marry him so she could bear Du Liya a grandson.
That person was truly vicious.
Only later did Qin Jiao learn that this woman, who appeared to be Du Liya’s good friend, was actually... Ji Yuehong, the cousin of Chen Feng’s mother, Li Xiaoi.
Reliving her life, Qin Jiao could see it all clearly now. In the end, that poor woman, Du Liya, had been jointly conspired against by her supposed friend and the people around her.
Her end was tragic as well.
Faced with what Sun Guotao said, Du Liya glanced again at the girl. With her aggrieved expression, she looked for all the world like she had been frad. Du Liya hesitated, then said, "It was Li i who told . If you don’t believe it, call her in here to face ."
Sun Guotao shook his head. "We can’t. She’s already been fired from the school for a major transgression."
"What? Fired?"
"Yes. That’s why I’m now the head teacher for Class 10 of Year 3."
Du Liya had been so eager to find soone to bla that it was only now clicking into place. She had asked to see the head teacher for Class 10 of Year 3, and they had sent her to the vice principal’s office.
’So that was it.’
She said, bewildered, "Then what Li i told ..."
Qin Jiao’s eyes suddenly reddened. She sniffled and said, "Li i hinted to before... that if I slept with her, she’d make the vice class monitor. I refused, so she started to hate ..."
Du Liya was about seventy or eighty percent convinced. On top of that, this girl was her father’s neighbor. She imdiately softened her voice. "I’m so sorry. I didn’t have the full story. I was wrong to bla you."
’You’re so gullible. You’ll believe anything anyone tells you.’
Qin Jiao sniffled. "It’s not your fault. Li i is the one to bla. And to think I used to respect her so much as a teacher..."
Her final sigh seed to carry all the injustice she had suffered.
At this point, Du Liya was practically drowning in guilt. Qin Jiao, on the other hand, breathed a sigh of relief, deciding it was ti to retreat now that her mission was accomplished.
Just then, the door to the vice principal’s office was thrown open. Shen Yi stood in the doorway, his face an icy mask. He had clearly been running, as glistening beads of sweat dotted his pale forehead.
The three people in the room stared at him, stunned.
Shen Yi’s eyes first landed on Qin Jiao. He saw that her expression was calm and her hair wasn’t a ss. Most importantly, there were no suspicious red marks on her face. He let out a sigh of relief.
Next, his gaze fell upon his mother, Du Liya.
Shen Yi frowned. "Mom, what are you doing here?"
Du Liya was always imposing in front of others. Of course, she used to be that way with her son, too. But after his incident, his temper had beco increasingly strange, and frankly, she was now a little afraid of him.
Not to ntion that this whole affair had just been a misunderstanding.
’Of course, that Li i was the one who caused the misunderstanding in the first place!’
So Du Liya said, "Your forr head teacher called . She said you were in so kind of trouble, so I rushed right over."
