Everyone present was filled with various emotions.

Gong Tao tightly held Cai ina’s hand, "Honey, we can actually co to Beijing."

"We can actually co to Beijing through schooling."

"Wife, our days will get better and better."

As Gong Tao spoke, tears began to streaming down.

Gong Ruini watched Gong Tao start crying and was stunned for a while. She really couldn’t understand why Gong Tao would cry. After all, he had been to Beijing before, and how long had it been since his last visit? Now he’s been here twice, why is he crying?

Cai ina understood her husband’s feelings and reached out to wipe the tears off Gong Tao’s face, but no matter how much she wiped, the tears only flowed more.

In the end, Gong Tao held Cai ina tightly and burst into tears.

No way, Gong Ruini was dumbfounded. After all, their lives had been tough before, including when Zhao Qiang tricked their family into going to the Northeast to do hard labor, they hadn’t cried like this.

"Dad is rembering a lot. Dad once said he would definitely bring us back," Gong Ruwen said tearfully, explaining why Gong Tao was crying.

"Sister, you were young then, so you don’t rember," Gong Ruwen tried to wipe his tears.

Apart from an awkward smile, Gong Ruini couldn’t do much else. She really didn’t know much. "Um, our days will continue to get better."

"Right, our days will improve," Gong Tao cried for a while, feeling sowhat embarrassed. After all, he was a man, and crying like this, especially in front of the children, was really quite embarrassing.

"Alright, now that we’re in Beijing, let’s go eat sothing delicious," Zhao Gang, who had also been a bit emotional earlier, especially when influenced by Gong Tao, had a desire to cry but held back, thinking it was not the ti to shed tears.

Gong Tao was caught up in his emotions, crying and unaware of the reactions of the children, but Zhao Gang noticed.

"Yeah, we should treat the drivers to a good al," Hua Miaozhu was exhausted from the journey. If not for the good rest she’d had over the past few years in the Northeast, she might have collapsed.

"Let’s not take the children out to eat; they can just have sothing at ho," Hua Miaozhu looked at the weary faces of the children. "I’ll make so at porridge for them later."

If they went out for dinner, they wouldn’t know when they’d finish, and returning ho could an a late night. In the cold weather, the children mustn’t be exposed to the chilly wind.

Previously, Zhao Guangran might have caused a fuss, insisting on going out to eat, but now he seed subdued, like cabbage stored away for the winter.

The ringleader for eating out, Zhao Guangran, had completely given up, and the others surely wouldn’t make a fuss. So that’s how they happily reached a decision.

Gong Ruini yawned, contemplating what condition the place Zhao Gang rented was in, wondering if it was livable. Oh, it sounded like it had been tidied up.

But they had been ho for quite a while, so it must be terribly dirty now. Sigh, cleaning up the house was the first thing to do upon arrival, making Gong Ruini want to wail aloud.

The car swiftly pulled up at the gate, and Zhao Gang had just gotten out, ready to open the door, when the gate opened from the inside, shocking Zhao Gang.

"Why is there soone at ho?" Gong Tao, who jumped out of the car next, also felt a chill seeing this scene.

The house couldn’t have had any issues, right? Although there wasn’t anything stored inside, they had invested quite so effort in renovating it.

Most crucially, if the place was occupied, where would they find accommodation for the people, furniture, and herbs they brought along? Let alone finding a spot for the drivers to settle.

No, Gong Ruini was also at the car door waiting to unload things, seeing Zhao Gang’s stunned look as the gate opened.

"No way, soone took our house?" As Gong Ruini wondered aloud, Zhao Guangran’s voice popped up beside her.

"Who took our house?" The twins, upon hearing soone occupied their house, imdiately objected, "Let’s call the police."

Ge Yunkui opened the gate, and when he saw Zhao Gang, he swiftly swung it wide open, "You’re here."

Initially, Zhao Gang was eager to go to the village to demand an explanation, unsure why his house was given to soone else as soon as he rented it, but seeing it was Ge Yunkui left him staring blankly.

"Uncle Ge, how co?" Zhao Gang then rembered that they had left a key with Uncle Zhuge when heading ho, expecting he used it to co.

Zhao Gang was puzzled how Ge Yunkui knew they would return at this ti.

Ge Yunkui cast a special glance at the boys in the back, knowing the Zhan family had two twins intended to be his master’s apprentices, which interested him a lot. Even though he felt that with his master’s prestige, finding a student would attract many visitors, there was no need to choose such young children.

Ge Yunkui knew why his master favored these two unseen children; besides Zhan Jing saying that the two were intelligent, it was likely due to the promise given to the Zhan family’s master before.

Zhan Banxia was very unhappy with Ge Yunkui’s close scrutiny of him and his brother, but since his parents hadn’t spoken, he managed to control his dissatisfaction, just wrinkling his nose slightly without forgetting to push his younger brother behind him.

It was good that despite being scared, he rembered to protect his brother. What’s most important is that the child didn’t cry or fuss, probably because there were adults around.

"Uncle Ge," Zhan Jing was startled to see Ge Yunkui there too; she feared Uncle Zhuge intended to take Banxia and Zisu away.

Recently, Zhan Jing had prepared the children for studying with a teacher, telling them what to expect. Just when she finally got them to agree, they arrived in Beijing only to be taken away by Uncle Zhuge. She didn’t know if the two children would cry or make a fuss.

"The kids are doing well. Master said you could first recover for a few days, and we can discuss schooling afterward,"

"Also, soone has been regularly cleaning the house, so it’s very neat inside."

"But since we didn’t know you’d arrive today, there’s no food or drink prepared. However, there’s plenty of firewood and other supplies," Ge Yunkui saw that Zhan Jing had arrived and needed to report back to discuss with the master.

With the house cleaned, Gong Ruini felt relieved, knowing she could directly wipe off and rest. She certainly missed the warm kang bed, where she could roll around and have a beautiful sleep.

Seeing the children rubbing their eyes repeatedly, Zhao Gang waved his big hand, "Cai Ming, go light the kang so the children can rest first."

Though exhausted, Gong Ruini couldn’t just openly head to bed. Despite being a girl deserving protection by the boys, she was no longer a child.

Zhao Xuran nudged Gong Ruini, "Go sleep; you look tired."

This small, frail figure couldn’t handle much work; better not exhaust herself before tackling much.

Finally, Gong Ruini’s task was to take Zhan Banxia and Zhan Zisu for a nap.
