Gently pushing open the creaky door, Gong Ruini found it hard to even look straight ahead.

"It’s bad enough that the door isn’t painted, but can’t they at least oil it so it moves more smoothly?"

This shouldn’t cost much, so why are they being so stingy?

"We’re moving out anyway, they’ll pay for it," Zhao Guangran said disdainfully.

"Right, they won’t have pried things apart, will they?" Zhao Guangran said nervously.

If the Zhuge Family had badly damaged anything, the renovation costs would increase.

Gong Ruini also beca a bit anxious. Those people could do anything. Would they have?

Looking into their tense eyes, she said, "Do I look like soone who gets bullied?"

"Don’t worry, I only give them the final paynt after they’ve moved out."

"And after all, they’re people who still care about face," Cai Ming wasn’t worried about them doing such disgusting things. They probably want to maintain a good relationship with him, hoping he might help in the future. Would anyone do such a disgusting thing in this light?

Having soone watching eased Gong Ruini’s mind.

But as they walked further into the house, Gong Ruini was speechless, "They called us farrs, but look at this yard."

They even planted vegetables. Gong Ruini didn’t despise planting vegetables. In these tis when getting vegetables was tough, having a space to grow them was quite a good experience.

What annoyed Gong Ruini was that they used to scorn Zhuge Zhi’s family for planting vegetables.

"Shaless." Zhao Guangran was also quite angry. When those rumors spread, Gong Ruini and the others were indeed very nervous. That was sothing the children and Ge Yunkui’s couple discussed privately.

They didn’t expect things to blow up, "Should we have said sothing?" Gong Ruwen was also puffed up with anger.

Gong Ruini was angry, but what use was there in saying anything?

"Forget it, they’ve already fled. If we say sothing now, once the word spreads, it won’t matter to them, but we’ll be seen as petty." Zhao Xuran also felt disgusted, but no matter how disgusting it was, what could be done? They could only swallow it down.

"Are we just going to let it go?" Shaless people like that would be overjoyed if not dealt with; Zhao Guangran didn’t want to let them off.

"Of course not." Zhao Xuran couldn’t forget the mocking comnts from outside during those days, even suggesting that they should learn how to plant vegetables. Would they make such a suggestion if they weren’t looking to laugh at soone?

He knew his big brother had a plan, and Zhao Guangran eagerly awaited the results.

But Zhao Xuran had no clue, he wasn’t so kind of genius. "I’ll tell you when we get back."

He refused to believe he couldn’t find a way to deal with them. Zhao Xuran felt that if he just put his mind to it, he would co up with a solution. If he could communicate more with Ni Zi, he would probably complete the task faster.

Ah, saying they’d talk at ho only made him itch with anticipation. What should he do?

Zhao Guangran wouldn’t give up, clinging to Zhao Xuran, hoping to get an answer soon, but the latter didn’t entertain him at all.

Feeling helpless, Zhao Guangran sullenly followed behind to watch for results, "Wow, the yard is such a ss."

Zhao Guangran had seen ssy yards before, like Grandpa Zhuge’s yard. Back then, with few people living there, there was no way to manage it, and it looked quite desolate.

But here, there were many people living. How could it be like this? "When life is tough, why not plant so grapes or sothing?"

"This big yard going to waste," Cai Ming, though now living in Beijing and having married a wealthy wife, had grown up in poverty. Seeing such wastefulness truly pained him.

"Let’s plant more grapes by then."

"And apple trees, and pear trees."

"Uh, and persimmon trees."

Zhao Guangran had long started scheming. When he saw a big pond, he excitedly ran over.

Standing by the shore for a long ti, "Sigh, there’s no fish."

All he could say was that these people didn’t know how to manage a household, "Raising so fish could also add a dish."

"Who would the fish belong to?" As they walked along, Gong Ruini noticed that the vegetable planting seed to be done in little gardens by individual flower beds along the way.

As for the large flowerbeds outside, no one planted there. They were left barren.

Gong Ruini understood it was individual actions. The outer flowerbeds and ponds were left empty and unused, presumably to prevent others from benefiting.

Family mbers calculating against each other to such an extent, it’s no wonder the whole family living together could seem so down and out.

"We mustn’t be like that in the future." Gong Ruini worried that once everyone made money and lived in their own separate yards, they might feel distant.

This thought made Gong Ruini nervous. Having grown used to the daily lively activities and squabbles over little things, those days were really full of life.

The sudden inability to connect frequently anymore was truly unsettling.

"We could never be like that. Who are we?" With the little girl starting to think wildly again, Zhao Xuran held her hand, "We’re not the kind to have petty sches."

"Worried about others taking advantage, but in reality, you lose out yourself." Zhao Xuran recalled what his grandmother used to say about those old families eventually disappearing from history, not because of external factors but because they rotted from within.

Isn’t that the case? Everyone fights their own battles. It was said that just discussing Cai Ming’s offer was enough to have them arguing for quite so ti.

Fortunately, the final result was good, otherwise, they’d cry themselves to death.

"Alright, let’s divide the yards." Why talk about unhappy things, let’s focus on so happy matters.

Once again, everyone gathered at the main gate, and Cai Ming asked if everybody had decided which yard they wanted to live in.

Gong Ruini had made up her mind, "I want to live close to my big brother, parents, and little brother."

Isn’t that stating the obvious? Cai Ming gave Gong Ruini a sidelong glance, signaling her not to stir things up.

Gong Ruini felt wronged. Was she the type to cause trouble? She was just stating plain facts, but that made people feel like she didn’t say anything at all.

"I also want to live close to my big brother and parents." Zhao Guangran thought for a mont, "I want to stay away from the twins."

Even though his big brother’s words could be quite sharp and drive him crazy, he was still his big brother. But being bullied by the young ones was truly losing face.

"That’s unavoidable." Despite the little brother being adopted by Zhuge Zhi, Zhao Xuran still considered him his little brother.

Of course, he wanted all his family to continue living harmoniously. They weren’t fighting over petty things; they were all working hard to learn and make money.

Ah, really? What to do, living away from parents and brother, Zhao Guangran was unwilling, but sighed, "Brother, you have to teach Ban Xia and the others to respect ."

"Respect isn’t given; it’s earned by yourself." Zhao Xuran could certainly educate the two younger brothers to treat Zhao Guangran well, but what would be the point?

Earned by himself, Zhao Guangran would consider this concept deeply.
