Passing by my sister again, I listened in on what Gong Ruini and her group were talking about. Before, I thought what they said seed fine.

But the later part threw off, what was initially sweet talk turned into a discussion about children’s opportunities.

They’re so young, how can they talk about things so far-reaching? It made Gong Ruwen wonder how Zhao Xuran and Gong Ruini are when they’re alone.

Aren’t they too serious? Gong Ruwen always believed Zhao Xuran and Gong Ruini got along well, never expected this.

Gong Ruini, unaware that such a conversation would lead her brother to think so much, couldn’t correct his thoughts even if she found them bizarre.

At this mont, Gong Ruini changed the topic, "What? The temple fair has beco so interesting?"

Zhao Xuran heard the excitent in Gong Ruini’s voice and knew she was thrilled, "So co back early, Guangran and Cao Na have been several tis these days."

Zhao Xuran had been before, but watching the two of them holding hands up ahead made his heart feel uncomfortable, their displays of affection getting on his nerves.

Thus, he wanted Gong Ruini to hurry back so Zhao Guangran wouldn’t drive him crazy.

"Alright, we’ll head back in a few days, around the third or fourth day of the New Year," Gong Ruini said, indicating she didn’t want to waste more ti there.

Not only were there too many obnoxious relatives around, but there weren’t a lot of books either. Gong Ruini had finished reading the ones she brought, and there was just no suitable environnt for writing or drawing.

Though occasionally watching those obnoxious relatives was entertaining, seeing too much made her feel nauseated.

Luckily, she could still send ssages to Zhao Xuran; otherwise, she would be at her wit’s end.

The third or fourth day? It would be around the sixth or seventh day when they’d reach Beijing. Although Zhao Xuran thought that was a daring ti to co back, if he could choose, he wished he could see Ni Zi right away.

"I miss you, miss you," Zhao Xuran said honestly, voicing his true feelings, "When you get back, let’s take a stroll nearby."

"Oh right, I arranged for a small cabin at the hot springs; we can go soak when we have ti." Although construction isn’t possible in the dead of winter, a small cabin was doable.

Zhao Xuran still rembered how Gong Ruini ntioned how nice it was to soak in hot springs during winter. They didn’t have the resources before, but now they do, so there’s no way they’d miss this opportunity.

The idea of a hot spring cabin left Gong Ruini stunned. Wow, that was incredibly romantic.

The most important thing was that she had ntioned it before, just once, and Zhao Xuran rembered and followed through, which delighted her.

"You’re the best." A man who keeps your words in his heart is the one who loves you the most. If Zhao Xuran were here right now, Gong Ruini would definitely want to nibble him a bit as a sign of gratitude.

Zhao Xuran shared the sa regret; being in Beijing would be much better. Ni Zi would definitely run into his arms, but never mind, she’ll be happy when she returns to Beijing.

Reluctantly, Zhao Xuran finally hung up the call as others would probably start calling to exchange New Year’s greetings soon.

"Sis, what were you getting all excited about just now?" Gong Ruwen heard Gong Ruini ntion the temple fair becoming interesting and was looking forward to it.

Initially, the temple fair was well-organized; Gong Ruwen always attended, but over ti it beca monotonous, and he grew tired of it. If it weren’t a communal event, he wouldn’t have wanted to participate.

He didn’t expect it to have new programs, so naturally, Gong Ruwen was eager.

"Not telling you." Hmph, why should I? Even bigmouth Zhao Guangran, who’s been several tis, hasn’t spread the news, so there’s all the more reason not to say a word.

The nerve! My sister had changed, but what could he do? He could ask his old classmates, but since they wanted to surprise him, he might as well wait for the reveal.

Gong Jiaming didn’t discuss New Year’s money with Gong Zhuang, not out of generosity, but because there was nothing to argue about. Since their dad handled it and their mom backed him, there wasn’t much to do but comply.

Gong Zhuang secretly sighed; he didn’t want to dock this money, as it wasn’t much, but his wife insisted. Now he’s the scapegoat, and it’s driving him crazy.

Miao Cuihua pretended not to see her husband’s pleading look; he should take responsibility as a father, even if it ans taking the bla.

His wife’s glance told him to smile at her; Gong Zhuang obliged, "Later, I’ll leave it to you, Rui Wen." He’d take the bla if afterwards, his two naughty kids were under his brother’s care.

Gong Jiaming understood retrieving past money was difficult, but with his dad promising future New Year’s money would go to him, he was content.

Gong Jiaming was always easy to please, "Sis, what’s fun about the temple fair?"

"Hmm, definitely fun," Gong Ruini maintained her mystery.

Gong Ruwen looked at his big brother, hoping for a hint, but the latter just shrugged, indicating he was also in the dark.

Uh, even big brother doesn’t know. Gong Ruzhi gave up on asking—if even big brother couldn’t get info from their sister, with his lack of skills, he was better off not trying.

Gong Zhuang was also curious, but asking Gong Ruini would probably lead to a dead end. Observing his second brother’s pleased look, maybe he knew?

"Not telling you," Gong Tao definitely knew, but he thought the reveal would be around the middle of the first lunar month. Unexpectedly, it launched early.

Yet it made sense; now with TV, many preferred staying ho with family watching TV, snacking, and chatting, rather than braving the cold. This new attraction would surely draw more to the temple fair.

"You won’t regret it," Gong Tao asserted again confidently.

Seeing his father so composed, Gong Ruini was amazed. However, given the people her father knew, it wasn’t surprising.

With sothing so sizeable on display, so buzz was inevitable. Though it didn’t an much to her, having seen similar things in later years, it was a huge draw for those in this ti.

For instance, there was talk of a large amusent park being built in Beijing, stirring excitent. Even a big kid like Zhao Guangran was eagerly counting down, planning trips with Cao Na.

If it wasn’t so far from ho, Gong Ruini feared he would frequently check on the project’s progress.

Yet, Gong Ruini rembered this amusent project as a failed endeavor, which was a real pity. If successful, it wouldn’t initially lose money, and later stages could involve property sales or real estate developnt, which would be great.

Unfortunately, just the amusent park’s investnt made her sigh. Better to remain an outsider and eagerly anticipate the park’s opening.

Maybe the appearance of this ’butterfly’ could bring about many changes.
