Along with the unfamiliar ancient characters appeared a dense and overwhelming pain.

This intense impact ca and went quickly.

After the pain subsided, Gu Jin rembered only the six grand words "Ancient Heaven-defying Skill," dazzling in golden glory within her mind, an imnse power making one desire to submit, to bow in reverence.

With rit added to oneself, the Ancient Heaven-defying Skill can be inherited, allowing discernnt between good and evil.

Gu Jin slowly opened her eyes, and this passage flashed through her mind.

It sounded quite impressive.

Yet she felt utterly confused.

Feeling she was still under the suppression of the golden light, she sat cross-legged on the spot, receiving what was said to be the inheritance of the Ancient Heaven-defying Skill.

rit, as the na implies, requires doing good deeds to accumulate.

Because she had rit, this triggered the inheritance of the space, granting her the ability to discern good and evil.

Gu Jin opened her eyes, the golden light around her dissipating completely.

Her fine, delicate eyebrows furrowed slightly, still unsure of the advantages of the Ancient Skill, apart from judging a person’s morality, what else could it be used for?

It sounded impressive, but in reality, felt very dispensable.

Gu Jin stood up and surveyed the entire space, discovering that the grains she had planted earlier were ripe again.

Putting aside the Ancient Skill, she walked to the Spirit Field, looking at the ripened corn and wheat, wielding Spiritual Power to begin harvesting.

After planting new seeds post-harvest, Gu Jin thought for a mont, then retrieved the ginseng she had previously unearthed at Qingluan Mountain from her study and planted it in the Spirit Field.

Even though she knew Alchemy was sowhat distant from her, Gu Jin still wanted to try, as there were several elixirs in the Alchemy Recipes she was particularly interested in.

As for whether it would succeed or not, she wasn’t sure, but she would feel so regret if she didn’t try.

Looking at the ginseng, which was as long as a finger when planted, Gu Jin held a bit of expectation in her eyes, hoping for a surprising harvest the next ti she entered.

After taking one last look at the ginseng burrowed into the soil and verifying that there were no anomalies in the space, Gu Jin finally left the space, fearing to delay any longer as the little one outside might grow anxious.

Gu Jin swiftly exited the space, the imnse space still extrely quiet, with golden piles of ripened corn and wheat, as well as heaps of vegetables and fruits, on the vast clearing before the bamboo house.

When Gu Jin reappeared in the washroom, she didn’t hear any movent outside, so she washed her hands and walked out.

The little one stood by the window looking into the distance with a very thoughtful deanor, one couldn’t tell what he was thinking.

Seeing such deep thought in a child made Gu Jin chuckle and shake her head; she lightly tiptoed over, intending to surprise the little one, but unexpectedly, the child spoke up.

"Sister Ajin, it feels so good to stand up high."

Hearing these words, Gu Jin paused her actions, a hint of confusion in her eyes.

After An Mingji turned around, she saw this child just above her waist in height, with a desire for power shining in his eyes, a longing and ambition akin to resplendent starlight.

This couldn’t help but make Gu Jin’s heart feel complicated.

In this life, she had adopted An Mingji, intending to give him a peaceful life, yet didn’t expect he had an innate drive for pursuing power in his very bones.

Seeing the complexity in Gu Jin’s eyes, the light in An Mingji’s eyes changed back to clarity, and his face gradually returned to one of pure innocence.

He quickly walked to Gu Jin’s side, held her hand, and said with a genuine voice, "Sister Ajin, when we have money, let’s buy a building like this to live in, shall we?"

The words were a pursuit of material comfort, entirely lacking any ambition for power.

Gu Jin looked deeply at the child, reflecting in her heart, wondering if she had been mistaken earlier.

Seeing the child’s longing look, Gu Jin’s face softened with a tender expression, reaching out to stroke the little one’s head, smiling as she spoke: "Alright, when we get to Wanhai City, we’ll buy a building there for Xiao An."

"Sister Ajin is the best!" The little one leapt into her arms, acting spoiled.

This made Gu Jin’s heart soften imasurably.

As she glanced down once more at the little one in her arms, she happened to notice a faint Purple Qi emanating from him.
