Gu Jin, An Mingji, Gu Jiajie, Wu Zhiren, and Liu Pingyuan, five of them sat in the six-person sleeper compartnt. As the train clattered along its tracks, they each found their beds and placed their luggage.
Wu Zhiren, sitting on the lower bunk, sighed: "It’s so much better on a sleeper. The three of us couldn’t get seats when we ca, squatting by the train’s water faucet the whole way, jam-packed with people."
"Tell about it, the sll was absolutely unbearable, almost suffocated !"
Recalling the day they arrived in Shenzhen, Gu Jiajie looked disgusted.
