Gu Jiajie walked over to An Mingji, looking at the dense handwriting on the notebook that made him feel a headache.

Shifting his gaze, he continued to Gu Jin, "By the way, this Liang Xia is the man Chen Lili was previously engaged to. He brought the Chen Family to the village head’s place yesterday, so he knows what happened."

Gu Jin nodded, "Where is he?"

"Right outside the main door."

"I’ll go take a look." Gu Jin got up and left.

After taking two steps, she quickly stopped and turned back to remind the little cub, "Study well, I’ll be right back."

"Okay."

An Mingji nodded obediently.

Once Gu Jin left, his obedient expression quickly changed, becoming emotionless.

This scene made Gu Jiajie scoff, as he plopped down on the bed.

"I knew you, you little wolf cub, have a double face, no idea what Xiao Jin sees in you, treating you like the apple of her eye!"

An Mingji raised his eyelids, gave him a cold glance, and seeing his carefree deanor, lost the compliance he showed in front of Sister Jin. He knew that this guy, just like him, only put on an act in front of Sister Jin.

Both were cunning wolves, equally matched, just two of a kind.

Feeling no threat, An Mingji looked down and continued taking notes, but this ti, he couldn’t calm down at all.

The little cub’s gaze was caught by Gu Jiajie.

It was a guarded and cautious look, without any malice.

In fact, Gu Jiajie’s feelings towards An Mingji were quite complicated.

Although he was a troublemaker, usually idling around, he had never bullied the little cub.

Yet he never intervened when he often saw the little cub being bullied, most of the ti just observing.

While watching the little cub being bullied, a fierce glimr appeared in his eye, which he found quite interesting.

Such a small chick being bullied, showing hatred on the surface, with a vicious gleam in his eyes, was indeed amusing.

But he never imagined that such a tenacious little wolf cub wasn’t bullied to death, and had actually been brought ho by his cousin to raise.

Gu Jiajie stared at An Mingji in a daze, and the latter pretended not to notice.

Ti passed unconsciously, though it was just a few minutes, but Gu Jiajie couldn’t sit still.

He kicked An Mingji, but without strength, since he couldn’t really harm his cousin’s precious little cub.

An Mingji looked up, showing a puzzled glance.

Gu Jiajie approached with a sly smile, "Guess what Xiao Jin and that Liang Xia are talking about?"

An Mingji shook his head expressionlessly.

"Why don’t we go and take a look?"

As soon as Gu Jiajie brought up the topic, An Mingji showed his agreent through action.

He put down his pen, closed the notebook, and stood up to walk outside.

This series of actions left Gu Jiajie dumbfounded.

Reaching the door, finding no one following him, An Mingji turned back, slightly frowned, his tone a bit impatient: "Are you coming or not?"

"Coming!"

Gu Jiajie stood up and walked over in big strides.

He now highly suspected that this little wolf cub was simply waiting for him to speak up.

...

Outside the Gu Family’s main door.

Gu Jin saw Liang Xia, dressed in blue work clothes.

The latter first had a blank look in his eyes, then imdiately showed a apologetic expression on his face.

As Gu Jin approached him, Liang Xia spoke, "I learned about yesterday’s incident, I’m sorry."

Regarding Liang Xia’s apology, Gu Jin felt it was unnecessary, as the matters between the Gu and Chen families didn’t require Liang Xia’s apology at all.
