The whimpering sounded just like a puppy, clearly indicating hunger.
Thinking about Yu Shuo, still at the Haijiang Hotel, Gu Jin figured he had probably finished long ago, but the phone hadn’t rung yet.

Holding the phone, she went back to her room to charge it. When she ca out again, she saw the living room piled with stuff.
She asked the young man, who was also examining the piled items, "Kiddo, are you hungry?"

Gu Jin pursed her lips and walked toward the kitchen, "Wait, I’ll cook. Check if there’s anything in the living room you can use; if so, take it to your room. Organize whatever remains, and if you don’t know where to put sothing, wait for to sort it out later."

Watching her silhouette disappear into the kitchen, An Mingji changed into slippers and started organizing the things in the living room.

He categorized and arranged the living room items, putting a trash bag in the trash can by the sofa, placing tissues and foot mats in the bathroom, one desk lamp in each bedroom...
Once almost everything was organized, An Mingji held an apron in his hand, a strange look in his eyes, as he headed toward the kitchen.
In the kitchen, as soon as Gu Jin entered, she took out rice, flour, eggs, and various fruits and vegetables from the storage.
It was too late, so she kept the al straightforward.
The rice in the pot was already cooked, with the fragrance of the grains wafting through the air.
On the table was a plate of spicy sour shredded potatoes, still steaming. Just the color combination of potatoes with green and red peppers looked appetizing.
Gu Jin was still cooking, preparing the simplest scrambled eggs with tomatoes.
