Gu Jin reappeared, dragging Jiang Han into the parlor.
Both of them were soaking wet.
Looking out the parlor window, it was almost dawn outside.
It seed she had broken her promise.
She had previously promised to return Jiang Hanyi safe and sound to the Jiang Family before dawn.
Now, the day was about to break.
She casually tossed the person onto the carpet, walking toward the door while using Spiritual Power to dry her soaking wet loungewear.
By the ti she was standing at the doorway, Gu Jin’s clothes were completely dry.
She reached out to open the door.
The Jiang Family mbers, sitting, standing, or squatting outside, ca into view.
But what caught Gu Jin’s attention the most was An Mingji leaning against the wall diagonally opposite.
The young man exuded a lazy aura, and when he heard the door open, he looked up, revealing eyes slightly tinged with red, clearly having stayed up all night.
This made Gu Jin’s heart ache terribly.
"Miss Gu, how’s little Yi?"
The mont the door opened, Jiang’s father rushed over imdiately.
His eyes were bloodshot, his face haggard and worn.
Gu Jin stepped aside, speaking in a mild tone, "He’s fine now."
Before she could finish her sentence, Jiang’s father had already rushed into the room.
Following him were Jiang’s second uncle, the newly awake Jiang’s mother, Jiang’s little aunt, and the old master of the Jiang family, supported by others.
Outside the door, An Mingji, Qiu Qianghai, and Yu Shuo walked over.
"Sister Jin—"
"Master—"
Both An Mingji and Yu Shuo spoke at the sa ti.
Gu Jin reached out to hold An Mingji’s hand, her gaze turning towards Yu Shuo.
The child’s face was pale, looking worn out; he seed to have been worried outside for a long ti too.
"He’s fine, go inside and have a look."
"Okay!" Yu Shuo nodded emphatically, entering the parlor.
Qiu Qianghai ran a hand through his hair, his voice hoarse as he asked, "Do you want to find a room for you to sleep in?"
His complexion didn’t look good either; it had been a rough night for everyone.
Gu Jin lowered her eyes, asking the boy beside her, "Xiao An, should we go ho, or rest here?"
"Go ho."
An Mingji replied without hesitation.
"Alright, we’ll go ho in a bit."
Gu Jin looked up and declined gracefully, "No need to trouble you, Brother Hai, just find soone to take us ho later."
"I’ll arrange it now."
Gu Jin nodded and led the young man back into the parlor.
Inside, the Jiang family had already moved Jiang Hanyi from the carpet to the sofa and covered his bare body with a sheet from sowhere.
Rembering how he only had a pair of underwear on when leaving the space, Gu Jin felt a bit embarrassed.
The Jiang family must not think that she did anything to Jiang Hanyi.
Jiang’s father sat on the sofa holding his youngest son’s head, letting it rest on his lap. Seeing Gu Jin walk in, his already red eyes beca even redder.
His voice choked with sobs, earnest and grateful, "Thank you for saving his life, Lord Nine, the Jiang family will never forget!"
This thanks, Gu Jin did not acknowledge.
With a smile on her face, her gaze affectionately lingered on the young man beside her.
Following her gaze, it landed on An Mingji.
Jiang’s father continued, "Thank you, Young Master An, the Jiang family will rember your kindness forever."
Gu Jin accepted this without hesitation, "You’re welco, my Xiao An just has a kind heart."
She released An Mingji’s hand and approached the unconscious Jiang Hanyi on the sofa.
Under everyone’s gaze, she lifted Jiang Hanyi’s hand. With a slight touch of her fingertip to his fingertip, a bright red Blood Pearl appeared.
