Spring ca and autumn went, ti flew by swiftly.
Half a year later.
The border.
In the sweltering sumr, a vast village lay hidden among the lush woods.
A tense skirmish was about to unfold here.
Inside the vast village, everyone was ard, eyes vigilantly fixed on the bamboo house’s situation.
Inside the bamboo house, at the bamboo long table, two parties were in a standoff.
"Mr. Peng, we ca with sincerity, the money is here, so where’s my goods?"
The first to speak was a man in a Zhongshan suit, about in his thirties, a sharp murderous intent flashing across his brows and eyes.
Sitting opposite him was the owner of this vast village, Mr. Peng.
Behind him stood two n and one woman, all of whom exuded vigilance towards Boss Jia.
A girl wearing a scant amount of clothing, with a long scar on her face, looked at Boss Jia across from her, a deep aning passing through her eyes that only she understood.
Mr. Peng was a short man, not exactly ugly, but not particularly good-looking either.
He spoke with a smile: "Boss Jia, anyone who’s done business with knows what kind of person I am; I hold integrity in high regard in business."
Upon hearing this, a sharp glint flashed in Boss Jia’s eyes: "Are Mr. Peng’s current actions implying that I’m not a partner worth your sincerity?"
"No, no, no, that’s not what I an, it’s just that your background, Mr. Jia, is so deep. I haven’t been able to find out clearly even now. It seems like your identity is being hidden or protected by soone, making a bit uneasy."
As soon as Mr. Peng said this, the two n and the woman behind him imdiately pointed their weapons at Boss Jia.
The people Boss Jia brought with him weren’t to be trifled with either, they also aid their weapons at Mr. Peng.
As the principals, Boss Jia and Mr. Peng each wore a smile, their eyes locked in a standoff across the void of the long table.
"If Mr. Peng didn’t want to do this business, why bother bringing all the way here! You’re toying with ! Have you thought about the consequences?" Mr. Jia’s eyes revealed a mad, fierce murderous intent.
Mr. Peng seed amused, squinting his small eyes: "Boss Jia, we often walk by the river, it’s better to be cautious."
"Bang!" Boss Jia slapped the table hard, standing up abruptly. He snorted, "Hmph! If I’d known Mr. Peng was so timid, I wouldn’t have wasted my ti!"
"Let’s go!" he called for his people to leave.
"Hold on!" Mr. Peng spoke.
Boss Jia had just taken two steps when he stopped and turned back to face Mr. Peng, sneering: "What, does Mr. Peng want to keep for a al?"
Mr. Peng stood up, walking toward him with a smile: "Business cannot be rushed. Boss Jia, you have a big temper, I didn’t say we wouldn’t do this deal."
He waved to the people behind him: "Sang Dan, bring the n to move the goods."
"Yes, father!"
The girl nad Sang Dan, wearing scant clothing, leapt out of the bamboo house with a flip, leading the n below to move the goods. Her every move exuded flair, with a hint of wildness.
Even though there was a long scar on her face, her departing figure was truly alluring and enticing.
Boss Jia squinted his eyes, watching intently as Sang Dan left.
Following his gaze, Mr. Peng looked over, his eyes revealing understanding: "Boss Jia has an interest in my goddaughter?"
The latter stroked his chin, the colors in his eyes gradually changing into the desire every man understood.
He chuckled without saying anything.
