Beastn, pronounced ’Oke’.
So generally in Lann’s [Deep mory], the Interstellar Empire’s interstellar warriors would call this enemy of humanity Oke Orcs.
There are Okes here?!
Because he had encountered this enemy many tis in deep mory, as soon as he heard the word, Lann automatically entered a tense and focused combat state.
Until Gandalf walked past him, poking the warg’s jaw, which couldn’t close, with the end of his magic staff.
"Yes, Oke. Filthy and evil life."
Oke, not Orc...
Lann’s tense concentration slightly relaxed, it sounded just like the pronunciation.
Moreover, in the mories, those Oke Orcs were more inclined to use a creature nad ’Brother Shigu’ as beast of burden, without this warg thing.
"It’s the warg vanguards!"
Leading the dwarves is Sorlin Oak Shield, the very charismatic and tall dwarf, he seed very familiar with wargs and beastn.
He glanced at the warg corpse dragged over by Lann for execution from a distance and recognized its identity.
"Alert! Having warg vanguards ans the beastn’s troops are not far from us!"
He shouted, simultaneously calling his people to be on guard.
Radagast followed behind Gandalf, it was obvious that normally Gandalf dominates and makes decisions.
While the gray-robed wizard aggressively rushed up to Sorlin Oak Shield.
He looked down at this imposing dwarf.
"You leaked the news of our whereabouts! Apart from your kin, who else have you told about our plan?!"
Gandalf’s tone was nearly accusatory.
But Sorlin looked at him boldly and defiantly.
"I haven’t told anyone!"
"Who have you told?!"
"I haven’t told anyone, I swear! If I’m lying, may my beard fall off completely!"
Their voices grew louder and louder.
This behavior, aside from using tone to strengthen credibility, was also releasing their slightly tense feelings at the mont.
Gandalf, being a wizard and a wise one, cald down before Sorlin.
His tone beca gentle: "We’ve been ambushed by beastn! We have to break out!"
At this point, rather than continue arguing, it was better to face reality and take action.
The dwarves expressed no objections.
But outside the crowd, Lann was a bit surprised, looking at the conspicuous pointed hat wizard among the crowd.
His keen perception made him feel that Gandalf at the mont... seed a bit guilty?
"Beastn? Ambush?!"
The only hobbit in the crowd, Bilbo stamred, clearly just surviving under the troll and now encountering beastn troops, this was unimaginable for him, a hobbit who lived peacefully in the Shire for the first half of his life.
"Break out? You must be joking Gandalf! Our horses were driven scattered by the trolls, yet they aren’t back together! How are we going to break out?!"
"Moreover, did you just see it? This thing jumps tens of ters far! Even if those ponies return, they can’t possibly outrun them, they can’t outrun!"
Due to the fear in his heart, even the gentle hobbit’s tone sounded a bit fierce.
Then when everyone was feeling hopeless about the situation, Radagast stood up and spoke.
"I will lead the enemy away."
At this mont, he handed over that short sword from the Netherworld, suddenly feeling a light in his heart.
His task had been handed over to Gandalf, so his own pressure was considerably reduced.
Gandalf waved his hand.
"They are Gondarba wargs! Swift as the wind, ferocious and resilient!"
"I’m the Rossga Castle mad rabbit! Who’s afraid of whom?"
Gandalf looked at Radagast, then around at the dwarves.
"I will go with Radagast."
Originally standing outside the crowd, Lann raised his hand and spoke.
So everyone except Radagast looked at him.
"Don’t look at , Gandalf. You paused on for a mont while looking around just now, weren’t you waiting for to say this?"
Lann smirked mischievously, Gandalf awkwardly took a puff of his pipe to conceal his embarrassnt.
Yet the old man was thick-skinned enough, just a puff of the pipe and his face showed gratitude and a silent smile.
And he gently tilted his pointed hat’s brim slightly towards Lann.
-----------------
The Dark Forest is a long strip-shaped forest stretching from north to south, and the Mist Mountains to the west are also a long strip-shaped mountain range stretching from north to south.
Further west, the terrain, is hills and plains.
The crust changes of the Mist Mountains extend far.
So this hill undulates, where flat ground suddenly produces large chunks of rocks.
Scattered small forests grow on the hills, with more parts consisting of grassland.
Typical mountainous terrain, both magnificent and breathtaking.
Lann was still, since coming to this world, admiring the scenery of this world for the first ti without being in a special environnt.
This made him feel good... if only the pile of disgusting things behind him could disappear, it would be even better!
"Woo~"
A howling sound louder and more terrible than ordinary wolf cries echoed behind Lann and Radagast.
It was a pack of Wargs, and besides them, the riders on their backs were calling out madly and restlessly.
"Whoa!"
"Catch up! Kill them all! Kill them all!!"
Orcs.
Those "filthy and evil race" as Gandalf described appeared in Lann’s sight.
It’s hard to describe their appearance, for it was hideously varied.
Most had corpse-like blue-grey skin, human-like limbs, and head structures.
But beyond these general features, each individual had varying degrees of deformity and growths.
So had irregular growths on their faces, blocking their eyes and displacing their noses. Others had mismatched finger bones, needing to tie knives to their forearms with leather straps as they couldn’t grip properly.
Others had hunched backs, twisted bodies, and who knows what their spines have contorted into within their bodies.
Their entire presence was strange; these deformities were not from injury but were their natural form.
Just one glance was enough for Lann to understand that Gandalf’s description was not biased.
Lann had seen many things, many people.
He had t a red-robed old lady in Yan’an, hardly human in form, yet she still wanted to help others.
He had t a fanatic god-like being in Ancient Greece, who enjoyed stitching animal limbs onto living bodies.
Appearance never deterred Lann from judging one’s nature.
This was how he sumd up experience before.
But in this world, in this special world... appearance seed to be a way to distinguish evil from good.
Their twisted, overgrown bodies should have made even mundane life painful and inconvenient for the Orcs.
Yet, in those warped bodies, Lann saw not a hint of ’the desire to survive’.
Hatred, bloodlust, envy of other races, a desire to spread their suffering...
The minds beneath their shells were simple and chilling to comprehend.
"Co at ! You idiots!"
Radagast shouted while urging the leading rabbit on.
His rabbit sled weaved through the raised rocks on the adow, the large rabbits agilely making sharp turns causing the charging Wargs to skid and lose speed.
A large number of Warg Riders, under Radagast’s lead, were running off into the distance.
Lann sat on the back of a Qilin, clutching the pale mane.
His eyes subtly glanced in another direction, and saw a tall figure in a pointed hat, leading a line of short figures stealthily forward over the hills.
Lann clicked his tongue.
Gandalf was leading them on the wrong path.
If they wanted to hide their tracks, they shouldn’t be moving across terrain with only occasional large rocks for cover.
Moreover, this path overlapped with Radagast’s, bringing them closer to the Warg Riders.
"Whoosh!"
A subtle sound of sothing tearing through the air approached Lann.
Followed by the chaotic sound of giant Warg paws trampling the adow.
The Demon Hunter didn’t even turn his head, just reached out a hand in mid-air before his chest.
The sharp whistling noise stopped abruptly.
All that remained was the brief sound of a wooden arrow shaft rubbing against the palm of a leather glove.
A flick of the wrist, like playing darts in a tavern.
Several tons of force gathered on the arrow, sending it back the way it ca.
The Warg rider hadn’t even had ti to lower his bow before it seed like a punch from nowhere hit him, sending his entire body flying off the back of the Warg.
The Qilin, carrying Lann and Rong Buqiu, was now standing atop a large protruding rock.
The Ancient Dragon’s ruby-like eyes gazed, unperturbed, at the bloodthirsty wolf mouth lunging toward the rock.
"Huff~"
It exhaled softly, then gracefully tapped the ground with its hooves.
Its body leapt lightly and nimbly downward.
Just parallel in midair with the lunging Warg.
The fierce Warg tried to snap at its side, but...
"Bang!"
"Awoo~"
A powerful hand suddenly extended from the Qilin as it passed the Warg midair, gripping the beast’s jaw!
The Warg felt as if caught in a steel clamp!
It wasn’t over.
The downward force of the Qilin and Lann was obviously much greater than the upward lunge of the Warg.
Midair, the charging Warg was forcibly pressed downward midway!
A crunch of bones fracturing was heard.
Lann, with one hand pressing the Warg’s jaw, smoothly placed his hand against the large rock after landing.
A spattering of blood sprayed from the Warg’s head.
Its massive, ferocious body twitched and spasd on the ground, its claws and fangs still sharp and strong, tearing up the adow to reveal roots and soil.
Yet, it was indeed dead.
