Ever since the Emperor of humankind completed the frawork for the interstellar warriors’ surgeries, in a massive Interstellar Empire with trillions of humans.
No one for thousands or even tens of thousands of years has been qualified to criticize or modify this surgical process.
Even if there are many ignorant people attempting to improve it, the end result is often a bunch of deford monsters.
Or they enhance one aspect only to introduce more weaknesses and defects, making the warriors not worthwhile at all.
Belisarius Kao is the only one in this ten thousand years of history who has improved the enhancent surgery process for interstellar warriors, and whose improved process was recognized and widely adopted by the Empire.

For a fully-ford Primaris Space Marine, typically within a few years after surgery, the rapid regeneration ability of the [Belisarius Furnace] supports them to the extent that their outer skin is tough enough to withstand their own surging strength.
The skin is constantly damaged during bodily movents, then rapidly regenerates, eventually forming a callus-like damage-resistant structure.

The Belisarius Furnace needed to be connected between the two hearts, where the nutrients carried by the blood circulating through the cardiovascular system would be absorbed by the super organ as materials and energy for synthesizing that unique compound.
Operating on the cardiovascular system was sothing Lann had already done in his first surgery.
So although the process was still excruciatingly painful and perilous, he still completed it thodically.
Once the fleshy mass was connected between the two hearts in the chest cavity, the massive opening exposing the ribbed bone plates on Lann’s chest began to heal at a visibly rapid pace.
No Magic Potions, purely self-healing power.
As the opening quickly healed, the surgical field of view shrank, and Lann had to hastily conclude the surgical process, not even having ti to rearrange his thoracic blood vessels neatly.
Although blood vessels and intestines tend to automatically return to their proper positions during physiological activity as long as they are not severely displaced,
Lann still felt sowhat discomforted by not perfectly concluding the surgery.
After the Belisarius Furnace started working, Lann experintally drank the Advanced Swallow.
