Vermillions POV
Vermillion watched Alya fight the rabbit, he had to admit, the beast was stronger than expected but then again Alya’s vessel was more of a support type than combat.
Then he turned his attention to the ground. Disgust rose inside him, accompanying it was a deep pit of rage that almost clouded his mind.
There was nothing he hated more than seeing beasts acting like humans, pretending to be civilised.
So when that frog talked to him, he felt the urge to burn it into charcoal but what broke the cal’s back was the poor imitation of civilization standing below him.
The farms, the giant makeshift sheds and the ground holes with doors, all of it disgusted him.
Beast should be savage, unruly and murderous. That is who they are, they were supposed to attack him first not talk to him.
’ I hate it I hate it I hate it, destroy, destroy destroy destroy.’ his thoughts beca hysterical.
His eyes saw red, a deep urge he had tried to hide, a part of him he had tried to bury unveiled itself.
A deranged smile appeared on his face, madness clouded his eyes. He raised his hand above him and a small ball of fire appeared on his palm.
The ball of fire grew and in a few monts it was already 5 tres large in diater. Then he threw it, it dropped to the settlent below like a falling sun.
The frog and the giant hippo moved to intercept it. He scoffed, ’ How dare such weaklings try to oppose ?’
The frog delivered a palm strike at the ball of fire and waves spread out from the hippo to form a do around the entire settlent. While their attacks failed to stop the attack they managed to chip it down.
Then the ball of fire exploded. Flas spread out, burning and disintegrating everything on their path.
The entire settlent was drowned by the flas. Vermillion laughed hysterically. " That what you get, how dare you pretend to be civilised."
Then he heard a loud squeaky scream to his left. He turned his head slowly and the rabbit was roaring at him with red eyes, tears stread down it eyes like rivers.
He smiled at it. " Yes yes, that it, scream, rage, SHOW YOUR SAVAGERY. HAHAHAHA."
He laughed maniacally, he could feel his true self slipping through, revealing itself to the world, more and more of it started showing.
The rabbit lunged at him. It body completely covered in lightning, like armour. It threw a giant sword made of earth at him.
Vermillion just raised his hand and grabbed the giant sword. His fire burnt it and in only a few monts the sword had lted into lava.
The rabbit seed to grow even more enraged. It threw the shield which ca flying at him like a spinning disk.
Vermillion just grinned, this was it, this was what he wanted to see. ’ That it, rage, show your true self you rabid beast.’
The rabbit lunged at him, he flicked his finger and a tiny fireball hit it on the chest and sent it flying to the flas burning on the ground below.
However, space suddenly distorted next to him. The frog appeared to his right and imdiately attacked with a palm.
He t it with a palm of his own which sent it flying back. There were burnt marks all over it body and rage filled it eyes.
’ You will pay for this human scum.’ Scum, that word echoed in his mind over and over again.
" A beast just called scum." Then he covered his face with his hand and started laughing maniacally.
" Did you hear that my dear Alya? This lowly beast just called scum. , the great lord of fire, being called scum by a re FROG."
He turned his attention towards Alya and saw a hint of fear and apprehension towards him in her eyes.
He clicked his tongue, he had revealed too much. Then his face changed and beca expressionless, his eyes beca colder than ice.
" It wasn’t in your best interest to insult beast." He felt disgusted just talking to it. It felt wrong and unnatural, like sohow he was acknowledging beasts as uquals to humans.
A red fan with paintings of fire and phoenixes appeared on his hand. For the first ti in this fight he was going to use his vessel.
The temperature suddenly rose, the clouds above turned red. Then he waved his fan and fire spread out towards the frog.
It teleported again and appeared hundreds of tres away. Vermillion attacked again and again but it dodged all of his attacks.
He clicked his tongue in annoyance so he waved his fan again. This ti the flas spread out all around him and covered over 30 kilotres like a giant red cloud.
The frog appeared within the fla cloud and he heard it screams of agony. Within the cloud, the flas turned into fiery chains and bound the frog.
Space bent around it but the flas burnt the air disrupting it teleportation. He casually waved his fan to finish the frog off but the chains suddenly broke.
The hippo below was shooting invisible attacks at the chains which freed the frog. Vermillion was enraged that another pest dared to stand against him.
The frog teleported and appeared next to the hippo. The two of them faced him together. He waved his fan and the cloud of fire stirred.
It transford into thousand upon thousands of birds. Then the birds dropped on the beasts below like falling teors.
He expected them to try to dodge which was useless since the birds would chase after them, but instead the frog clasped it four fingered hands together like a prayer.
Then opened them, between the hands was a tiny black purple dot, the dot grew rapidly to the size of a tennis ball.
Then the frog threw it, the black purple ball flew up to et the birds. It bent the space around it which effected his perception, making it look like it was moving slow.
However it was very fast, in only a mont it was already amidst the bird. Then it exploded and space seed to bend and twist around it.
The ball beca a tiny dot again but this ti it emitted a black light which stretched for for 40 kilotres in every direction like a wave.
Purple light appeared around the frog and covered the entire settlent. Vermillion was confused for a mont but only for a mont because he felt the effect a mont later.
Everything within this black light was suddenly pulled towards the dot, the trees and rocks on the ground.
The water, the air and most of all, the birds. Each and every bird of fire was pulled towards this dot, sucked in and disappeared.
The only ones safe were those covered by the purple light. Even Vermillion himself felt his body being pulled, he flapped the giant wings of fire behind him to resist the pull.
His will surged to resist and push back this attack. He saw Alya struggle but fortunately for her she also had so control over gravity.
The attack lasted only a few seconds but it had caused massive destruction. It left a giant crater around the entire settlent.
His own attack had completely disappeared and Alya’s breath was heavy, her chest was heaving, resisting that attack took a lot from her it seed.
The frog fell on one knee with a heavng chest, the gold on it skin lost it luster. Vermillion could sense it was out of essence.
His expression was cold, he no longer felt anger or hatred towards it, only indifference. He closed his fan and pointed it end at the frog.
A ball of fire appeared infront of the fan. More and more flas poured into the ball but it did not grow in size, it was still the size of a golf ball.
This was one of his strongest attacks, he called it the Red Ray, nad after his nickna the Red Prince, it was a single target attack that fired a small beam of condensed fire at the target.
He looked at the beasts below him, he saw their fear, so were crying over the death of their own and he felt no remorse, only disgust.
He was just about to fire the red ray when he heard a deafening roar then the world turned purple to his eyes.
