Ved attacked first. He lunged at a man standing on his left. The man barely reacted. A long black spear appeared in his hands.
He placed it across his chest blocking Ved’s claws. A sound of clashing tal echoed and the man was sent flying.
He hit the blue barrier wall and fell on one knee, using his spear to hold himself up. He coughed up a mouthful of blood.
The others reacted a mont later, they each used their vessels to attack. A woman with a thorny whip that reeked of blood was the first to attack, a strong sll of iron attacked Ved’s nose
Her blood red whip danced through the air like a snake lunging at Ved. Although the woman obviously has a weak body compared to him and her whip vessel was rely sky grade, it gave Ved a very bad feeling.
He didn’t want to be caught by it. He jumped to the side dodging the whip then flew at her. Mid flight he conjured a massive white sword.
The swore swung through the air, aiming straight for her neck. It was moving too fast, it turned into a white blur that whistled as it cut through the air.
The woman panicked but before the sword could reach her, a giant man with a massive triangular shield appeared and blocked it.
The man’s legs buckled under the pressure but he did not budge. A shockwave blasted out from the collision.
Ved jumped back and dodged an arrow that flew at him like a streak of light. All of this happened in a split second.
During this ti he had been watching Vermilion, he was the biggest threat here. However Vermilion didn’t attack, he just looked at Ved with a mocking grin and retreated to the edge of the barrier.
The other 5 surrounded him, the last of the five was a man with a pitch black staff. Ved felt a disgusting aura from the staff.
However he wasn’t worried about them, he kept his attention on Vermilion. He had to end this fight quickly and try his best to inflict as much damage to the Red Prince as possible.
The spikes on his back glowed, the five humans tensed up, they knew sothing was coming.
Blue energy moved from the spikes and covered his entire body in a mont. Before any of them could react, a wave of nuclear energy spread out with him as the centre.
They jumped back to dodge, the shield guy stood his ground and blocked the energy wave but it was so powerful it forced him back hundreds of tres.
His shield couldn’t block all of the heat so burnt marks appeared all over his body. Red energy glowed over his entire body healing his wounds.
All of them attacked him at once. He created hundreds of weapons to clash with a rain of arrows.
Used strings to bind the whip, created a sword to et the spear and made a massive hamr to attack the man with a shield.
Before any of them could register the barrage of attacks, lightning flickered across his body.
Lightning bolt shot at them like spears. The temperature rose, they barely managed to dodge them.
Then the ground cracked beneath his feet as he lunged at the giant man with a shield. At the sa ti, his other two avatars still roaming the world disappeared.
The two hearts rged in this body increasing it power by three tis across the board.
His speed suddenly shot up catching them off guard. The man barely managed to raise his shield before Ved attacked him.
His fist as large as the man’s entire body cut through the air flying at him like a massive black wall of scales.
He punched the shield, a sound like a bell spread out, followed by a massive shockwave that ripped the earth apart creating a massive crater.
The man’s arms broke, the veins in his arms and legs busted sending black blood that slled of rot through the air.
The man shot back like a cannon. Before the others could react he was already Infront of the whip woman.
She panicked and attacked. Her whip wrapped around his arm, however it thorns failed to pierce through his scales.
He yanked her and slamd her on the ground. The ground shook and cracks spread all the way to barrier walls.
She bounced off the ground like a ball and coughed up blood. Ved followed with another attack, his claws cut towards her like spears.
It was impossible for her to dodge in this situation, she scread in fear but before his claws could pierce her, an arrow exploded on his back.
A wave of fire and lightning engulfed him and spread out in every direction, he was sent flying through the air for hundreds of tres.
He spun mid air and landed on his feet then turned and glared at the woman wielding a bow. Flas were still dancing around her, another fire and lightning arrow appeared and she drew her bow.
The woman was different from the others, she glared at Ved with rage and hatred. Ved got the impression this was personal for her but he didn’t have any recollection of her.
So he had no idea why she would hate him but it didn’t matter, she had made him her enemy and he would treat her as such. He was trying his best to keep himself sane but his mind was slowly slipping away.
No, he was wrong. Ved realized it wasn’t his mind that slipping away but sothing else, sothing deeper.
’ Restraint.’ he thought,he realised he was feeling less resistance towards killing these people, the idea of killing humans felt less uncomfortable to him.
Not because he was angry but because he found it easier to rationalize that action. His mind told him they were rely lowly lifeforms that should grovel beneath his claws.
Does a tiger feel guilty about killing rabbits? Ved doubted it because to a tiger, rabbits were nothing but food, so what were humans to a dragon?
Nothing but pests, insects to be squished under his foot. As his mind worked like gears, he grew calr. He could now clearly feel the changes inside him.
They were not physical but ntal. He could feel his bottleneck loosening up slowly. The less he tied himself to the human part of himself and the moral values he once held, the more loose the bottleneck beca.
’ I see, I suppose I hadn’t accepted what I am, that ends. This is my true awakening’ his thoughts beca calr. His beastly eyes turned towards them and he glared at them with indifference.
The thought of killing them felt minor now, like that was nothing more than a re inconvenience.
