Ved 1 felt his will surge as he rged with Ved 4. With his will doubling in strength he was able to crush the hex placed on him.

It was not easy, even with his will two tis stronger it still took effort to remove the hex, a testant of it power.

Two weeks later he was finally able to see, although still partially blind. His hearing was barely working as well and he was still numb.

He stabbed himself with his claws to see if he can feel pain, he couldn’t. He looked around and found himself in so cave like structure.

" You’re awake, good." He heard a sweet voice then caught a faint scent in the air. His impended hearing made it hard for him to tell what it was.

He turned and saw Naledi, still as beautiful as ever, infact she looked even more beautiful now.

However when he saw what she was doing he froze, he felt like his heart had been grabbed by a cold hand.

’ Shit.’ he cursed, Naledi was cooking. " Good thing I’m almost done preparing dinner.

You should have so to bring back your energy." Ved felt cold however he forced himself to smile.

Naledi gave him a huge piece of roasted at. She had burnt it so much he couldn’t even tell which animal it was from.

He gobbled it down as fast as he could. Then he turned to look at her. She smiled at him sweetly but he can see the sadness behind that smile.

" Thank you, for bringing back." She whispered. Ved looked at her gently. " I’m just glad you’re okay."

She leaned against his massive body. " However you can’t stay, not by my side." His expression changed.

" Why?" She raised her head and her eyes t his. A hint of sadness appeared in them, imdiately the temperature inside the cave grew colder.

Ice appeared on the ground and walls. She closed her eyes and the ice slowly receded. Ved knew why she didn’t want him to stay.

" I’m not going to leave Naledi, not again." She looked at him with a sad smile. " It’s inevitable Ved, it’s my fate."

Ved felt anger rise inside him. " TO HELL WITH FARE." He roared. She sighed and stood up. " Again, thank you, I hope you live a good life my love, I really do."

" Huh?" Before he could react he found him trapped in an ice cage. " Naledi what the hell are doing? Let out."

" I’m sorry but I can’t let you die, I can’t lose you again." Ved growled. " What do you call this? If you leave, I’m losing you."

Tears started streaming down her eyes. " You have people who depend on you, you’re their king, they can’t afford to lose you.

And I’m not going to be the one to take their pillar of strength from them." Ved closed his eyes. " And I can’t afford to lose you, I’ll leave everything, we’ll disappear together."

She shook her head. " I don’t doubt for a mont that an that, which is why I must leave."

" Naledi plea..." She disappeared into a cloud of snow and teleported away. Ved summoned his other avatars.

He was now at full strength, the hex was crushed like it was nothing. He punched the ice cage creating a crack but it still didn’t break.

He punched again, causing the entire mountain to shake, rocks fell off the cave roof and the cage shattered. He flew out and took to the sky. His four avatars split up and flew in opposite directions.

They flew for thousands of kilotres and didn’t see her. Eventually they ca back and rged together.

Ved roared with rage, he was angry at nobody in particular. Perhaps the world or fate itself, or perhaps at his own weakness he didn’t know.

However his roar was so powerful the sky shook, it was hundreds of thousands of kilotres away.

Sabrina and Nicholas heard it, they looked up. " The dragon sound pissed." Sabrina whispered.

Naledi heard the roar as well. Tears stread down her eyes. " I’m sorry, I’m so sorry" She whispered softly into the snowstorm around her with a muffled voice.

Her moniker kept whispering at her, reminding her of her fate. Telling her she will lose everybody she cares for that is her fate.

Naledi steeled her heart. She wiped away her tears and her grew cold and determined. If those she cared about were bound to die, they she would stop caring.

For sobody like her, to stop caring about others was impossible to do without any outside interference, she couldn’t just stop.

A snowflake condensed on her hand. The snowflake had a massive amount of energy and will in it.

She then placed it on her forehead. As soon as it touched her, her eyes grew vacant. Extre intelligence could be seen through them but there were no emotions.

She looked like a biological robot. The snowflake sat on her forehead like a marker, it made her look more beautiful in a way.

A snowstorm brewed around her, however this was not like the winter of sorrows. This was purely because she stopped suppressing herself.

In only a few seconds it had spread for a few hundred kilotres then it stopped spreading and only grew heavier.

She looked around and started walking.

At the sa ti, back in the new city. Haruko sat in the ice room watching Ndu’s coffin.

The vines surrounding it released a gently green light that seeped into his body. His body had completely regenerated but there was no brain activity.

Even for Cathra, reactivating brain activity was no easy feat. Not to ntion they had noticed sothing was preventing her from healing him.

So force was trying to kill Ndu, nobody could explain what it was. They had tried everything and even consulted Aira’s sister the librarian.

But even she, the keeper of knowledge didn’t know. To be specific she was too weak to access knowledge of that level.

And she was a projection realm expert, if it was beyond her then it must at the very least be at the level of a law.

They were all helpless, Naledi who was the strongest of them had disappeared, she might’ve been able to think of sothing and she was gone.

Haruko was furious at her for that, for abandoning them at this ti. Suddenly while brooding he felt movents inside the coffin.

" Ndu?" He whispered with confusion.
