" Naledi, I don’t think we’re the wolf here, she is." He pointed at the sleeping girl. Naledi listened attentively.
" Why do you say that?" She asked. " Because, we were never ant to be in the story.
Think about it, in the rhy, the target of red riding hood is the wolf but this isn’t our nightmare so we can’t be the targets."
She nodded, " Okay but in the rhy, the wolf is the one who helps and lead Red riding hood to her grandma’s house."
" Yes but our presence here changed the story a bit, which ans there is a chance the wolf can be saved."
----------------------------------------------------------
While the two of them were talking, in another part of the dark forest.
Red riding hood leaned on the massive body of the wolf, her body kept trying to break down.
Everyti she would repair it over and over again. Her face was scowling from the pain, " Damn divine fla."
Her voice ca out hoarse, it was hard to tell whether it was that of a man or woman. " I swear upon my great lord of nightmares I will make those two pay.
I will haunt their dreams and their every waking mont." She cursed to herself with only the wolf to listen to her.
However when one looked closer they would realise the wolf too was wounded, it teeth fell off and grew back again.
That was because the wolf and Red riding hood were the sa being. They were both the form assud by the herald in this nightmare.
" If only I could use my true power, I would’ve crushed them like bugs that they are." The herald was really pissed.
In it long life, it had never once suffered such a setback from a nightmare of such a weak being.
It knew it was just unlucky that a dream walker chose to interfere. Those types had always been difficult to deal with.
With others it was easier, it always had sole control over the dream but with a walker here, that was no longer the case.
Luckily the walker was also weakened, that was the great thing about the power granted by it lord.
The abilities could only be determined by the characters the nightmare is based on. It character was based on the main character and also villain of this story.
Based on the mories it used to construct this nightmare, there should only be two characters in the story.
The foolish wolf too kind for it own good and the girl hiding an ancient being in her heart. aning those two are extras.
As such they shouldn’t possess any abilities and be rely normal humans and they technically are.
However there are things that can bypass the rules of the nightmare. One being the power to control dreams.
Anybody with the power to control or manipulate dreams can effect the nightmare, the second being martial intent.
Simply because martial arts cannot be taken away as long as it remains in ones mories and taking their mories was not easy.
The most dangerous was a divine fla, divine flas were out of it control, they could bypass any and all rules of the nightmare.
Like in this case, Red riding hood was ant to be immortal or rather the creature hidden inside her was.
It shouldn’t be killed by mortal ans, while a dagger made of dream energy can certainly hurt dreams.
By the rules of the nightmare the herald constructed, it shouldn’t be enough to kill red riding hood.
However divine flas were different, they were able to even hurt laws themselves. It looked around and realised it didn’t have much ti in this nightmare.
Because it was crumbling, cracks only it could see ran across the entire forest. It had to kill the drear fast or it would lose it chance.
Not to ntion, it was only about 2 hours away from sunrise in the outside world, when the sun rises, the nightmare will end.
----------------------------------------------------------
( 1:46:32) He looked at the new tir, it was showing him the ti they had left in this nightmare.
When he told Naledi, she was not very ecstatic. An hour in the real world was a very long in this nightmare.
However Ved felt different, it was faint but he could feel the ti flow in this nightmare. He had no idea why now.
But he still appreciated it, if he was correct then the ti flow was not too different now, they wouldn’t have to spend centuries here or even eons.
He took the sleeping girl, he didn’t wake her up or she might recite the last part and probably kill them all.
Not to ntion she was absolutely useless in a fight, detrintal even. They started walking in a random direction.
It was a gamble but they had to move and perhaps she will lose track of them, both knew it was just wishful thinking but hope was all they had.
They just had to last until sunrise and everything would be fine, they would’ve saved the first target of the herald of nightmares.
He checked the tir. ( 1:36:00) He sighed, it felt like they’ve been walking for hours but it had only been a few minutes.
At the very least it didn’t feel like decades as it would’ve had if this new change he couldn’t explain didn’t happen.
" Stop." Naledi whispered. Blue flas ignited on her eyes. " She’s nearby." She said.
Ved could also feel the chill down his spine as if a ghost just went through him. The temperature dropped.
They stood back to back with daggers in hand. He held the dagger with the healthy hand and grabbed the girl with the wounded one.
" Co out, let end this right now, not like you have a lot of ti left." They suddenly heard a giggle.
However they could hear the rage beneath it, Red riding hood appeared with her wolf in tow.
She looked terrible, half of her face had dissolved and she had lost an arm. " It seems you did more damage than we expected."
He told Naledi with a grin. Unexpectedly Red riding hood grinned with her terrifying teeth at them.
" It seems I’m not the one out of ti here." She whispered mockingly. " What?" Naledi asked but Ved understood imdiately what was happening.
" No no no no noooo." He roared but it was too late.
