Cat hated using this ability, she had only used it once when she first awakened it. The reason for that was in it na.
As the na implied it made her sober, while active she can’t get drunk no matter how hard she drank, she couldn’t even have alcohol.
For a person with high alcohol tolerance like her that also loved drinking, that was a nightmare.
There was one upside though, this was the only ti she can use her martial intent and all of her other abilities while sober.
Normally her abilities required her to be intoxicated to an extent but not in her Sober Maiden form.
A pure white smoke cleared showing her, long blonde hair in a ponytail. She had Chinese hairpins on her head.
Her eyes were clear and her face puffed with makeup making her look stunningly gorgeous like a princess.
She was dressed in a long pure white dress, everything about her was prestine, she looked like a completely different person from the usually scantily dressed drunk of a woman who doesn’t even take care of her hair.
However nobody could appreciate her beauty because this was another problem with this ability.
It didn’t separate friend from foe, everybody within the range of her soul sense was effected.
Considering her soul sense could spread for over a hundred thousand kilotres, very few could escape it range unless they weren’t fighting her to begin with.
All those effected got drunk but it was more than that, it completely changed their senses.
Once effected she can manipulate your senses as she saw fit aning it was possible for her to even remove the effect.
However that needed more of her will than simply confusing your senses for so reason.
She looked at Vermilion, now clear headed she knew he was the enemy. When she activated the ability she wanted to kill both.
After all to her, it was the combination of their abilities that woke her up from her sleep. She nodded gently at the monk.
He tried to nod back but moved his foot forward instead. He looked confused, it was now that he realised there was more to her second phase than just looking pretty.
Vermilion noticed that as well, he pointed his finger at her and fired a beam of fire. She pretended to be taken by surprise but the beam missed.
She started laughing, her voice was sweet and gentle like that of an angel. She reminded him of Naledi, she was the only woman he knew who was this graceful.
He thought it was a pity she gave herself to a beast. He looked at his hand, " It seems this ability of yours confuses my senses, do you think that will be enough?"
He kicked off the air and flew at her, she didn’t dodge and his flaming spear missed her by a few centitres.
She didn’t move or do anything at all, she just stood there gracefully. He turned and swung it for her neck.
It went above her head, he detonated flas around himself. The flas spread out in every direction.
For the first ti she moved but it wasn’t to dodge his attack just to look at him directly. The flas spread around her as if avoiding her.
They turned forming a circle around her as if to protect her. She opened her mouth and a sweet angelic voice ca out.
" You can’t hurt Vermilion, it would be ungentlemanly of you." She giggled making him grit his teeth.
Her body faded and appeared a few kilotres away from him. In her hand was a cut of tea and a saucer.
Nobody knew where the tear ca from but her. " A somber maiden is a graceful lady, What’s more graceful than a lady sipping tea?"
She whispered, and took a sip. The tea was actually her wine in this form. She hated the fact that she was actually enjoying the taste of tea.
However she needed to drink it for her ability to remain strong. It power to begin with was highly dependent on how long she went without using it and how much alcohol was in her system.
She hadn’t used this ability in decades and during that entire ti she was drinking like every minute.
She literally learnt how drink while sleeping so it power was currently so great she doubted even Naledi could escape it.
With a sip of her tea Vermilion felt his body sway and his vision grew hazy. He roared and attacked again.
Thousands of fire birds appeared in the sky and went to attack her. They detonated around her and she appeared through the flas unhard.
" I already told you did I not? You cannot hurt ." Everybody watched everything with amazent.
To their eyes Vermilion was actively missing Cat and in truth he was. The first ability of this form was confusing senses.
Vermilion didn’t even realise but his actions were being controlled by her, every move he took was under her influence.
Even the birds he detonated, he attacked himself instead and didn’t even realise it. It made everybody shiver.
Cat’s friends realised how much more powerful she got without them even realising it.
None of them have awakened the second phase of their vessels but she already had. The monk looked at the two of them below with a smile.
" Dhyana." He tried to activate the pure of ditation but his body ballooned up almost ripping apart his robe.
He was confused, Cat looked at him and giggled gracefully. She snapped her fingers and he activated the pure of ditation as intended.
He was still confused but Cat knew, by senses she ant her ability controlled all senses.
There were levels to it, the lowest level was her effecting your sense of direction and nervous system.
Instead of an arm you move a leg, the second level was the one the monk just experienced.
She confuses your sense of control, you lose control of your essence energy itself, activating the wrong abilities instead of the one you want.
You can even detonate your own essence energy destroying your soul but such a level of control was impossible for her.
At least not against people of this level. The third one is where she changes your perception of reality.
You experience and feel what she want you to like Vermilion right now. This was the hardest one to use.
Drinking her tear makes it easier to use, it clears her mind making her more concentrated. There was an extra ability.
She can turn her body into mist to avoid most attacks and also reverse damage done to her as long as she had alcohol in her system.
