He had just closed his eyes to rest when the ground exploded next to him. He saw White looking at him eagerly, she transmitted her will to him.
As a rank 3 she didn’t have true will transmission, it was similar to the rank 3 mammoth he t in the past but her ssage was clear.
She wanted to fight, he sighed, he should’ve expected it. He stood up and followed her, he believed this sparring match would be good for him as well.
He still needs to get used to having only three legs so s little practice wouldn’t be bad for him. They reached a large clearing.
There were already others here, even Pulse and Goldi were here to watch alongside hundreds of rabbits and a few younger hippos.
He stood opposite her, then the ground shook and a gigantic stone sword from the ground and floated above her.
Lightning danced around her body and she attacked without giving him a chance to get ready but he was stronger than she was, even with her absurd speed her movents were still clear to him.
He dodged and his body blurred to the right, when he landed he tried to balance himself with his right arm but his body tilted, the montum carried him forward and he found himself rolling on the ground.
Before he could get up a lightning coated stone sword dropped on him like a guillotine. The ground below him shattered and lightning ran across his scales.
But he was not wounded. He continued lying there for a while and White did not attack again. ’ It seems this will take ti to get used to.’
His brain still convinced itself he had a right arm and getting to used to not having it will take ti and effort.
He stood up and faced her. ’ Again ’ She grinned and lunged at him, he dodged to the side, he was just about to try and balance with his right arm when he stopped himself.
His body failed to balance itself on ti and he fell but he was excited. He rembered he didn’t have the arm anymore, it might sound like a minor thing but he understood how strong and deceiving muscle mory can be.
White did not wait for him to get up and attacked but who was Ved, he stood up imdiately and slapped the sword away or so be tried.
But the sword landed on his head instead. ’ Damnit.’ he forgot again. ’ No right arm, no right arm, no right arm.’ he kept telling himself that in his head as a reminder.
’ Again.’ White attacked, her body zipped through the air like a bolt of lightning. Ved watched her fly at him with her giant sword behind her ready to slash out.
’ No right arm, no right arm.’ so he did not use his right, he slapped out with his left hand, the air exploded then he found himself lying on the ground face flat.
The ground exploded hundreds of tres away. Ved did not fall because he was attacked, he successfully hit White.
No, his body was just incapable of standing on it hind legs alone. Which is sothing he should’ve know, in most myths drakes couldn’t stand on two legs like true dragons.
They were too heavy and stumpy. ’ This is even harder than I expected.’ White jumped out of the crater and the fight continued.
As the fight progressed he was also making progress. He made a lot of mistakes during it but now he rarely forgot he didn’t have a right arm and when he used the left he made sure to land before he fell on his face.
However his most impressive progress was with his tail, since he evolved into a drake and his tail was nolonger as long compared to his body he couldn’t use it effectively as before.
He angled his body to the left and slashed the sword with his tail. It shattered into thousands of stone fragnts, afterall this was a makeshift sword she made casually.
He spun and swept at her with his tail, she dodged but the wind pressure pushed her back for dozens of tres.
Unlike his previous long and thin tail which could each any part of his body this new one couldn’t, it was shorter and thicker but had more explosive power but he had to angle his body to attack at certain angles.
However he was getting used to it, he was slowly learning how to perfectly angle his body, at which angle to swing his tail and slowly he was also learning to do it faster, almost instinctively.
They sparred every single day and just like that an entire week passed. He had gotten much better at using his body than a week before.
He sat next to Goldi and watched White bully a groug of young rabbits and hippos. So hippos went crying to Pulse who just shoved them in the newly built lake and beat them up.
She was embarrassed that her young clan mbers were such whiners and were so weak compared to rabbits tens of tis smaller than them.
But she understood this was partially her fault and the environnt they grew up in,unlike the rabbits they had no predators in that swamp.
And with her protection only Goldi could threaten them if he wanted but he would never do that, as a result they never had to learn how to fight.
While the rabbits had to fight for their lives every single day, they were small and had soft bodies without any biological weapons.
They looked like easy prey to any predators, even as awakened they still had weaker bodies compared to most beasts, it’s through utilising their telekinesis ability in an innovative way that they beca so strong.
’ So what’s your plan from here boy?’ Asked Goldi, Ved thought about it and he believed it was ti to get grinding.
