As Fang Qingyuan’s Divine Sense probed, information from the fruit continued to pour into his mind: Refining Essence and Qi, strengthening his core and cultivating his origin...

The profound mysteries of the Divine Technique flowed through Fang Qingyuan’s mind, and for a mont, he was completely imrsed. But after only a dozen breaths, he realized sothing was wrong. ’How is the lifespan granted by this Innate Qi Divine Technique so much greater than what the books describe?’

Based on the depletion rate of his Innate Primordial Qi, as dictated by the Innate Qi Divine Technique, Fang Qingyuan calculated that he had another seven hundred eighty-three years to live. Yet even after achieving Foundation Establishnt, his original life expectancy was only around 240 to 250 years.

Even with the enhancent from the Innate Qi Divine Technique, his lifespan should have only reached about five hundred years. ’So where did the extra 280-odd years co from?’

Puzzled yet overjoyed, Fang Qingyuan continued to probe the mystery. He finally discovered that in addition to absorbing various impure energies from the outside world to convert into Innate Primordial Qi, his Innate Qi was also drawing a type of Life Essence Qi from within the Immortal Mansion to use in the conversion.

The Life Essence Qi surging from the Immortal Mansion was far purer than the miscellaneous energies of the outside world. It required only a slight conversion by the Innate Divine Communication Fruit to beco his own Innate Primordial Qi. As a result, Fang Qingyuan’s Lifebound Primordial Qi surged, growing faster than it depleted.

’It can work like this?’ Fang Qingyuan was dumbfounded. He finally understood that only an Innate Divine Communication Fruit of this caliber could surpass ’God-Slaying Intent’ and the ’Five-Colored Light’ to beco his most fundantal Divine Technique.

If it were just a normal ’Innate Qi’ Divine Technique, it would be utterly incomparable to his other two Dao Fruit Divine Techniques.

The Five-Colored Treasure Tree, the techniques from its leaves, the three Dao Fruits, the possibility of immortality—these various gains post-Foundation Establishnt completely overwheld Fang Qingyuan’s mind. When he finally withdrew from his sea of consciousness, his face had beco surprisingly calm.

"What Innate Divine Technique is it?"

Fang Qingyuan raised his hazy eyes and looked at Zhao Liangde’s eager face, a bewildered expression on his own.

"Huh!?"

"I’m asking what your Innate Divine Technique is!"

Only then did Fang Qingyuan snap back to reality from his overwhelming elation. He saw the concerned Zhao Liangde, the broadly smiling Lechuan, Heiye pouting off to the side, Situ Jingyu peeking around the doorfra, the adorably dazed Jinbao, and Zhang Yuan, who had squeezed his way in. He slowly spoke.

"It’s Innate Qi!"

The anticipated cheers never ca. Zhang Yuan and Jinbao didn’t understand its significance. Situ Jingyu started to clap but, upon glancing at Lechuan’s back, quickly composed herself into a dignified posture once more.

Only Lechuan and Zhao Liangde’s eyes filled with utter delight, but with their level of composure, they would never do sothing so crass as to cry out in shock.

After the two exchanged a glance, Lechuan cleared his throat and addressed Fang Qingyuan.

"Would you be willing to accept as your master and beco my final disciple?"

At his side, Zhao Liangde began signaling frantically with his eyes, while behind him, Heiye secretly prodded him with its tail. Fang Qingyuan, however, needed no prompting. He imdiately fell to his knees in a formal bow and declared:

"This disciple, Fang Qingyuan, has drifted for half my life, lanting only that I never t a wise master and could only struggle to cultivate on my own. Since the Sect Leader does not disdain , I, Qingyuan, am willing to accept you as my revered master!"

Seeing this, Lechuan burst into hearty laughter. He stepped forward to personally help Fang Qingyuan to his feet and said:

"Excellent, my disciple! In accepting you, I can finally say my lineage is secure. For now, you must rest and recover your strength. In three months, I will hold a grand discipleship ceremony for you. I will have all the other branch sects attend and bear witness!"

Fang Qingyuan looked at the handso Sect Leader, who appeared even younger than Zhao Liangde. A warmth spread through his heart as he listened. He knew, of course, that Lechuan was interested in his Lifebound Talent, believing he had a promising future and could reach the Golden Core realm. That was the real reason the Sect Leader had decided to accept him. Still, as long as Lechuan did nothing to betray him, he was worthy of being treated as a true and honored master.

After offering Fang Qingyuan so words of encouragent, Lechuan and Zhao Liangde departed, intending to leave him so ti with Situ Jingyu, Zhang Yuan, and the others.

Situ Jingyu stepped forward and gave Fang Qingyuan a light punch on the shoulder.

"Way to go, Junior Brother! To think you’d awaken that kind of Divine Technique Talent. No wonder Sect Leader Le is treating you so well. Hey... Junior Brother, why do you look so pale all of a sudden?"

Fang Qingyuan didn’t answer Situ Jingyu. Instead, he called Jinbao over to stand behind him. Only then did he release the iron will that had been holding him up and fall straight backward. This ti, he had truly collapsed.

Jinbao quickly caught Fang Qingyuan. Heiye, seeing this, ambled forward to take a look before drawling lazily:

"His Divine Sense is overdrawn, and his body hasn’t had food for over half a year. He’s completely drained. Just take him back and let him rest for a few days, he’ll be fine. Besides, the kid still owes two hundred Top-grade Spirit Stones. Can’t have him dying on now."

So it turned out Heiye hadn’t left with Zhao Liangde because he was waiting to collect his debt. Hearing this, Situ Jingyu shot Heiye a glare, then took Fang Qingyuan from Jinbao’s grasp, held him in her own arms, and strode quickly out the door.
