Wildlife Rescue Station,
"Let’s talk about your origin."
Chen Yuan stared unblinkingly at the Fla Cloud Falcon in the iron cage, his expression serious and his gaze piercing.
"Aww!"
Cola swaggered around the iron cage like a bully, barking at the Fla Cloud Falcon from ti to ti.
"Chirp?"
The Fla Cloud Falcon tilted its head, looking at the hateful human before it, full of confusion.
Small head, big question mark.
Seeing this, Chen Yuan frowned slightly, suddenly realizing the absurdity of his question.
Even if the Fla Cloud Falcon could understand his question, it couldn’t possibly answer.
Not to ntion that the Fla Cloud Falcon’s expression was very bewildered, fearing its intelligence was not yet high enough to grasp his aning.
Chen Yuan had no choice but to temporarily give up on inquiring about the Fla Cloud Falcon’s origin and began to report its basic situation to the leaders of the Wildlife Rescue Station, then researched the data panel that had appeared out of nowhere.
Friends with systems know that the first few columns of information in the data panel are easy to understand.
"Only... what do ’rank’ and ’promotion rank’ an?"
Due to the lack of specific explanation, Chen Yuan temporarily couldn’t determine the aning represented by the last two columns, only guessing they were related to the extraordinary creatures’ power.
But since there is a promotion relationship, naturally higher rank is better.
"But anyway, all this indicates one thing—"
"This world has really changed!" Chen Yuan’s eyes shone brightly, muttering to himself.
Change signifies opportunity, signifies stormy shifts.
"But these temporarily have nothing to do with . I’m just a small worker." Chen Yuan smiled slightly, refocusing his gaze on the Fla Cloud Falcon’s angry face.
The Fla Cloud Falcon’s wing was no longer bleeding, but the blood had dyed its left wing red, complenting the fiery red feathers, painted as fiery clouds stretched across the sky at dusk.
Just then, the leader sent a ssage: "All as usual, stay safe."
Seeing the leader specifically remind him to stay safe, Chen Yuan’s eyes flickered as he typed a reply: "Okay, received."
Right then,
"Don’t be afraid, I an you no harm." Chen Yuan’s gaze softened, and he smiled slightly at the Fla Cloud Falcon, "I’ll help with the injury on your wing next, don’t worry, it’ll be fine soon."
"Chirp?"
The Fla Cloud Falcon’s sapphire eyes still reflected confusion. As it saw Chen Yuan getting closer and closer, a terrifying large shadow covered itself, it abruptly spread its wings and emitted a sharp screech, trying to intimidate Chen Yuan.
Chirp chirp chirp!
Don’t co near !
But to Chen Yuan, the Fla Cloud Falcon’s resistance posed no threat, especially since it was already injured, and its flas were weaker than a lighter’s fla.
Chen Yuan opened the iron cage, grabbed the weak Fla Cloud Falcon, ignoring its angry face, and administered an anesthetic.
After all, this was an extraordinary creature, and he couldn’t ensure it wouldn’t harm him.
It took a good while for the anesthetic to take effect, and Chen Yuan quickly disinfected the wound on its wing and bandaged it with dical gauze.
Having done all this, Chen Yuan cautiously placed the Fla Cloud Falcon back into the iron cage, patted his hands with a radiant smile: "Alright, now you can rest well."
"Phew...."
However, in response to Chen Yuan was only a faint snoring sound.
He looked down and saw the Fla Cloud Falcon had sohow curled up, closed its eyes, and fallen asleep.
...
The sun rose high.
The Fla Cloud Falcon woke up slowly, and as soon as it opened its eyes, it saw a massive dog head in view, with drool dripping from its mouth.
"Chirp chirp chirp!"
Frightened, the Fla Cloud Falcon beca emotionally agitated and fainted again.
Chen Yuan patted Cola’s head, chiding: "Why did you scare it unconscious?"
"Aww?"
Cola tilted its head and gave an innocent look.
Who knew it was such a coward?
"You dare talk back to ." Seeing Cola’s reaction, Chen Yuan instinctively raised his hand, which made Cola smile sheepishly and retreat repeatedly.
Just then, his phone rang, Chen Yuan pulled out his phone and answered.
"Brother, are you busy right now?" A familiar voice sounded in his ear.
Chen Yuan chuckled: "Not busy, how co you have ti to call today?"
Chen Yuan’s parents died unexpectedly early, leaving his grandfather to bring up him and his younger brother Chen Wenhao alone.
Unlike Chen Yuan, with rather average grades, Chen Wenhao attends a top dostic university and has chosen direct doctoral study, following a renowned professor for further research.
"So there’s no one else around you, right?" Chen Wenhao asked again.
Chen Yuan felt a slight tension, frowning: "No one, what’s happening?"
"Nothing." Chen Wenhao’s tone was calm; he paused for half a second, then said solemnly, "Brother, what I’m going to tell you next is very important, you must promise not to tell anyone else."
"...Hmm."
"Brother, ntally prepare yourself, what I’m going to say might overturn all your beliefs, very possibly..."
Chen Yuan laughed and cursed: "Dragging it out, just hurry and tell what’s going on."
Chen Wenhao took a deep breath and said in a serious voice: "The world is undergoing a mutation, a mutation that will overturn the current social order."
"Hmm, and then?" Chen Yuan’s tone was flat.
"Brother, aren’t you a bit surprised?" Chen Wenhao asked in astonishnt.
Chen Yuan raised an eyebrow: "Isn’t that quite obvious?"
"Continuous rain for seven days is already abnormal, plus the plants outside are growing taller by the day, anyone could see the world has changed."
Chen Wenhao was silent for a mont, then said, "Not just plants."
"To be more precise, all life forms on Blue Star."
Chen Yuan glanced at Cola lying on the ground, thoughtfully: "All life forms?"
"Yes." Chen Wenhao’s tone was serious, "The continuous rain has caused a new Spiritual Energy Tide, giving all life forms a possibility to evolve upwards."
"Every kind of life form might develop incredible abilities."
"And such beings are called Extraordinary Creatures."
Hearing this, Chen Yuan couldn’t help but retort: "This is exactly like the Spiritual Energy Revival novels I’ve read."
Chen Wenhao emphasized: "Brother, this isn’t a novel, this is really happening."
After a brief pause, he continued: "Humans, though we can’t develop incredible abilities, can beco Beastmasters, contracting these extraordinary creatures."
"As long as we use the ditation thod to hone our Spiritual Power, there’s a chance to awaken Beast Taming Space, becoming a Beastmaster."
"Beastmasters can command extraordinary creatures in battle, this is humanity’s greatest reliance in this massive upheaval."
Chen Yuan was silent for a long ti, then asked: "How do you know these things?"
