While these roars might not have shaken the land for miles, they easily rocked the entire Cultivation Base.

The roars spread until nearly everyone in the Cultivation Base had heard them loud and clear—including, of course, Chu Xiran and the other five.

"The evolution must have succeeded. Can we go take a look now?" Curiosity was practically spilling from Niu Fenjin’s eyes.

He was dying to see what kind of Pet Beast Li Qian had managed to evolve that could trigger the Light of Evolution three tis in a single transformation.

Chu Xiran and the three admissions teachers were naturally just as curious.

They all turned their gazes to Han Yuqing.

Without a doubt, she was the only one there who could make the call.

Han Yuqing didn’t delay. She imdiately took out her phone and made a call.

The call connected quickly. After a brief exchange, Han Yuqing nodded. "We can go over now."

Having received permission, the group didn’t hesitate for a second and hurried out.

As they were rushing over, Li Qian was fulfilling his promise. He walked over to Xiaoliu and said gently, "Xiaoliu, I told you before that if you could complete this evolution, I would form a contract with you and make you my second Pet Beast."

Li Qian looked at Xiaoliu, who had evolved into a Frostfire Salamander with its Level reaching Tier Five Elite, and said solemnly, "Now, I can fulfill that promise."

Li Qian had never once considered the possibility that Xiaoliu might refuse.

After all, without him, Xiaoliu wouldn’t be where it was today.

Besides, Xiaoliu had the kind of personality that refused to admit defeat and was never satisfied.

Only by following him could it ever hope to reach greater heights.

Xiaoliu itself was surely aware of this.

So Li Qian wasn’t worried in the slightest.

And as it turned out, he had no reason to worry. When he beckoned, Xiaoliu unhesitatingly and docilely extended its head, allowing him to stroke it.

Li Qian wasted no ti.

His outstretched hand ford a Beast Taming Contract, which he then touched to Xiaoliu’s forehead.

Instantly, a brilliant light erupted.

With both parties willing, the contract was ford effortlessly.

Sensing the newly established ntal link with Xiaoliu, Li Qian nodded in satisfaction.

’As expected of a Pet Beast with Potential reaching Tier Nine Dominator.’ Even though it was only at Tier Five Elite Level, the feedback from the contract alone caused his physical attributes to skyrocket.

Li Qian felt that his physical condition was now on par with so low-Potential Pet Beasts that had just entered the Elite Level.

What delighted him even more were the two passive Skills Xiaoliu now possessed: Fierce Fire and Frost.

The trigger chanism for both passive Skills was identical.

They would automatically activate whenever the Pet Beast’s Energy dropped below half.

Once triggered, these passive Skills would double the power of its Fire Skills and Ice Skills, respectively.

The Frostfire Salamander was already a rare, high-Potential Pet Beast. Now, with the Fierce Fire and Frost Skills, its combat power had soared. It might not be completely invincible at its Tier, but it couldn’t be far off.

Just as Li Qian was reveling in his success, the sound of approaching footsteps grew louder.

The footsteps belonged to Chu Xiran and the other five, who had been observing from the edge of the woods, trying to get a glimpse of the events within.

After getting Li Qian’s permission, they had rushed over at the first opportunity.

And then they saw it: a massive, lizard-like Pet Beast, ten ters long and nearly four ters tall.

As the vice dean of the Cultivation College at Jiangnan Beast Taming University, Zhou Chubin was clearly more knowledgeable than the others.

The mont he saw the giant lizard, he recognized it. "That’s... a Frostfire Salamander!"

And it was precisely because he recognized it that he lost his composure, his voice filled with disbelief. "How is that possible! How could it possibly be a Frostfire Salamander!"

Zhou Chubin’s outburst snapped Xue Huaiyu and Ai Xiaolian back to their senses. "It’s actually a Frostfire Salamander! Legend says it’s a Powerful Pet Beast with Potential reaching Tier Nine Dominator!"

The reason they called it a "Legend" was that the Frostfire Salamander is exceedingly rare, with only a minuscule chance of being encountered in the wilds and Dinsional Rifts of the Western Federation Countries.

They had almost never been seen in the Eastern Federation Countries, so one could only imagine their rarity.

Furthermore, it was rumored that this rare Salamander Pet Beast could evolve into a legendary Holy Spirit-level Pet Beast—the Ice and Fire Giant Dragon.

For this very reason, many Breeders in the Western Federation Countries were studying this rare Pet Beast, hoping to unlock its secrets.

Unfortunately, it seed no one had made any breakthroughs.

They hadn’t even figured out the evolution path from Frostfire Salamander to Ice and Fire Giant Dragon, let alone which Pet Beast the Frostfire Salamander itself evolved from. There were simply no clues.

It was as if the Frostfire Salamander had appeared out of thin air.

Now, seeing this living, breathing Frostfire Salamander affectionately nuzzling Li Qian’s palm, they finally had their answer.

But it was precisely because they had the answer that they were so shocked their jaws were about to hit the floor.

"A Koi Carp can evolve into a Frostfire Salamander!" Ai Xiaolian stared blankly, her mouth opening and closing as if she were both asking a question and talking to herself.

"No wonder so many Breeders in the West still haven’t figured out which Pet Beast the Frostfire Salamander evolves from."

After the initial shock, Zhou Chubin continued, his voice filled with emotion, "So it turns out they evolve from the most common Koi Carp in our East."
