Gu Ming stood on the soil of the back mountain, watching the Little Mantis Beast fly past him, completely bewildered.

Behind Gu Ming, the shouts of his family and the voices of his teacher and the others followed close behind.
That’s right. To test the system’s bug, Gu Ming had gone so far as to climb the wall and run off to the back mountain to explore.

With another flash of movent, it snatched the green mantis beast in its jaws.
And you’ll never guess what happened next.
The system displayed:

Gu Ming laughed to himself.
He looked at Cyan Treasure, which was hopping around full of life, completely fine. At worst, it had rushed a bit too fast and scraped off a small scale.
In the system’s eyes, this was the sign of a candle flickering in the wind.
He wasn’t about to believe any of the system’s exaggerated descriptions.
Gu Ming reached out, took the little mantis from Cyan Treasure’s mouth, and held it up to examine.
This mantis was actually just a normal mantis, looking no different from any other common insect on the mountain.

Gu Ming sounded very childish when he said this, completely disregarding his family’s warnings.

Gu Ming turned around, intending to tell Teacher Zhang to stay behind and guard the house, but he discovered Lu You had co along right behind Teacher Zhang.
With that, Gu Ming’s worries vanished.
He said, "It’s the middle of the day, and since you’re all here anyway, why don’t we explore the back mountain together?"
The others looked at Gu Ming’s act-first-report-later, utterly unreasonable attitude, but they were helpless to do anything about him.
Lu You had no objections. She followed the group up the mountain, thinking Gu Ming had discovered sothing new, but it turned out he hadn’t.
But it wasn’t convenient to turn back alone now. Since she was already here, she could only follow along and explore the back mountain.

His grandfather also took out a slingshot and casually killed so mantises that had no Mana, then picked them up and put them in a sack. "We’ll have fried mantis tonight."
Mantis is high in protein, and they’re super crunchy when you fry them.
In addition, another ssage flashed through Gu Ming’s system, ntioning a "Flying Demon Rabbit."
But in the next instant, his grandfather’s slingshot fired, and the system prompted, "The Flying Demon Rabbit has been destroyed by Cyan Treasure’s imnse combat power."
In reality, the system had misinterpreted the scene of his grandfather using the slingshot, mistakenly crediting the kill to Cyan Treasure.
Following the system’s exaggerated prompt, Gu Ming went over to help pick up this so-called "Flying Demon Rabbit."

"Let’s just go a little further. Cyan Treasure hasn’t eaten its fill yet."
In reality, Cyan Treasure was stuffed. Its belly was bulging, and the Celestial Demon Technique was rumbling away, rapidly digesting the food inside.
