"A supply box!"

All mbers of the Forest Wolf Troop instantly spotted the supply box floating on the lake’s surface.

Li Da furrowed his brows slightly, cautiously glancing around.

It turned out to be a small lake situated in a depression. It was indeed relatively hidden. The existence of an undiscovered supply box in such a place was, theoretically, quite reasonable.

With this in mind, Li Da felt a bit more at ease.

After all, among the various items in a supply box, even sothing as common as an Energy Recovery Potion could be a lifesaver in many situations. Even if they didn’t need one now, who could say what might happen later?

However, after so thought, Li Da instructed, "Stay off the water’s surface, Da Zhuang..."

Upon Li Da’s order, Da Zhuang focused his mind. A tree branch instantly grew from the shore, stretching out towards the supply box in the middle of the lake.

However, Li Da soon furrowed his brow again.

From his perspective, the supply box wasn’t far—only about twenty ters away. Da Zhuang’s branch should have easily reached it. Yet, as the branch extended, it failed to touch the supply box. Instead, from his viewpoint, the box seed to be slowly drifting backward—an eerie sight.

Almost instantly, Li Da realized the danger and shouted, "Not good! It’s an ambush!"

anwhile, the previously tranquil surface of the small lake suddenly erupted with tumultuous waves. A massive, almost transparent figure erged from the water, giving Li Da no ti to react. The spray from the erupting waves instantly condensed, swirled in the mouth of the illusory, transparent creature, and then shot out fiercely!

Iron Water Cannonball!

The spinning, compressed water cannon ignored the Wanmu Wolf on the shore and shot straight at the Beast Tar!

There wasn’t just one—there were a full five of them!

Almost instantly, information about this strange aquatic serpent surfaced in Su Ping’s mind: Hydro Serpent! Racial Potential: early-stage Monarch. An Evolutionary Body of the elite Pet Beast, Whorl Python. Its main Skills include firing Iron Water Cannonballs—highly compressed water elents—and the ability to rge with water sources in elent-rich environnts, making it extrely difficult to detect with the naked eye...

In this world, all sorts of Pet Beasts and their corresponding Evolutionary Bodies are constantly erging, Su Ping mused. How could there truly be an invincible Pet Beast Evolutionary Body?

Undoubtedly, at this mont, the Forest Wolf Troop was forced into a completely passive position. This was especially true because the Iron Water Cannonballs targeted the Beast Tar, not the Pet Beast.

The four mbers further away were relatively safe, but Team Captain Li Da was now undoubtedly exposed to the Iron Water Cannonballs. If he were hit, his vital signs wristband would almost certainly be triggered imdiately. An attack from a long-planned, cunning ambush wasn’t going to be easy to dodge, was it?

However, at this critical juncture, Da Zhuang reacted instantly, unleashing its full speed. Its Commandant Ninth Rank body leaped dozens of ters, positioning itself in front of Li Da just before the Iron Water Cannonballs struck.

"Da Zhuang!" Li Da shouted.

Almost without thinking, Li Da saw the massive figure of the Wanmu Wolf freeze on the spot.

Everyone frowned. This was a competition, and injuries were inevitable. After all, it was often difficult to control the intensity of Pet Beast battles. However, if this attack landed, it would cause more than just an injury.

This question arose in everyone’s mind. Is this Li Da so desperate to avoid elimination that he’d sacrifice his fully evolved Pet Beast? After all, in their view, if this attack connected, the Wanmu Wolf would be crippled, if not killed outright. Why isn’t Li Da activating the protective effect of his vital signs wristband? What is he thinking? Is he really going to stand by and watch the Wanmu Wolf be severely wounded, or even die?

However, just as this thought surfaced, everyone was once again stunned.

It wasn’t that the attack was blocked or dodged; the spinning, compressed Iron Water Cannonball indeed struck the Wanmu Wolf’s figure. But at this very mont, the Wanmu Wolf underwent a change that no one had anticipated.

The previously agile Wanmu Wolf was now rigidly frozen. Its Y-shaped, antler-like branches atop its head swayed gently, while the foliage extending down its back instantaneously enveloped its body, turning the Wanmu Wolf into a sphere. All previous signs of life from the Wanmu Wolf vanished completely. The encasing foliage extended into the soil beneath its feet, taking root.

BANG!

The Iron Water Cannonball accurately struck the now stationary Wanmu Wolf. And indeed, a spinning crater appeared on its body, right through the covering of leaves. It looked as if an electric drill had bored a hole straight through it.

But upon seeing this ’hole,’ everyone was once again dumbstruck.

"What is that?" soone exclaid in disbelief.

Because the scene unfolding before them was astonishing: the hole didn’t reveal bone and organs, nor did any blood flow out. Instead, it looked like a severed tree branch, exposing only woody fibers.

Most uncannily, as the Pet Beast’s foliage unfurled, the hole began to heal at a slow yet visible rate!
