"True Qi, sink! Gather in the legs and the blade, poised and ready to strike like rolling thunder!"
"Unleash the sword!"
As Su Ping’s words fell, the little Paperman struck an eerie pose and sent its sword flying, its speed even greater than before!
CLANG!
A clear, ringing sound of the sword, so crisp and pleasant to the ear!
If an outsider didn’t know better, they would definitely think Su Ping was watching so absurd martial arts film.
But obviously, as far-fetched as it sounded, Su Ping was indeed training a Pet Beast.
The problem was, the little Paperman didn’t quite understand technical terms related to Energy, but these overly dramatic martial arts terms were, surprisingly, sowhat comprehensible to it.
Accompanied by the clear ring, the blade of the Paper Swords directly struck the ’sandbag’ in front of it.
The next mont, on a display not far away, a clear line of text appeared:
[tal Attribute Skill Attack. Skill Assessnt: Sharp Weapon Attack. Pet Beast’s Own Level: Elite Second Rank. Estimated Skill Level: Proficient. Skill Attack Power Intensity: 67]
Indeed, this was the attack power testing lab from the Breeder Association, which Su Ping had later obtained from Old Liu.
Judging solely from attacks on a dummy, it was difficult to clearly ascertain a skill’s power. This attack power testing lab undoubtedly solved that problem.
But right now, Su Ping had no ti to concern himself with these details.
Instead, he frowned as he looked at the skill attack data displayed above.
An entire morning passed.
After Qian Yi had grasped the power generation and Energy utilization techniques taught by Su Ping, forming the first rudintary version of its swordsmanship, they had remained in this lab.
However, the results were far from satisfying for Su Ping.
An attack power of 67.
For a Pet Beast of only Elite First Rank, this was already quite remarkable—even exceptional.
After all, the lab’s assessnt judged it as the power equivalent to a Proficient Level skill unleashed by an Elite Second Rank Pet Beast.
But for Su Ping, this was a failure!
The reason was simple: Qian Yi, when using the Jinge Technique against the wooden training dummy, could now achieve an attack power of up to 103!
This output, from an Elite First Rank Pet Beast, was comparable to, or even surpassed, the Elite Sixth or Seventh Rank Sand Wolf.
That was the power of the Jinge Technique when it reached the Perfect Level.
And now, the power of this rudintary swordsmanship only exceeded a normal Sword Body attack by about thirty percent.
Given the supposed energy compression and speed enhancent, this level of power seed to be within reasonable expectations.
But without a doubt, such an improvent was not enough for the little Paperman to solidify it into its own Swordsmanship skill.
Could it be, as I suspected, that this task is genuinely too demanding? Does it require an epiphany from Qian Yi, the little Paperman?
Yet, Su Ping was the little Paperman’s Beast Tar.
I’ve cultivated powerful Pet Beasts for others. Could it be that when it cos to my own, I’ll fall short?
Su Ping could not accept such a possibility.
So, he fell into deep thought.
"WAH!?"
Qian Yi, noticing Su Ping’s dissatisfaction, seed a bit frustrated too and scratched its head.
Observing the little fellow’s deanor, Su Ping smiled and said, "Alright, you’ve trained all night. Go and recover. Becoming a powerful Swordsman isn’t achieved overnight; you need to balance exertion and rest!"
"WAH!"
The little Paperman returned to the Undead basent.
But whether it continued training or truly rested, Su Ping didn’t know. He wasn’t in the mood to concern himself with that, still pondering the problem at hand.
What was still missing?
Could it be that Qian Yi simply hasn’t practiced enough? Would more practice be sufficient?
Regrettably, he couldn’t dwell on it further. He had other tasks to attend to today, including the commitnt he’d made yesterday.
"Bro Ping, I’m at the entrance of Heart of Woods!"
Li Shu’s ssage ca through on his phone. Su Ping gathered his thoughts and stepped out the front door.
He saw Li Shu and his father, Li Senlin, whom he had only t the day before.
"Su Ping, this young man..." Li Senlin began sowhat awkwardly. After yesterday’s events, his view of this young man, who was the sa age as his own son, had shifted from underestimation to genuine admiration.
Su Ping, however, simply smiled. "Uncle Li, please don’t worry!"
Li Senlin scratched his head. anwhile, Li Shu, standing beside him, gestured for his father to leave. "Alright, Dad, you should get going. Don’t you have work?"
Li Senlin nodded and, after bidding Su Ping farewell, took his leave.
Leading the unusually subdued Li Shu, who was so quiet he almost seed like a stranger, Su Ping initiated the conversation with a smile, "So, have you made up your mind?"
Li Shu nodded. "Bro Ping, I also want to beco a Breeder."
Su Ping smiled faintly. "I’ll be upfront with you. For now, the only Pet Beast I can offer for your practice is the Forest Wolf. Of course, so aquatic Pet Beasts might arrive in a few days, but I don’t have much experience with those. Furthermore, in the future, I might indeed develop so Plant Type Pet Beasts for cultivation..."
"I understand, Bro Ping. I’ll train the Forest Wolf. I’ve made up my mind: if I get the chance to contract a second Pet Beast in the future, I will choose the Forest Wolf!" Li Shu declared resolutely.
The smile on Su Ping’s face didn’t fade as he patted Li Shu’s shoulder.
