"Damn it! What are the Beast Tars from the Law Enforcent Office and the Legion even doing?"
"Why would a Commander-Level avian Ferocious Beast break into the city area? Are we ordinary people, just because we aren’t in the city center or the market center, not entitled to their protection?"
A fat man was sweating profusely as he looked up at the bizarre Fla-Eating Crow circling overhead.
It was clear to him that this was indeed a Fla-Eating Crow, but the question was, why did it possess Commander-Level strength?
He didn’t know, but he did know that its arrival spelled trouble.
This ti, his slaughterhouse might be in serious trouble.
With that thought, he urgently said to a guard beside him, "What are you standing around for? Hurry up and call the Law Enforcent Office for reinforcents!"
"Don’t worry, boss, we called them as soon as it showed up," the guard replied.
Then, the fat man stretched out his hand, and his Contracted Beast bound by a Soul Contract appeared.
It was a Steel Spike Wild Boar, several tis more corpulent than him.
It also possessed Commander-Level strength.
However, the man didn’t feel for a second that his Ah Fu would be a match for that bird in the sky.
The reason was simple. SNORT... As soon as the Steel Spike Wild Boar nad Ah Fu appeared, originally intent on showing off its might, it imdiately cowered like a mouse seeing a cat upon sensing the Fla-Eating Crow of the sa Level in the sky, hiding directly behind the fat man.
Pet Beasts that had been dosticated for countless years, owned by humans who never considered progressing towards becoming Beast Tars, would remain re flowers in a greenhouse despite any increase in their Level or possessing so strength, as they lacked corresponding combat awareness and experience.
The man slapped Ah Fu’s head in frustration, his hand tingling from the impact. "Damn it, you useless oaf! I’ve pampered you like you were my own father, and now you chicken out on ?!"
But despite his words, it was clear the man was reluctant to let Ah Fu, his Pet Beast who had been like a family mber for twenty years, beco roasted pork for that Black Crow.
Of course, a man able to run such a slaughterhouse couldn’t possibly be a fool. He imdiately ordered those around him:
"Don’t do anything rash! The rest of you, don’t let your Pet Beasts try to attack or provoke this thing! Its target is likely the other avian Ferocious Beasts trapped in the cages! Rember, as long as it doesn’t attack anyone unprovoked, let it do what it wants! Just don’t get hurt."
Indeed, he had dispatched many people and expended great effort to capture these birds, keeping them all the way from the New Year until now.
The price of each one after slaughter was several thousand to tens of thousands per pound of at.
After all, these were wild Ferocious Beasts, not comrcially cultivated Pet Beasts of the sa Level, so their prices were naturally different.
But human life was always more valuable.
Toothy was circling in the sky.
The little one had been lying in wait for many days already.
These human Beast Tars were too weak to stop it.
Clearly, although Toothy was clever, knowing to lie in wait and gauge the strength gap between itself and its enemies was already significant progress.
As for ticulously planning and strategizing before acting, well, that was still beyond its capabilities.
In the world of Pet Beasts, especially among Low-Level Pets, brute force was undoubtedly a universally applicable tactic.
So, Toothy charged.
A terrifying Darkness Fireball erupted instantly, aid directly at the Absolute Iron Cage where the avian Pet Beasts were confined.
The Absolute Iron Cage was made from specially crafted materials.
Any Pet Beast locked inside couldn’t exert its Energy; it was a relatively common device for containing Pet Beasts.
Now, under Toothy’s Fla, which contained the Darkness Attribute and its ’corrosion’ special Ability, a large hole was eaten through in a short ti.
WHOOSH!
A flurry of wingbeats sounded, and instantly, the birds cramd into the huge cage flapped their wings frantically, pushing their way out.
Over twenty Ordinary-Level avian Ferocious Beasts and more than a dozen common Elite-Level birds reveled in their newfound freedom.
They scattered into the sky.
There were also about ten or so circling nearby, as if waiting for their rescuer, their king.
"CAW! CAW! CAW!"
Toothy’s black wings kept flapping, as if it were posturing defiantly at the humans below.
During these past few days, the little one had witnessed with its own eyes how the leading human had captured so of its kin and stuffed them into that large cage!
This guy was the pri culprit!
If Toothy had been acting according to its old personality, it would have blasted him with fire long ago.
Towards ’enemies,’ the mutated Little Crow never showed rcy.
But that was in the past, when it was a mutated Little Crow, not the Toothy of today.
Toothy circled overhead, its equally pitch-black eyes and pupils locked onto the profusely sweating fat man below.
Yet, it rembered one thing: Su Ping had told it that unless humans acted against it with malicious intent, it was not to attack them wantonly.
It was now a mber of the Heart of Myriad Spirits family. Clearly, compared to avenging its ’kin,’ the little one valued its family’s instructions much more.
