It was still that incredibly coveted purple color.
From the previous sky blue, it had transford into such a prominent color that even the relatively inconspicuous Origami Man Record itself now stood out.
At last, the familiar process was perfected. The original sky-blue Level 3 Origami Man Record, now with an all-purple background, relayed feedback from the Myriad Spirit Beast Atlas deep in Su Ping’s mind:
[Origami Man Record Level upgraded! Current Catalog Level: 4. Paperman Origin greatly enhanced. Origami Man Record earns 50% Experience Points! Unlocked Origin reward: Experience Infusion!]
Level 4!
Under normal circumstances, each Catalog that reached this level would require at least half a year to complete.
However, the upgrade of each individual Catalog indeed provided trendous help.
Upgrading to Level 4 also brought an extraordinary ability: to elevate the corresponding Pet Beast’s Realm, a terrifying effect.
Experience Infusion.
But this ability has significant limitations, and it can only be used by consuming precious Catalog Experience Points along with my own spiritual power. Expending so spiritual power is nothing much for . But when it cos to Experience Points, ever since I found out they could be converted into Universal Experience Points for other Catalogs, I’ve been rather reluctant to part with them.
If I now had two Catalogs capable of converting to Universal Experience Points, the acquisition of such points would increase. Consequently, the enhancent and perfection of other Catalogs’ Evolution Laws would also speed up significantly.
With this in mind, Su Ping continued to examine the conditions for further upgrading the Origami Man Record.
[Catalog: Origami Man Record]
[...]
[Current Catalog Level: 4 (3/100,000) (8/10)]
(Note: After reaching Level 4, two upgrade thods are available! You may use either ’Experience Enhancent’ or ’Evolution Enhancent’ to upgrade to Level 5!)
(Experience Enhancent: Initially requires the consumption of 500,000 Experience Points to upgrade to Level 5! Each ti an Evolution Enhancent is completed, the required Experience Points will decrease by 50,000!)
(Evolution Enhancent: Personally cultivate and develop ten completely different evolutionary pathways to upgrade!)
...
Indeed, apart from special Pet Beasts like those in the Divine Dragon Codex, the requirents for most other Pet Beast Catalogs were quite similar.
And as expected, what made Su Ping’s heart pound was seeing the sa upgrade conditions now listed for the Origami Man Record.
But the Paperman, compared to the Forest Wolf for which Su Ping had only hand-cultivated four evolutionary forms so far, was already more than halfway toward its goal, with eight of the ten required evolutionary pathways developed.
The potential of the Paperman is too vast! There are too many available evolutionary forms to develop, and most importantly, it’s incredibly simple!
Su Ping took another look:
[Discovered evolutionary forms, special Cultivation thods]
[Golden Origami: A Paperman form evolved through mastery of tal Attribute specialization and developed by the thod of assembly, possessing initial capabilities of tal Attribute transformation.]
[Wooden Origami: ...]
[Water Origami: ...]
[...]
[Thunder Origami: ...]
That’s right. The evolutionary forms for all eight basic elents—Gold, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth, Wind, Ice, and Thunder—had already appeared in this Catalog.
And that doesn’t even include the ’Armored Paperman,’ the most useless Paperman evolutionary form I developed earlier. Even if a Mutant like Qian Yi’s evolution doesn’t count, I only need to develop two more evolutionary forms.
Two brand-new evolutionary forms!
If it were any other Pet Beast, even the Forest Wolf, a Pet Beast I’m extrely familiar with, I couldn’t have co up with new forms so quickly to complete the puzzle for advancing to Level 5. But the Paperman is different!
The initial evolution of the Paperman required only the simplest step. This is why the Paperman’s potential is so imnse that it has prompted Dragon Nation to take firm action, categorizing the Paperman as an exclusive Pet Beast not permitted to be circulated outside Dragon Country.
Beyond the basic Five Elents and the derivative Three Talents, there are even more Advanced Level Attributes: Life and Death, Light and Darkness, as well as Space and Ti. The first two pairs are classic binary opposing Attributes, or manifestations of ’Yin’ and ’Yang,’ while Space and Ti are relatively more complex. But no matter what, these Attributes all exist on Blue Star, and there are corresponding resources. As long as there are attribute resources with effects similar to those of the other Five Elents and Three Talents, I believe that with the Paperman’s effects and abilities, I can cultivate entirely new evolutionary forms! Moreover, ten types are just the upgrade requirent for the Myriad Spirit Beast Atlas, not the limit for the Paperman itself!
With only two evolutionary forms left to develop, Su Ping’s heart was undoubtedly invigorated.
Qian Yi’s individual combat strength is sowhat lacking. Although, in the past two days, I’ve co to understand sothing: I don’t necessarily need to pursue Qian Yi’s individual combat strength. That would be a waste of effort. If I expect a Pet Beast to be flawless in all situations, then why bother contracting so many Pet Beasts? I might as well just focus on one and try to make it perfect. But every species has its limitations. Even Spirit Saint Level Pet Beasts, or even Little Fla’s true body—Legendary Pet Beasts like Fire Supre—have weaknesses and enemies. My cultivation of Xiao Qing has made it relatively perfect among individuals; after all, it’s a creature created from Biyao Chunshen and an External Incarnation.
