Si Shuo rushed to him, wrapping her arms tightly around his lean waist. "Ji Liang, Ji Liang! I thought I’d never see you again. How did you find ?"

Ji Liang hugged her back tightly, inhaling her sweet scent. His heart, which had been cold, hard, and anxious, finally ward and settled.

Ji Liang gave a low cough. "There’s no need to put it nicely. I was a bit weaker, it’s true. But if I hadn’t been considering our future as Couple Brothers and gone all out... well, I’m not saying I’d take you down with , but you would’ve ended up dead or crippled!"
