Chapter 1116: Chapter 848: Grinding Points (Two In One)

“Please show your Beast Taming Badge.” The guard at the entrance to the Secret Realm said.

The Secret Realm is not a place one can enter casually.

First of all, ordinary people are not allowed inside. Secondly, the higher the level of the Secret Realm, the stricter the requirents for the Beast Tars entering it.

However, for those who don’t et the qualifications but still wish to sneak in, there are plenty of ways.

As long as you’re willing to pay the price, there are always Pet Beasts with special skills that can assist you.

Qiao Sang, Lin Shi, and Yuan Jiewen handed over their Beast Taming Badges in turn.

The guard scanned them using the designated equipnt and allowed them passage.

Just as Qiao Sang was about to step inside, a voice called out beside her:

“Did you guys buy insurance? Make sure to buy insurance before going in! We offer personal Beast Taming insurance…”

Qiao Sang didn’t finish listening. She raised her foot and stepped into the Secret Realm.

It was like a pebble thrown into water, causing ripples to spread rapidly. But the Barrier quickly stabilized.

Darkness consud everything before her eyes.

Monts later, her vision cleared.

Qiao Sang realized she was standing in a dense forest. She wasn’t sure if it was because there was no sunlight within the Secret Realm or if the tightly packed trees obscured the sky, leaving no room for sunlight to filter through—either way, the surroundings felt dark and gloomy.

Thankfully, there was just enough light, and Yaobao’s brilliant Fla Wings illuminated the silhouettes of the objects around her.

The area was devoid of people, yet traces of combat were startlingly evident.

Fallen trees lay scattered chaotically, dead leaves were strewn ssily across the ground, and several Venomous Fang Worms lay unconscious nearby.

“Seems like the group ahead of us just left not long ago.” Lin Shi remarked.

The Secret Realm isn’t accessible at all tis. After a group enters, the next wave of people must wait for a ti interval before being allowed in. They say that too many people entering at once could damage the realm’s passageway.

Qiao Sang was about to speak when her instincts kicked in. Her ears twitched, picking up movent coming from the upper right.

“Ya Ya!”

At the sa ti, Yaobao noticed the commotion. Before its Beast Tar could even react, it displayed an eager expression, let out a cry, opened its mouth, and unleashed a spectacular spinning fla toward the upper right.

“Venomous Fang!”

With a screech, two darkened figures fell from the trees.

On closer inspection, it turned out to be Venomous Fang Worms.

This jolted Yuan Jiewen back to his senses.

With a complicated expression, he glanced at the black-haired girl before him. Then he reached into his backpack, pulled out two gas masks, and said, “Put these on. This area is crawling with Venomous Fang Worms, and their breath is laced with poison. Even the air around here is toxic. Wearing this will make it safer.”

He hesitated montarily and continued:

“I didn’t know the team would consist of three people ahead of ti, so I only brought two gas masks. You two can use these.”

Qiao Sang, thanks to Lubao’s healing prowess, couldn’t be easily poisoned—even General-level Pet Beasts’ venom wouldn’t affect her imdiately. As for the Venomous Fang Worms, being lower-level Pet Beasts, their poison was insignificant to her.

Just as she finished speaking, rustling noises suddenly surged from all directions.

Oh crap… Qiao Sang lifted her head, pupils constricting. She couldn’t help but internally curse.

A swarm of Venomous Fang Worms grinned nacingly, revealing their venomous fangs. The sheer number of them, rushing simultaneously from all directions, flooded her vision from above, encircling them fiercely.

Although scenes like this had happened back on Chao Su Star, the sudden appearance of a massive wave of Bug-Type Pet Beasts still sent chills down her spine.

Similarly, Yuan Jiewen looked toward the sky, his already pale face growing several shades whiter.

The creature standing by him—a bipedal, predominantly blue Pet Beast equipped with feline-like whiskers and claws gripping bladed, shell-like weapons—stepped forward with a serious expression, positioning itself protectively in front of its Beast Tar.

Lin Shi’s gaze fixed on the swarm of grimacing Venomous Fang Worms overhead. Her expression remained calm, but her body shifted closer to Qiao Sang instinctively. With a slightly trembling voice, she muttered:

“Protect .”

“Little Treasure Hunter! Gangbao!” Qiao Sang shouted.

“Xun Xun~”

Little Treasure Hunter materialized, its eyes glowing blue.

A Venomous Fang Worm lood overhead, jaws open wide.

A thick drop of purple venom began to drip from its fang, dangling precariously above Little Treasure Hunter’s head—re milliters away.

Suddenly, an invisible force rippled outward, freezing everything in place.

The venom halted mid-air, suspended at its original spot, no longer dripping downward.

The swarm of Venomous Fang Worms paused in mid-flight, struggling desperately but unable to move. One by one, their eyes widened, filled with panic.
