Qiao Sang dismounted from Yaobao.
Most of the surrounding beasts were brightly colored red ones, but even so, Yaobao attracted the majority of people’s attention as soon as it landed.
A nearby fire-type lizard-like pet beast couldn’t stand its Beast Tar saying "good boy" to it one mont and then getting distracted by another pet beast the next mont. It imdiately showed a displeased expression, its tail glowing red as it swung at its own Beast Tar’s head.
"Ah!"
A scream echoed in the air.
The fire-type beasts were still as hot-tempered as ever, luckily Yaobao was more obedient...Qiao Sang picked up the now smaller Yaobao and queued at the entrance.
When it was her turn, she showed the task confirmation sent to the back-end by the Beast Taming Center after task distribution to the ticket inspector, and smoothly walked inside.
Qiao Sang followed the address given in the task details to a hall.
A lot of people had gathered inside by then, and almost everyone had a fire-type beast by their side.
Probably because of the concentration of fire-type beasts, Qiao Sang felt the temperature inside was a bit higher than outside.
"Yan Yan."
A pet beast with a small chimney on its head looked over and showed a mocking expression.
Yaobao’s face turned sour, before it jumped out of its Beast Tar’s arms.
Qiao Sang didn’t give it much thought.
"Gang Sword."
At that mont, Gangbao’s voice echoed in her mind.
The guy who looked like a chimney just mocked Yaobao for being so big yet still needing a Beast Tar to carry it.
Qiao Sang turned her head to glance at the beast Gangbao ntioned, her mind recalling its details.
Chimney Monster, a fire attribute General-level pet beast. The chimney fueled with flas indicates that it’s focused, while black smoke will erge from the chimney when it’s unhappy.
Qiao Sang withdrew her gaze and bent down to pick up Yaobao again.
Yaobao’s first reaction was to struggle.
"Let hold you, you’re soft, it’s comfortable holding you." Qiao Sang said softly.
"Ya Ya..."
Yaobao stopped moving, showing a compromising expression.
Ah, although it had grown up, there was nothing it could do if its Beast Tar wanted to carry it.
"Yan Yan!"
Seeing this scene, the Chimney Monster sulked, turned its head, and called out to its Beast Tar, indicating it wanted to be held too.
The thin-bodied young man didn’t understand what had gotten into his pet beast, but still bent down to pick it up.
"Yan Yan?"
The Chimney Monster felt comfortable and made a sound; was it soft?
Are you soft or not? Don’t you know yourself... The young man didn’t answer, conveying his thoughts with his eyes.
The Chimney Monster noticed the aning in its Beast Tar’s eyes and instantly emitted black smoke from its head.
"Everyone!" A lady with a work badge cleared her throat to attract attention and announced loudly, "In a mont, let each of your fire-type beasts line up to go up. The selected beasts will remain, and the unselected ones you can simply summon back into the Beast Taming Codex. The competition scenes outside will be live-stread here."
"Of course, if the Beast Tars of the selected beasts wish to watch on-site, we’ve arranged seating outside. You can find then."
Everyone listened quietly, seemingly having no issue with this arrangent.
What? There are selected and non-selected ones as well? Qiao Sang was a bit dumbfounded.
If Yaobao wasn’t selected, would this task still count as completed?
Qiao Sang glanced around and picked a relatively friendly-looking woman to ask:
"Hello, I have a question about the specifics of this competition’s rules?"
The woman looked over, her gaze falling on Yaobao, paused for a mont, and softly responded with a question:
"You don’t know about the Artifact Crafting Competition?"
Qiao Sang replied embarrassedly:
"I know a bit, but not much. I’m just here for the task."
The woman didn’t question further, starting to explain the competition content:
"This Artifact Crafting Competition is already the finals; the participating Artifact Masters have been selected from towns, counties, and cities after several rounds of previous competition. They will blindly select fire-type beasts arranged by the organizers to assist in crafting, using our fire-type beasts."
"The competition lasts three days, during which the selected fire-type beasts will continuously help."
"Once the artifacts are crafted, their functions will be demonstrated on-site, and then the Artifact Association judges will select the top ten artifacts based on their scores and on-site audience voting to determine the top three."
"Finally, ten lucky audience mbers will be drawn on-site to receive these ten artifacts."
No wonder there are so many people here... Qiao Sang suddenly realized.
The woman saw Qiao Sang’s expression and smiled:
