Chapter 53: Listing sentints

I feel like chatting.

First, let introduce myself: a chronic procrastinator and a severe sufferer of laziness.

The initial reason I started writing this story was my recent fondness for Beast Taming narratives and then wanting to find a female-centric Beast Taming story to read. Sadly, there were too few, and their backgrounds were mostly quite old-fashioned, so I decided to just write one myself.

I’ve followed Pokémon from the Kanto Region to the Kalos Region, so writing an overview of Beast Taming should be no problem for …

Although I knew the female readership was small and not many would read it, I still chose to write with a female protagonist and publish in the female-oriented category.

After all, I am a girl…

As a newbie, I posted the first two chapters with zero backlog, purely on a whim, and then after writing over ten thousand words, I got signed. At the ti, I was thrilled…

Later, I realized that being signed or not didn’t make much of a difference as not many people were reading it. Since it was in the female-oriented category, I had braced myself for this, so I decided to let loose and update every other day…

So, I kept on with this lax schedule for half a month before I got a chance to be featured. The editor only asked not to stop updating during the feature period, and since it was my first ti being promoted, of course, I agreed.

Even though I didn’t understand why my first serialization during the promotional period would appear on QQ Reading…

But my first monthly ticket and my first lengthy review ca from readers on QQ Reading. I was so excited that I impulsively promised not to stop updating or abandon the story…

Lately, though, I’ve been thinking that, being as lazy as I am, an occasional hiatus might still happen…

Being prone to laziness, I don’t have a backlog. I always drag my feet and only start writing late, and then I’d play with my phone for a while, write a bit, and then eat so snacks…

Later, after surviving the recomndation PK, I couldn’t take a break due to the next round of promotion.

But by then, I had readers who would comnt and reward with votes, which motivated a bit more, so during that period I often managed to update by 6 pm.

Actually, I’ve thought about taking a day off many tis…

Because the most comfortable pace for is an update every two days…

But because people voted for and comnted every day, I persevered.

In the beginning, I would excitedly respond to every comnt, but not anymore; I’m afraid of being urged to update faster…

Although the number of readers is not much compared to others in the female category, for , moving from no interactive readers to having daily feedback is already quite an achievent.

About going premium, the editor talked to the other day, said it’s going to be May 23rd…

I feel it’s too soon. I have no backlog, and going premium typically ans rapid updating…

I procrastinated until the 22nd and still haven’t started saving up chapters.

But there’s no need to panic. I’ve decided to drink coffee tonight and code more words to update a bit more tomorrow…

Moreover…

New authors going premium tend to write two chapters a day mostly because there’s a full attendance prize.

But because I had five days of no updates between signing and going premium—those days before the promotion when I updated every other day—I won’t be eligible for that full attendance prize even if I update two chapters daily after going premium.

I found out about that later…

I’m a bit sad but also sowhat relieved—it feels like I found an excuse not to update twice daily…

I know the number of readers will dramatically decrease after going premium, but that’s okay. I won’t abandon the story!

If the performance is good, I will try hard to save up so chapters for a mass release.

If it’s not, I will still update consistently; it’ll be less frequent, but that’s the sentint of a lazy person!

I really want to list and thank the readers who’ve been consistently supporting every day, but it seems inappropriate to put in the speech for going premium. I’ll take the ti to properly thank everyone next ti…

Let answer a question that many of you might be concerned about: whether there’s going to be a male lead in the story.

Personally, when I read romance, I like stories of intense, painful love…

If I wrote that, I’m afraid I couldn’t resist creating a lodramatic tale of tortured love, which doesn’t fit the tone of this book, so I probably won’t introduce a male lead.

Lastly, please support with your first subscription, especially since the chapter for the 23rd is sothing I worked on fueled by coffee…

Well, that’s about it.

Speech for going premium, done perfectly…
