Jiang Datou made the killing much easier. No matter how fiercely the two wonderians shouted, Tianming and Jiang Datou filtered it all out automatically.
Finally, both “coconuts” were cracked open by Jiang Datou. Tianming had Bai Ling rush in and pletely obliterate the two souls. In that area, Bai Ling was even more efficient than Bai Ye.
"Totally dead," Bai Ling coldly said, then returned to Tianming’s brain to continue its intense fight with Bai Ye. The two had gotten so into it that not battling for even a day made them unfortable. Originally, that Sixth’s fated enemy was Yin Chen. But ever since Bai Ling had returned, the two Sixths had been too busy fighting each other and they’d long forgotten about Yin Chen.
Tianming tried it out and found that he could just barely fit both cosmic god essences into Zhoutian Henfeng’s top-grade spatial ring.
Jiang Datou was amazed and said, "Not only did you kill them, but you’re carrying their corpses around?"
"That’s right," Tianming nodded.
"But they aren’t naturally deceased cosmic gods. What use is their essences alone?" Jiang Datou asked.
Tianming smiled, but didn’t explain further.
"You’ve got a serious grudge with them or something?" Jiang Datou asked in a low voice.
"I’ve got a grudge with the entire Eightpart Pantheons," Tianming replied.
"Oh? Then you’re just like me. So you saw injustice and came to help out?" Jiang Datou smiled.
"Exactly," Tianming said.
"Nice, very nice." Jiang Datou extended his hand and introduced himself. "My name’s Jiang Datou, from the Perpetual Jiang Clan of the Primordial Sands. And you?"
"Lin Feng, from the orbiter world of the Greatsun Zephyr," Tianming answered. He figured that Feiling would recognise him from the name alone.
"Brother Lin Feng!" Jiang Datou clasped his hands and asked, "What’s your next move?"
"I’ve pletely offended the Eightpart Pantheons. With no safe place for me left in the Upper Star Ruin, I want to fight to my heart’s content here, then follow you to the Primordial Sands and leave this place that’s brought me nothing but sorrow. Can I?" Tianming asked. He didn’t know the way to the Primordial Sands exit.
"Of course you can. You're defecting to the light and we’ll wholeheartedly wele you! But... you’re no spy, are you?" Jiang Datou grinned. He had already retracted his golden wings and looked like a hearty, cheerful man.
"To get close to you, I killed two third-level wonderian cosmic gods. Does that sound worth it?" Tianming chortled.
"Doesn’t sound worth it at all. Besides, even if you infiltrated us, you couldn’t do much. There are some former citizens from the Upper Star Ruin living in the Primordial Sands, too. Most of them escaped from orbiter worlds." Jiang Datou shook his head.
"Oh? Sounds like I’ll find a lot of like-minded people there," Tianming nodded.
Jiang Datou looked around, then said, "We shouldn’t stay here long. Brother Lin Feng, e with me."
"After you," Tianming said.
The three-hundred-meter-tall giant led Tianming through the mists of the Miracle Mountain. On the mountain, the two giants were no different from ants. Soon, they slipped into a crevice.
"Big bro?" Just as Tianming entered, he heard a woman’s voice from ahead. Looking up, he saw a second-level cosmic god standing deep inside. She had a curvy figure and a cute face. Two little tiger teeth peeked out when she smiled and she had snow-white hair like a little white tiger.
When Tianming saw her, she was gnawing on a beast leg that was clearly from some exotic creature in the Ancestral World.
"You didn’t warn me earlier that a handsome guy was ing!" The girl quickly hid her beast leg then wiped the glistening oil off her lips before pouting at Jiang Datou.
"How do you know he’s handsome under that mask?" Jiang Datou asked.
The girl glanced at Tianming and smiled. "From experience. Ugly guys always think they’re hot and love to show their skin. Only real handsome guys wear masks to hide their brilliance."
Jiang Datou looked at the scraps of beast hide covering himself and dryly said, "Are you subtly hinting something, Sister?"
"I’m outright mocking you," the girl sneered.
"Get lost!" Jiang Datou dragged Tianming over and said, "This is my sister, Jiang Xiaobai. Single, over three hundred years old, never had a boyfriend, zero experience. A theoretical expert in love, but a plete novice in practice."
"Hey! What kind of brother exposes his own sister like that?!" Jiang Xiaobai turned purple with rage.
"Nice to meet you, Miss Jiang," Tianming politely greeted.
"His name’s Lin Feng," Jiang Datou patted Tianming on the shoulder and said to Jiang Xiaobai, full of admiration, "He’s just a half-step cosmic god, yet he managed to tangle with a third-level one. I bet you couldn’t beat him."
"What?" Jiang Xiaobai blankly stared. "That’s absolutely impossible. Nothing in this world defies logic like that."
"It was just luck," Tianming replied.
Jiang Datou laughed, amused by his modesty. He turned to Jiang Xiaobai. "Don’t judge him by his origin. He may be from the Upper Star Ruin, but he's pissed off a lot of the Eightpart Pantheons. He’s decided to roll with us from now on."
"Oh?" Jiang Xiaobai raised an eyebrow. "Little Brother Lin Feng, from now on, Big Sis Xiaobai’s got your back!"
Tianming nodded. He actually felt pretty fortable around the sibling duo.
Maybe they’re Ling’er’s relatives? Ling’er didn’t have children, but maybe her clan did and had descendants? Tianming was truly eager to visit the Primordial Sands and see that golden crystal star for himself. If Ling’er had bee a star, she had to be a cosmic god. Only cosmic gods could bee stars!
Just as they were getting acquainted, Jiang Datou looked around and asked, "Where’s the others?"
"Oh right, I totally forgot!" Jiang Xiaobai scratched her head and laughed sheepishly. "Big Bro, they went to the Ninelives Cave. I heard a Ninelives Ancestral Tree showed up there. It’s bearing a lot of Ninelives Fruits and everyone’s being drawn to it!"
"Ninelives Fruit? That stuff's amazing... is the tree huge?" Jiang Datou asked in slight awe.
"I heard it’s so ridiculously big that most of it’s still buried inside Miracle Mountain," Jiang Xiaobai longingly said.
"Then we better hurry. Those fruits are valuable." As he spoke, Jiang Datou looked at Tianming along with his sister. Both of them said almost at the same time, "You ing?"
Yin Chen had already told Tianming about the Ninelives Ancestral Tree. It was a mysterious tree of the Ancestral World, but Tianming had the Radix World Tree, the ancestor of all trees. He might just be able to leverage that.
He grinned in response. "I love excursions!"
