In the Realm of Order, the enormous Ninedragon Imperial Tomb rested on the newly formed crimson surface of the Sun, resembling a vast palace. The tomb remained motionless, awaiting the emperor’s return.
Under such circumstances, only the emperor's women could freely enter and leave the tomb. The legendary divine wonderian ancestor, Tian Jiu, for one, spent nearly all her time in the tomb, detached from all worldly affairs. She didn't cultivate much, because it was meaningless. For her, life seemed to consist of only one thing—silently waiting.
But still, she wasn't lonely. In one of the grand halls of the tomb resided not one, but fifty breathtakingly beautiful women. Although they bore a striking resemblance to one another, they possessed unique souls, which allowed for conversation and kept loneliness at bay.
The sisters enjoyed their private family time together more than Moran did. From lighthearted play to the study of music, dance, and singing, these shared passions naturally enriched their days and provided fulfillment. However, they would still seek out Moran from time to time to ask her the same questions.
“Why hasn’t our little brother e home?”
“Has he found someone new and forgotten us?”
“His progress is far too slow! I wish he would grow taller already!”
Moran could only patiently explain that they couldn't assist Tianming in the Realm of Chaos, and reiterated that he was there to quickly “grow taller.”
Her explanation delighted the sisters. They threw themselves into their practice, perfecting both dreamlike and passionate dances and songs, eagerly anticipating the day they could perform for him. The wonders transformed their dances and melodies into the world's most sublime and transformative art.
Moran was relieved to see the sisters relaxed and no longer as tense and sensitive. Despite being the youngest, she often acted as their eldest sibling, carefully guiding their fragile and plex emotions. It was unavoidable as their souls were inplete.
When you get back, make sure to really praise them. You’re everything to them.
Thinking about the young man, Moran smiled as a warm, sweet feeling washed over her.
Just then, a mysterious force suddenly enveloped the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb.
"Who’s there?”
Moran shot to her feet and stood protectively in front of her sisters, staring ahead with a cold expression. A transparent vortex opened up, unleashing silver streams that quickly increased and solidified into a liquid-like silhouette of a woman.
Wonders rose from Moran’s body as she prepared for battle. The strange woman's ability to infiltrate the tomb indicated she was no ordinary person. Moran hadn’t even seen her physical form yet.
With her chin slightly raised, the silver woman looked at Moran with eyes reflecting both life’s vicissitudes and contempt. “Falling in love was your fatal mistake, Tian Jiu. It’s one that stripped you of any chance at transcendence."
"Who are you?" Moran asked coldly.
The silver woman didn't speak, but a chorus of bewildered voices came from behind Moran.
"Shen Wu..."
Moran turned around, only to see her sisters already standing, their faces solemn as they stared at the silver woman.
"e with me," the silver woman said coldly.
“Don’t even think about it.” Moran cautiously backed away.
But then, a pair of hands abruptly seized and pinned her. Moran looked back to find her own sisters restraining her, their eyes a conflicting mix of confusion and fierce determination.
“Little Ran, we can’t stay here. We must do what we were meant to do,” they said in unison.
“What were we meant to do?” Moran was astonished. Why was she the only one kept in the dark?
Before she could even react, her sisters merged with her one by one. The result was a new, unified Moran, her gaze now disoriented yet fiercely persistent.
“Shen Wu, I’ve waited too long for you,” Moran said.
“Follow me.”
