Elara’s POV

Sacredkin was typing...

I fired off a ssage to Alistair: "Change your nickna. We’re not doing that here."

If they weren’t going to fight, what was I supposed to watch? Our family was destined to be the most chaotic, trouble-making bunch in the Valerion Empire.

Alistair switched his nickna to Elara’s Serpent Guard.

What the hell? I stared at my phone, completely thrown.

Kaelen changed his to Elara’s Little Wyrm.

Barrett beca Elara’s Love Wolf.

Finnian switched to Elara’s Cute Foxy.

Julian went with Elara’s Rich Julian.

Silas kept his - Baby’s Pure Fortune.

Dorian was still knocked out. Silas’s tranq had been potent - the guy was dead to the world and probably having the best dreams of his life.

Elara’s Serpent Guard posted: "Alistair, birthday mid-September, 6’2.4″, system-certified standard weight."

Elara’s Rich Julian typed: "Julian, birthday late spring, 6’0″, system-certified standard weight."

Elara’s Little Wyrm sent: "Kaelen, birthday late October, 6’4″, system-certified standard weight."

Elara’s Love Wolf ssaged: "Barrett, birthday mid-April, 6’3", system-certified standard wei—"

Barrett slid into my DMs: "Barrett, early twenties, 6.3, 6.7. Praise , my lady." Complete with blushing emoji.

I glanced over and caught Kaelen’s eyes locked on my screen. I slamd my hand over the phone. "Could you give so space?"

Kaelen’s voice was low, direct: "I, early twenties, 7.0." He didn’t need extra words. That single arched brow said it all. Might as well have written "Beat that" across his forehead.

"You’ve got it wrong," I said quickly. "I asked him to grab water."

"That’s exactly what I said. Water."

You better be talking about actual water. God, my eyes are already wandering to dangerous territory.

I clenched my jaw.

Petalprovidence posted: "We’re using this rotation for nights going forward. Anyone got a problem with that?" I dropped a brick .

All six responded: "Copy that."

Petalprovidence added: "Schedule starts tomorrow."

With the night shift sorted, I stood up to get myself together. I hadn’t really seen my house yet. My stomach felt fine, I’d eaten - might as well walk around and call it cardio.

I freshened up fast and slipped into soft pink cotton loungewear, twisting my hair up. The sweet scent of floral body wash lingered on my skin. Kaelen was still planted there, shoulder against the doorfra, arms folded, watching .

"You’re really still here?" I asked.

Kaelen’s eyebrow lifted. "Would I be honored to give my wife the grand tour?"

He pressed his hand to his chest and gave this smooth bow - polished, classy. I nodded, took his offered hand, and we headed out together, moving single-file down the hallway.

Kaelen’s eyes dropped to our linked fingers. He smiled. I was being so natural and bold that it made his usual overthinking seem ridiculous.

My system showed the house at just over 32,000 square feet - decorated like royalty lived here. First ti in either life I’d experienced anything like this, and I couldn’t contain my excitent. The housekeeping bot rolled up with a scooter, but Kaelen pulled onto it and positioned himself behind , arms extended on both sides, creating a protective cage around .

Pure alpha move, his masculine presence wrapping around completely. I couldn’t help grinning.

These n. They’re sothing else entirely.

We cruised through the house together, floor by floor - cyberpunk luxury taken to the extre. I was blown away.

No way. This is seriously mine?

Every space was magazine-worthy - gaming pods, golf course, ballroom, private cinema...

My walk-in closet was beyond excessive. It was insane.

And the main building - where I lived - had this classic traditional design.

Unbelievable.

The sports cars they’d gotten were lined up in the sky garden, with a two-story landing pad for the shuttles.

My master bedroom sat on the second floor. An outdoor spiral staircase curved down to a private garden on the first level - the one I’d chosen when the island was first assigned.

I frowned. The house was stunning, but it felt hollow, like a model ho. The garden looked bare too - just a few pathetic flowers, nothing impressive.

Kaelen switched the scooter to hover mode, lifting us up gradually. The view opened up below us.

"Tell what needs fixing," he said. "I’ll get people out here to handle it."

He could see I wasn’t satisfied, despite how incredible everything looked. The only section that seed up to my standards was the area Silas had already worked on.

Silas would probably smirk: "Bunch of amateurs. You all owe one."

"There’s a lot to fix," I said. "No hurry though."

Truth was, Novareach Floating Island was enormous. To make it truly livable, I’d need to purify it. But my water abilities weren’t developed enough yet. Thinking about that, I pulled out my phone and checked the auction at Glimraven Port.

Perfect. I totally missed it.
