The delicate lace trim caught Alistair’s attention—pink lace, no less. "Did my mate actually like pink?" he wondered.

Elara’s POV
I sat in my spaceship, scrolling through research on how beastn leveled up their powers in this world. Two main options: absorb Crystals or hunt insectoids for Feral Cores.
Crystals were nearly impossible to find—especially natural Holy Crystals. Plus, there was that whole elental conflict thing. Try to boost my aqua power with a Fire Crystal? My energy would go haywire and I’d literally explode.
Hunting insectoids was even more dangerous. They’d all retreated to Obsidian World after their last defeat, and the galaxy had so kind of truce with them right now.
Besides, those things were vicious as hell. During the war, it took entire battleships to bring them down. There were still so roaming around out there.
But they were smart, cunning, brutal—operating with a hive mind that made them terrifying opponents.
I valued my second chance at life way too much for that kind of risk.
Forget it. Everyone’s struggling. I’m heading ho.
Level I was perfectly fine. I didn’t need to beco so god-tier warrior. My wood power was enough to get by.
Feral Cores could be bought with credits, though. I checked my phone and nearly fainted. One Feral Nexus cost between enormous amounts of credits.
And there are different grades? Are they seriously that expensive? Do they have drop rates too?
My guess was right on the money. Like Holy Crystals, not every insect carried a Feral Nexus. It was mostly pure luck.
I let out a heavy sigh. I’d never even seen a Feral Nexus in person, but I already felt broke. The credits I had wouldn’t buy even one decent Nexus.
I turned the spaceship around and punched in my destination. The second I hit enter, sothing slamd into my ship with brutal force.
My stomach dropped, dread washing over .
No freaking way. Did I just jinx myself?
I was literally just talking about insectoids—and now they’re here?
Another violent crash shook the entire ship. The control panel flashed red: direct contact with insectoids confird.
I quickly scanned for the nearest landing spot. I’d fought zombies in my past life. Insects were nothing I couldn’t handle.
And they sure as hell weren’t going to destroy my spaceship—this thing had cost a fortune.
I grabbed my protective suit, tied my hair back tight, pulled down my goggles, and retrieved the Dragonfire Blaster Alistair had given from storage.
Ready for war, I stepped out of the main cabin. Lucky —I was hovering above so deserted asteroid. I checked the distance to the ground: way too high for a normal landing.
Maybe I could use my spatial power.
Decision made, I jumped off the spaceship. I adjusted my position mid-fall, stored my precious ship away at the sa ti, and dove straight into my dinsional space.

The B-class male insects froze in confusion. Where had she gone?
But their razor-sharp sense of sll quickly picked up her trail.
"After her!" one of them snarled.

Elara’s POV
I glanced back and picked up speed in my fall. Getting caught mid-air was not an option. I needed solid ground to fight back properly.
My grip tightened on the Dragonfire Blaster. The insects were closing in fast—ti to make my move.
I pressed the trigger exactly like Alistair had shown . Green smoke exploded outward, and the blast tore through the air.
First ti using it, so my aim was garbage. The blazing dragon fire missed the insects completely, but it bought precious distance.
That was all I needed.
When I was close enough to the ground, I jumped out of my dinsional space. I moved with lightning speed. Vines erupted from my hands as I activated Woodward and Venomforged simultaneously.
I’d devoured tons of insect novels in my past life.
Those authors treated readers like absolute trash. Males dominating everything, females powerful but enslaved, forced to fight and breed constantly. Why? Why were they so twisted when they had that kind of power?
I’d spent countless nights furious over those ridiculous plots. Today wasn’t just about getting a Feral Nexus. Today was about letting out every bit of that rage.
Venomforged smoke spread everywhere. I spun sharply in the thick fog—and grinned when twisted giant trees and massive leaves burst up from the ground around .
