But Wu Chang was not worried at all; he did it on purpose.
With Erin present, he could tear through the Shipwreck Belt and leave this space at any ti if he wanted, but he couldn’t right now; he had to choose another way to leave.
He found Cui Chengze and asked, "How did you fish out the Dragon King back then?"
Cui Chengze was taken aback for a mont and then said, "I just cast the line every morning, and if luck was on my side, I caught it."
Wu Chang confird, "Every morning, like now?"
Cui Chengze nodded.
"So you don’t need any special thod to catch the Dragon King, just good luck?"
Cui Chengze said, "I told you before, it’s all luck. If you want to try, you can have the people on the ship help you fish. Oh, I rember now, before I caught the Dragon King, every ti I cast the line, I would silently pray for the Sea God to manifest."
Wu Chang nodded and asked his secretary to bring a fishing rod, bait it, and while others weren’t paying attention, he took out the Goddess of Fortune’s dice, activated the Lead-Filled Dice, and rolled three ones.
Then he muttered a prayer for the Sea God to manifest and cast the rod.
Once the bait entered the water, there was no movent. After ten minutes, not to ntion the Dragon King, not even a regular fish was caught.
Just as Wu Chang started to doubt whether the "Goddess of Fortune’s Dice" had lost its power, a massive golden shadow, several or even dozens of tis the size of the Star Jump, appeared beneath the ship.
The imnse shadow, just one glance at it could induce a fear of the deep sea.
Earlier, Cui Chengze said that the Dragon King he caught had a scale three ters large. Wu Chang had thought it was a hallucination from too much ti without catching fish, believing a one-ter scale would already be gigantic.
Seeing the Dragon King with his own eyes, Wu Chang began to doubt whether Cui Chengze had caught the Dragon King’s offspring.
In the next mont, a huge golden dragon head peered out of the water and let out a dragon’s roar.
Amidst the roar, the fishing line in Wu Chang’s hand transford into a golden chain, binding the Dragon King.
After the dragon’s roar, the Dragon King plunged into the sea, dragging the entire Star Jump out of the Shipwreck Belt.
Wu Chang handed the fishing rod to Sword Star and said, "Hold on tight!" Then he and Erin jumped off the ship.
Watching the Star Jump disappear beyond the horizon, Wu Chang looked at Cui Chengze who jumped with him and asked,
"Why did you co too?"
Cui Chengze countered, "Didn’t you wave for to follow?"
Wu Chang chuckled, "Should I call you Cui Chengze, or Sea God General?"
Cui Chengze smiled as well, "A na is just a label, like when others call you Li Zaisi, even though it’s not your na, you know they’re calling you."
While talking, a series of prompts appeared before Wu Chang.
"Player has completed Main Task One: Acquire the Star Jump ticket and complete the entire route on the ship to reach the destination."
"Player has completed Main Task Two: Discover the truth of the Silent Route."
"Player has completed Main Task Three: Choose a faction to join and help them beco the ultimate winner."
"Player has completed the hidden side mission: Help Cui Chengze thwart the New Cosmos Sect’s plot and save at least half of the passengers on the ship."
The prompts indicated that the passengers of the Star Jump, under the escort of the Sea God General’s dragon form, had returned to normal waters, and the Gao Mu Country’s leaders, due to Li Yubin’s livestream, did not further attempt to cover up.
Now that the side mission was completed, it was ti for him to claim his reward.
He glanced at Cui Chengze and said, "I’ve fulfilled your previous requests; now, isn’t it ti to discuss my reward?"
Cui Chengze asked, "What do you want? Before the New Cosmos Sect discovered this place, ships frequently strayed here and sank. This sea is filled with countless treasures; whatever kind of treasure you desire, I can help you find it."
Wu Chang swallowed, resisting Cui Chengze’s temptations, and said, "I want a bit of your blood, not much, just enough to complete the final ritual. Given your large physique, losing a bit of blood shouldn’t affect you much."
During the baptism ritual assistance, Cui Chengze had anticipated Wu Chang’s next step in reincarnation, so Wu Chang’s request didn’t surprise him.
He said, "You want my blood, which I can certainly give you, but my status is rather low. In fact, there’s soone in this sea more suitable to provide you with blood."
Wu Chang asked, "Who?"
Cui Chengze: "The one beneath the deep sea, calling out to you at night."
