The Poisonous Snake’s life force provided him with 45 points of Power, bringing his Strength Attribute to 193 points.
As a cost, his Will was deducted by one point.
Absorbing the Poisonous Snake’s life force, Wu Chang carefully observed the Poisonous Snake, seeing its body shrink rapidly like a deflating doll, halving in size in the blink of an eye.
Just as Wu Chang thought extracting the life force could destroy the ti loop of the 88th Underground Shelter, causing the locals to die completely, the Poisonous Snake stopped shrinking as its body began to glow, with large amounts of Calamity Fog rushing in to compensate for the lost life force.
When the glow faded, the green Mohawk in the alley was gone, leaving only an infant in the studded jacket that had just been born.
The rule that locals in the Underground Shelter do not die ultimately defeated the rule of dying from loss of life force, with the Calamity Fog maintaining the Poisonous Snake’s minimal survival, allowing it to live on as an infant.
From his action against the Poisonous Snake, Wu Chang drew two conclusions.
First, the existence of the Calamity Fog is not only as He Yun described, bringing disaster and summoning monsters, but it is also fundantal in maintaining the ti prison of the Underground Shelter.
Second, the locals of the Underground Shelter truly are super resilient; with the Calamity Fog as a shield, even after losing all life force, they can still survive.
This further highlights that the Helted Man who can kill locals definitely ca prepared.
Wu Chang returned to the bar, where the sensible bartender had already prepared hot milk, and on the stage, the Surgical Knife had defeated the opponent known as "Oil Barrel" from the diterranean, ready to continue the challenge.
"Our outsider—the Surgical Knife player, has defeated the 15-5 Oil Barrel and secured another victory tonight!"
"Now, the Surgical Knife player’s record stands at an impressive 9-0! Could the Broken Bottle arena be conquered by a strange outsider today? Let’s see who can stop him."
The host, as he did last night, began searching for opponents for the Surgical Knife.
The bartender sighed, just about to recite his line when Wu Chang interrupted him, saying, "Tell the host I want to go up."
The bartender was a bit hesitant, "This isn’t appropriate, right? The other party is also 9-0, and only achieved their status after fighting all night. I know you’re strong, but challenging him directly is against the rules."

The purpose of hosting cha boxing matches was to have so fun. As long as it’s exciting and the matches are entertaining, no one cares about the rules.
Moreover, letting Wu Chang join is entirely different from inviting He Yun to step in.
He Yun might be consistent, but his appearance fee is high, whereas Wu Chang is different: losing incurs no cost, and winning with his poor record only earns the lowest tier prize, saving the bar a significant amount of money.
Win or lose, the bar doesn’t lose out.
In a deal with guaranteed profit, why would the host refuse? He imdiately allowed Wu Chang’s challenge.

This remark caught the Surgical Knife’s attention and ignited the entire arena.
"Okay then, if you insist."
The host no longer insisted and opened the cage outside the ring to let Wu Chang in.
The Surgical Knife imdiately recognized Wu Chang as a player, and when Wu Chang took down the Poisonous Snake at the bar, the Surgical Knife had seen everything clearly.
The Surgical Knife said with a declarative tone:
"You shouldn’t have co up here. Based on the combat performance you saw, you think the gap between us isn’t big, but in reality, the difference is like a chasm. In the face of the Tier Barrier, you don’t stand a chance."
It’s not that the Surgical Knife was being considerate, fearing hurting Wu Chang as a fellow player, but he feared Wu Chang might have so Special Skills, forcing out his real capabilities.
