A faint black cloud rose in Xie Wei’s room, enveloping him.
The black cloud simulated the previous scene, like a layer of optical camouflage, so that the four caras in the cell, no matter which angle they observed from, could only see Xie Wei still in a coma in the ward due to severe ntal trauma.
At this mont, Xie Wei opened his eyes, his gaze cold and chanical. He began to retch violently, gagging four or five tis, and spat out a small flesh ball from his throat.
The flesh ball fell to the ground and spread out into an irregular piece of skin, painted with vivid patterns, revealing it to be a corner of so artwork.
As soon as the patterned skin touched the ground, it seed alive, moving on its own.
It absorbed ninety percent of the black cloud from Xie Wei’s body, turning the entire piece of skin into black cloud. Then it slowly squird on the ground, slipping through the door crack of the cell and disappearing without a trace.
Xie Wei spat out what was in his mouth, his cold gaze becoming bewildered, and he fell into a coma once more. The black cloud around him drilled back into his body.
In the control room, a duty mber wearing glasses sipped milk tea while looking at Xie Wei’s cell.
Seeing nothing unusual with Xie Wei, he shook his head and said to his colleague beside him:
"Old Hu, did you hear about it? The new guy locked up here is really miserable. His mind’s severely traumatized and he almost killed himself. I bet it’ll take ten days or half a month for him to recover his ntal state."
Old Hu manipulated the milk tea in his cup, pushing the pearls at the bottom into the straw one by one, and responded:
"I heard about it. He broke the woman’s record from two weeks ago, becoming this year’s unluckiest person."
Chewing on the pearls that automatically entered his mouth, he sighed and said:
"With the overall environnt declining and the spread of the extraordinary, ntally fragile people break too easily. He’s already the third one locked up here recently, isn’t he?"
The glasses-wearing colleague said, "Exactly, with things getting more chaotic, it wouldn’t be surprising if there are thirty more like him. Ah, Old Hu, help out, can’t get the last pearl up."
Neither of the duty mbers noticed that in the corridor on the underground fifth floor, a piece of skin wrapped in a black cloud was slowly squirming in a certain direction.
Chief Gao and Lei Huo did not take Wu Chang to visit the underground sixth floor. The sixth floor is the most confidential area of the Managent Bureau in each place, only opened when needed and not for tours.
The elevator returned to ground level from the underground fifth floor. Before leaving, Chief Gao and Lei Huo were stopped by Wu Chang, who reminded them that Xie Wei’s matter was not simple.
If Xie Wei’s ntal state truly collapsed, turning him into a madman filled with panic, how could he possibly avoid harming others in a mad state?
No financial gain, no harm intended, drawing strange patterns with blood, and using his own blood at that.
If he wasn’t insane, what was he doing all this for?
If it was rely to draw that pattern on the wall, he could have easily chosen a remote location rather than a bank in the East Lake District. Choosing so office building in the suburbs, even if he painted the whole building with blood, he might not have been caught.
Wu Chang’s intuition told him that there was definitely sothing wrong with Xie Wei, but he couldn’t disclose that Xie Wei was using Emotional Power. He could only say that Xie Wei’s actions based on the scene were very strange.
Chief Gao, hearing his description, expressed concern about Xie Wei’s matter as well.
Though Wu Chang’s strength was lacking in Chief Gao’s eyes, his inspiration and intuition were exceptionally accurate and his mind was ticulous. Sword Star and Shi Ning both recognized Wu Chang for this.
After a mont of thought, Chief Gao said, "Later tonight, I’ll try to borrow soone from Wanming City. They have a guy over there who can treat ntal issues. Let’s see if he can awaken Xie Wei early and extract so answers."
Wu Chang had said all the necessary reminders, and seeing that Chief Gao had already noticed the problem, he said no more.
As for Chief Gao and Lei Huo, they were very satisfied with Wu Chang’s performance. Whether it was the approach to resolving issues, the results, or the final aftermath, all minimized the impact of the Xie Wei incident.
As he was leaving, Chief Gao assured Wu Chang that if there was indeed so hidden story behind this incident, at the very least, it would warrant a C-Level rit.
Upon leaving the Managent Bureau, Wu Chang didn’t continue his patrol. Instead, he drove ho, put on a Disguise Mask, and headed straight to the comrcial street of the Peace District.
In the core area of the comrcial street, he saw that Yu Na’s restaurant had been preliminarily decorated and was currently in its trial operation phase, inviting interested clients to try the nu.
During the trial operation, it was by invitation only, but Yu Na had given him a phone number during their last eting.
After dialing the number, within two minutes, Yu Na stepped out of the shop, leading him directly into a private room inside the restaurant.
Yu Na, linking her arm with Wu Chang’s, smiled and said, "Would you like to try our specialty dish? Last ti I said I’d treat you to a al, but you told you already had plans. I hope there are no other plans today."
Wu Chang glanced at the nu. The restaurant featured creative sumr cuisine as its main offering, with so traditional sumr dishes as well. However, few dishes on the nu were priced under four digits, with so expensive gourt dishes priced over ten thousand.
The Golden Fish Village, which he once thought unattainable, seed reasonably priced and affordable compared to Yu Na’s restaurant.
"Since Boss Yu is treating, I definitely want to try it."
Yu Na went out, gave a few instructions, then returned to the private room and proactively asked:
"What brought you to find today?"
Wu Chang replied, "You’ve been in Wanghai City recently, and your information here is well-connected. There are so things I’d like to ask you about."
