After being broken by a mysterious person, the intelligence about the dungeon lost its value and was gradually made public by various factions.
According to subsequent data, the location of the dungeon’s plot is called the Tundra, a place similar to Antarctica.
As in reality, the various national powers in the dungeon plane established nurous research stations on the Tundra for research on climate, geography, biology, energy, etc.
However, one day an anomaly occurred. At the southernmost part of the Tundra, closest to the world’s end, seven research stations shortly went silent, one after another.
Players entering the dungeon need to find the seven missing research stations while ensuring their own survival.
As a dungeon on the brink of losing control, the Shivering Icefield Dungeon is not difficult; it has a low lower limit and high upper limit.
Because the main tasks are simple, completing Main Task Two by finding two out of seven stations, the survival rate in the dungeon is not low, and the pass rate is considerable.
Yet, because of the high upper limit, players find it very challenging to break the dungeon.
Situated at the junction of two major powers, the position of the Trembling Icefield is as awkward as the Midnight Cetery, causing the number of player deaths to continuously increase, and eventually approaching the brink of losing control.
However, until the Trembling Icefield was breached, it never made it onto the A-Level difficulty list, and its popularity all ca from the seventh station among the seven, the Night Island at the southernmost point of all exploration stations.
There it seems trapped in eternal night, with no sunlight year-round. According to the Naru tribe, who lived on the Tundra, in their beliefs, Night Island is the realm of the dead.
When soone in their tribe dies, they make a simple boat, place the deceased’s body on it, and push it into the sea.
The sea carries the body of the deceased to Night Island, entering eternal darkness and tranquility.
The Shivering Icefield Dungeon has a special chanism, which is that the main quest requiring finding which research station is not purely up to the players. At least the initial research station to be found is randomly assigned by the system.
Players have a one in seven chance of encountering the Night Island research station, which later beca widely known as the week-long black room.
The Night Island research station sounds the most famous, but is actually the least difficult.
The island is not large, and players only need to purchase a full set of equipnt at the base before entering the dungeon. Upon entering the island, they should make a beeline to the Night Island research station, talk sequentially with the four original inhabitants remaining there, and receive a special oil to complete the Night Island part of the storyline.
Completing this is easy; leaving is hard.
The boat to and from Night Island is on a fixed seven-day schedule. During this week, players must stay in the research station, spending the entire week with the four original inhabitants, unable to do anything, before they can leave.
Completing the story in one hour, waiting for the boat for a whole week, coupled with Night Island being in darkness throughout, leading to its nickna as the week-long black room.
After describing the relevant information about Night Island, Lei Huo sighed and said:
"The painter’s intent is obvious; he wants to trap us here for seven days to do whatever he pleases during this ti."
Upon learning about Trembling Icefield and Night Island, Wu Chang’s expression turned into that of a subway old man .
