At that mont, Amber was not alone; Grace was right beside her, speaking incessantly about sothing.
Amber's face showed no expression, but her eyes didn't reveal any impatience. Instead, she kept pace with Grace, not leaving her side.

He turned to look at Erin and then at the deserted, abandoned old teaching building, shaking his head in mild irritation.
"What are young girls thinking these days?"
Erin looked at Wu Chang, her face full of confusion, "I don't understand what you're talking about."
Wu Chang said, "I'll teach you about it later."

Wu Chang squinted, seemingly hearing a faint sound of tal scratching.
A vague black fog, carried by the wind, started to surround him.
The wind rose beside him, blowing all the way to the top of the old teaching building.
Before the decision to abandon it, the school had attempted repairs, purchasing a lot of construction materials and storing them on the roof of the old building.
With subsequent abandonnt, the repairs were halted, and the purchased materials gradually forgotten.
Under the beating of wind and rain, the racks holding the construction materials on the roof had aged and rusted severely. Now, one leg finally could not withstand the pressure and broke.
The rack lost its balance, causing the materials placed on top to wobble and slide along the slanted rack, over the edge of the old building, and plumt to the ground.
In the next mont, Wu Chang saw steel beams and rebar like spears falling from the sky towards him.

He was just about to act when Erin beside him already raised a nearly transparent Light Barrier.
The steel beams and rebar struck it with a clang, unable even to cause minor cracks, and were deflected to the side.
Within the Light Barrier, the Curse Mark on Wu Chang vanished, and the remaining black fog spun around him as though unwilling.
The falling materials made a huge noise, and Amber, who had already walked far, heard the commotion, turned to look, and saw the spot where the materials had fallen was where Wu Chang and Erin had previously stood.
A huge sense of unease rushed into her mind, and she let go of Grace, ignoring Grace's shouted warning of "Danger!" and ran frantically towards the accident site.
She waved away the dust caused by the falling materials, shouting loudly, "Sean! Erin!"
"Sean..."
A hand pressed on her shoulder, pulling her towards Erin.
Wu Chang said, "Co over here, it's dangerous outside."
Amber, realizing the two were unhard, hugged Erin tightly, her voice slightly trembling, "I thought sothing happened to you guys."
Erin patted the top of Amber's head and softly said, "Don't be afraid, we're alright, aren't we?"
Although the Curse Mark had disappeared, Wu Chang couldn't be sure that the falling dangers had completely ended.
The two guided Amber out of the accident zone, reaching a safe area before Erin let go of Amber.
Wu Chang looked at Amber with her reddened eyes, and opened his arms saying, "How about ?"
Amber sniffed, ignoring Wu Chang.
Wu Chang clicked his tongue at this, feeling cheated of post-disaster relief hugs, Erin received one but not him — it wasn't fair, he was going to make a fuss.
However, though Amber denied him a hug, Grace sprinted over and fiercely embraced him.
"I was so scared; I thought sothing happened to you and Sean, teacher."
Wu Chang gave Amber a look that said, "If you don't give it, soone else will,"
Amber responded with a look saying, "That's criminal."
With the intervention of the fire brigade, they set up yellow tape to cordon off the area around the old teaching building, and the matter was settled.
Teachers drove the curious students back to class, and before Amber returned to the classroom, Wu Chang called out to her.
"Rember our agreent? I will resolve any danger that cos from life, whether about you or us."
"And what you have to do is grow healthily without concerns. As long as I am here, nothing can threaten you — in life and study, you shouldn't bear any burdens."
"I believe you can, and I hope you can believe in us."
Amber nodded; she didn't say anything, turned around, and jogged back to the classroom.
Waiting for Amber to walk away, Wu Chang looked towards the roof of the old teaching building.
This was the third day since entering the Cursed Dungeon Plane, and initially, the Curse Mark ca slowly, but in less than twelve hours from last night till now, he had been marked twice.
If he wasn't mistaken, the ominous occurrences were growing more frequent around him.
