Amber, who swallowed the red fruit, slowly closed her eyes, her breath gradually calming, and fell into a deep sleep.

Wu Chang waited for a while on the rooftop and, seeing no signs of Amber waking up, decided to leave with her first.

Of course, he didn't forget to take Grace and Mark with him before leaving.

When the rooftop monster revealed its faceless ghostly status, both of them fainted from sheer terror, now sleeping even more deeply than Amber.

He stuffed the three into Mark's car and drove them back to Grace's house first.

He parked the car on the driveway in front of Grace's ho, leaving Mark in the driver's seat and Grace in the back.

This way, when Grace's parents look for her, they will imdiately discover that it was Mark who took her out stealthily.

Grace is good at everything except for her reckless ways, and without soone to restrain her, there's nothing she won't dare to do. This kind of personality will inevitably lead to trouble, and her parents must impose so discipline on her.

As for the cross on her, Wu Chang rely glanced at it and didn't take it.

It's not that his moral baseline is particularly strong, refusing to take what belongs to soone else.

To be frank, an item of the Primordial Spirit Core's caliber would be worth any effort to acquire, including but not limited to exploiting Grace's affection for him by swapping it for an inexpensive silver pendant with a candy stick.

But the problem was, once he got the cross, he couldn't use it.

Just like with the Sun Immortal Seal, even if he obtained Grace's cross, item description would not appear before his eyes.

He attempted to have the All-Knowing Crystal devour it directly, yet the crystal showed no reaction despite its yearning for the cross, as it wasn't the cross itself.

Through communication with the All-Knowing Crystal, he learned that the cross in Grace's hand was rely a gate leading to the Cursed Dungeon Plane's remnant Primordial Spirit Core, not having the Core itself.

ntioning the Primordial Spirit Core in the Cursed Dungeon, the All-Knowing Crystal beca unusually active, sharing quite a bit with Wu Chang.

The gist of its explanation was that the Cursed Dungeon Plane harbored a vast number of remnant Primordial Spirit Cores, at least five tis the amount found in the Sun Immortal Seal.

These creation energies are concentrated sowhere, yet to be utilized, existing in an unclaid status, and only under the influence of certain conditions would they be attracted and connected to certain things.

For example, the cross in Grace's hand.

The All-Knowing Crystal had already morized the aura of the Primordial Spirit Core within the cross and would be able to find it as long as it ca sufficiently close to that cluster of Primordial Spirit Core.

Speaking about that yet-to-be-utilized cluster of Primordial Spirit Core, Wu Chang could almost imagine a drooling, infatuated face in the emotionless electronic voice of the All-Knowing Crystal.

This uncontrollable excitent, enough to break the All-Knowing Crystal's absolute rationality, proved the imnse value of that cluster of Primordial Spirit Core.

Even the All-Knowing Crystal was astonished by the amount of Primordial Spirit Core within the Cursed Dungeon Plane.

According to it, if this world were allowed to grow freely, it could have evolved to the Abyss Fourth Layer.

After sending Grace and Mark back, Wu Chang took Amber back to Garden Street number twenty-six.

He placed Amber on the bed in the main bedroom, and he and Erin stayed by her side, waiting until midnight when Amber suddenly sat up with a gasp.

Erin wiped Amber's forehead with a towel and asked, "Did you have another nightmare?"

Amber nodded, then shook her head.

"It was a nightmare, but different from the ones before."

Wu Chang asked from the side, "Is it related to the last red fruit you ate?"

Hearing Wu Chang ntion the red fruit from the old school building, Amber's expression grew complicated, a mix of fear with relief, carrying a sort of resigned, self-destructive sense of early demise.

"Inside that red fruit was my past."

Wu Chang had already anticipated Amber's answer.

Within Frank's resentnt, it was visible that the faceless ghostly figure had extracted many things from Amber, including her emotions and other things he couldn't discern.

Combining with the subsequent speech of the faceless ghostly figure on the rooftop, it wasn't hard to deduce that among those additional things lay Amber's mories.

He knew that if he pretended nothing had happened and offered to warm up dinner, Amber might go along with the pretense, letting the matter slide.

He also knew that delving into the issue could potentially have irreversible consequences for Amber.

Yet he still asked, "Do you not want to recall those mories?"

He believed in Amber, trusting that when Amber swung that first upper hook against the faceless ghostly figure, she was already resolved to confront her heart demon.

The child had already prepared herself, and as her guardian, he naturally chose to believe.

Amber took a deep breath, organizing her chaotic thoughts, and after fifteen minutes of contemplation, she began to describe her entanglent with the faceless ghostly figure with a lenient confession attitude.

The cause of the matter began with her second foster family's house.

At that ti, she had a younger brother, and both of them were orphans adopted by their foster parents.

The foster parents treated them well, and under their care, the four unrelated individuals beca a real family.

When life got better and better, an unexpected incident occurred.

Her brother, who loved thrilling and exciting things, wanted to explore the legendary old school building.

As his sister, she didn't realize the potential risks involved, followed her brother into the old school building, reaching up to the rooftop.

She overlooked the great dangers of the old school building, where students often got injured, and neglected to pay attention to her brother.
